GENERAL CONDITIONS
- The General Conditions are an integral part of the tour program and cannot be considered separately from it.
- If sufficient participation is not achieved for the trip; Wtatil reserves the right to cancel the tour up to 21 days before the departure date. In such a case, the cancellation notice is conveyed to the guest. The full amount of the tour fee is refunded to the guest. Refunds for additional services purchased outside of the tour; if the guest has purchased domestic connection flights through Wtatil, these are also refunded. If visa services, travel health insurance, and visa applications made on behalf of the guest through these services have been used, they cannot be refunded. If no visa application has been made, visa and travel health insurance fees are canceled and refunded. If the guest has purchased domestic connection flights from another provider independent of Wtatil, Wtatil cannot claim any refund if the tour is canceled by Wtatil. The guest accepts in advance any material or moral losses caused by the cancellation and Wtatil is not responsible.
- If sufficient participation is not achieved, Wtatil may choose in good faith not to cancel the tour. In this case, the tour will be provided independently to the guest, and the guided services included in the package will cover only the international round-trip transfer.
- Guests may cancel without penalty if they notify Wtatil in writing at least 30 days prior to the departure date. Payments made to the airline company and/or commitments are excluded. If the cancellation request is made less than 30 days before the start date; if less than 31 days remain, a penalty of 50% of the remaining tour fee applies; if 15 days or fewer remain, the full tour fee must be paid as penalty to cancel the tour. For services like domestic connection, visa services, and travel health insurance, cancellation and refund policies vary depending on the timing of cancellation; prior inquiry is required. Wtatil cannot guarantee refunds for additional services.
Program Guide Services and Extra Tours
- The days and times of those tours specified in the program may be changed by the guide based on museum and archaeological site opening/closing status and weather conditions. During the tours, different guides may accompany guests.
- Panoramic city tours included in the package are brief, 2-3 hour trips organized to introduce the cities, which include guided narration from the vehicle and do not cover museum or archaeological site entrance fees. These tours, including other tours specified, depend on local authorities; if access is restricted or sites are closed due to events or weather, Wtatil is not responsible for these circumstances. Some tours may be conducted by public transport or on foot where access is limited.
- Our guide may change the days of city tours and/or additional tours based on the number of participants and site closure status. These changes are also valid for adjustments due to flight schedule changes.
- For tours to speed boats, guests should avoid heavy meals immediately before boarding and refrain from drinking excessive water. Guests with stomach, back, or neck issues or pregnant guests should inform their guide.
- There are no refunds for services like tours or meals that are not participated in, despite being included in the price.
Flight Information
- Wtatil acts as an intermediary between the airline and the passenger; in disputes, Turkish legal provisions alongside the Hague Protocol and Warsaw Convention shall apply.
- Delays or schedule changes may occur in regular or charter flights. Wtatil is obliged to notify these changes as soon as possible. Passengers accept the risk of such changes or flight cancellations when purchasing the tour.
- Children aged 0-2 pay only airport taxes.
- According to airline rules, if the outbound flight purchased as part of a round-trip ticket is not used, the return flight will be canceled.
- Check-in and boarding procedures for participants in air tours are personal and must be completed by the guest at the airport or online via airline websites before the flight.
- Last-minute delays, gate changes, and flight information are announced audibly at airports and are displayed on information screens; guests are responsible for following this information.
- Guests who do not be at the airport at the announced time, do not complete check-in or boarding procedures, or fail to board the plane, cannot participate in the tour; Wtatil is not responsible for these failures. Rescheduling or purchasing new tickets due to missed flights is the guest’s responsibility.
- The standard baggage allowance for flights departing from Turkey is 20 kg, which may vary by airline and destination. For domestic flights within the destination country, the allowance can drop to 15 kg. Excess baggage rules are determined by airlines; Wtatil is not responsible.
- Guests wishing to upgrade their tickets (to business or first class) after ticket issuance can inquire based on airline availability; no flight mileage guarantees are provided. Check whether the program’s tickets are eligible for upgrade.
