Enchanting Northern Lights & Lapland Tour with Thy for 3 Nights in 4-Star Hotels
1. DAY. ISTANBUL – ROVANIEMI – SANTA CLAUS VILLAGE – NORTHERN LIGHTS
We depart from Istanbul to Rovaniemi on Turkish Airlines scheduled flight at 09:45 in the morning. We arrive in Rovaniemi at 13:25. Upon meeting our bus at the airport, we first head to Santa Claus Village.
SANTA CLAUS VILLAGE VISIT
Santa Claus Village is known as the home of Santa Claus and is especially popular during the winter months. It is famous for its traditional Lapland houses and snow-covered landscapes. Visitors can visit Santa Claus’s house and share their special wishes. In addition, from Santa’s post office, you can send cards to yourself or your loved ones by dropping them into the red mailboxes so that they arrive by the next Christmas. The village is full of souvenir shops, local handicrafts, and Christmas-themed cafés. Santa Claus Village is a wonderful place for people of all ages to experience the magical atmosphere of Christmas, and it is where the Arctic Circle passes through, marked by a blue line of light.
After our visit to Santa Claus Village, we head to our hotel in the center of Rovaniemi. Before checking into the hotel, we stop by the safari office to receive our thermal clothing, which we will use on the safaris and tours.
After check-in and a short rest, our guests who wish may join the optional evening tour with dinner at an ice hotel and northern lights experience.
OPTIONAL ICE HOTEL VISIT, DINNER, AND NORTHERN LIGHTS
The Ice Hotel is a popular attraction open to visitors every day from December 15 to April 1. It is one of the largest snow hotels located on the Arctic Circle. The Snow Hotel is built differently every year and decorated with ice and snow art. Visitors can tour the ice rooms, ice sculptures, Ice Bar, and Ice Restaurant. After the visit, we have dinner at the Kota, the traditional Lapland hut belonging to the ice hotel, with oven-baked salmon as the main course. If luck is on our side and the weather is clear, we may have the chance to see the Northern Lights. We return to our hotel late in the evening.
2. DAY. ROVANIEMI – HUSKY AND REINDEER SAFARIS
After breakfast, we depart for the husky and reindeer farm.
Husky Safari
We arrive at the husky farm and visit huskies, one of the world’s most adorable dogs. Today we will learn how to steer our own husky team and enjoy an unforgettable sled ride with these lovely friends. Afterwards, we relax around the fire in a traditional Lapland hut (kota) with hot drinks. After the husky tour, we continue to the reindeer farm.
Reindeer Safari
After receiving information about reindeer from our local guide, we take a sled ride pulled by reindeer through the snow-covered forest. After this unforgettable experience, we spend pleasant moments around the fire and receive a “Reindeer Driving Certificate” at the end of the tour. Then we have our lunch consisting of traditional Lapland reindeer roast.
3. DAY. ROVANIEMI – FREE TIME
OPTIONAL ICEBREAKER SHIP TOUR (500 EUR PER PERSON, INCLUDING TRANSPORTATION AND LUNCH)
For the optional icebreaker tour, after breakfast we travel to the city of Kalix in Sweden, 170 km from Rovaniemi. During our journey, we cross the Sweden-Finland border and arrive at the port of Axelsvik. During the 3-hour voyage on the world’s largest tourist icebreaker ship, you will witness how the ice on the frozen sea is broken. Halfway through the journey, in the middle of the icy sea, we put on special thermal suits designed to keep us afloat in cold waters and swim in the pool created by the ship as it breaks the ice. After our tour, which is among the activities recommended by National Geographic, we go to Kukololaforsen, a fishing town in Sweden, for lunch. After lunch, return to Rovaniemi.

4. DAY. ROVANIEMI – SNOWMOBILE – ISTANBUL
Snowmobile Safari
This morning we will take an unforgettable snowmobile tour through frozen river valleys and snow-covered forests. During the journey, we will enjoy the frozen landscape and take breaks with hot drinks. Each snowmobile is shared by two people, and you may switch drivers halfway through the route. After the snowmobile tour, we return our thermal clothing. Then we transfer to the airport. We depart for Istanbul on the Turkish Airlines scheduled flight at 15:50.

89–61 days before departure: 50% cancellation right
60–45 days before departure: 25% cancellation right
44 days or less before departure: 100% payment required.
The flight times stated in the program have been obtained from the relevant airline. Our agency is not responsible for any changes that may occur in flight times. Therefore, if there is any change in time, the program may be revised.
The name, surname, and date of birth information provided during reservation must be complete and correct as shown in the passport. Name confirmation will not be made later.
Hotel vouchers and flight tickets will be sent to you three days before the tour departure date.
Tour changes may be made due to weather conditions. In this case, our company reserves the right to make the necessary arrangements.
All guests are obliged to carry their round-trip flight tickets and hotel accommodation documents with them. Guests without printed tickets are responsible for their own entry into the country.
We recommend that our guests activate international use on their mobile phones.
ACCOMMODATION & ROOM ARRANGEMENTS
Triple rooms may be provided depending on hotel availability, and the third bed may be smaller than a standard bed. It is generally arranged as 1 large bed + 1 extra bed. Extra beds are portable and foldable. This arrangement is deemed accepted by the guest.
Child discounts apply only to one child staying in the same room with two adults and meeting the age requirement.
Breakfasts at hotels are served in a continental style in line with the culture of the country visited and, in some cases, may be served in a separate hall for groups.
TOURS & EXCURSIONS
The panoramic city tours stated in the program are introductory tours lasting approximately 2–3 hours, conducted from inside the vehicle with guide commentary. They do not include entrance fees to museums or archaeological sites.
Tours may be canceled or their content changed due to restrictions imposed by local authorities, road closures, or unfavorable weather conditions. Our company is not responsible in such cases. When necessary, tours may be conducted by public transportation or on foot.
OTHER MATTERS
No cancellations or changes can be made for promotional and early booking tours.
Our company acts as an intermediary between the airline and the passenger and