- Some airlines may charge extra for meals or online check-in services.
Other Matters
- Wtatil is not responsible for direct changes or cancellations made by the guest with the hotel; in such cases, the hotel’s cancellation policies apply.
- If hotel names are not specified but only categories are given or options are presented for the same destination, guests will be informed of these details at least 48 hours before departure.
- During special periods such as fairs, congresses, concerts, events, or sports tournaments, hotels may be located farther from the disclosed locations or kilometers. In such cases, guests will be informed at least 15 days before departure by Wtatil.
- During tour registration, guests must accurately provide their passport name, date of birth, and passport number. Baggage and airline tickets are issued based on this information. Errors in these details may lead to ticket cancellation or change fees charged to the guest.
- Before traveling abroad from Turkey, guests should confirm with their mobile provider whether their phone is unlocked and compatible for international use.
- Hotel check-in time is after 15:00, and check-out time is before 12:00.
- Wtatil will communicate guest requests regarding room preferences (high floor, proximity to common areas, smoking/non-smoking, bed type) to the hotel. While efforts are made to match preferences, actual allocation depends on availability and cannot be guaranteed.
- Breakfast served at hotels varies from the traditional rich Turkish breakfast, usually a continental style with butter, jam, bread, tea or coffee served in a dedicated hall.
- In some cases, double rooms may have a single bed instead of two separate beds. Many European hotels offer joinable twin beds.
- The policy for children and extra beds varies by hotel and room type.
- Any extra bed or baby cot requested must be confirmed by the hotel and is subject to availability.
- The room capacity for extra beds and baby cots is limited to one.
- In triple rooms, an extra bed generally consists of a smaller or foldable bed, and the third bed in such rooms may be smaller than the standard. The arrangement is typically one large bed plus one extra bed.
- Incorrectly provided information regarding the number of children and their ages during reservation can lead to extra charges imposed by the hotel, for which the guest is responsible. The hotel may require proof of age for children.
- In reservations with 2 adults and 1 child, the child may not have a separate bed. Child rates apply only when the child stays with two adults. Discounts are valid only for a single child in the same age group.
- Currency exchange rate fluctuations during the day are reflected in prices in TL. Payment is based on the current rates. Additional requests and certain services (minibar, iron, etc.) are paid directly to the hotel during your stay and are not included in the tour price.
- Different countries may impose various city, tourism, or local taxes; such taxes are collected from guests at check-in or check-out by the hotel.
- Road distances in programs are map-based; actual travel times can vary due to traffic, weather, regional conditions, construction, or other factors.
- Wtatil reserves the right to modify the order of cities and main flight routes and contents of the program during unforeseen circumstances or at its discretion, without changing the core content.
- Personal belongings, luggage, passports, or IDs of tour participants are personal responsibility. Wtatil is not responsible for lost, forgotten, or stolen items. Costs related to recovering lost items are borne by the owner.
- Guests are required to carry travel health insurance policies, medications, and reports if they have health issues.
- Extra expenses may occur during check-in at the hotel, such as deposits for identification documents or credit cards. Refunds for deposits are handled directly between the hotel and guest, and Wtatil is not involved.
Visa and Passport
- No visa is required for Turkish citizens.
- Passports must be valid for at least 6 months beyond the end of the trip.
- To pass border controls and customs, passports must have at least 2 blank pages.
- Visa exemption does not guarantee entry; border authorities may refuse entry or exit. Wtatil is not responsible for such cases; responsibility lies with the passenger.
- Non-Turkish citizens or those using a second nationality with a different passport should consult relevant consulates about visa procedures for the country of visit; Wtatil is not responsible for issues arising from non-compliance.
- Passports that are torn, damaged, wet, or otherwise impaired should be renewed to avoid issues at border crossings. Responsibility rests with the passenger if not.
- Minors traveling alone or with only one parent should be aware that border checkpoints may request a notarized consent letter from the non-accompanying parent; minors and parents are advised to prepare this documentation.
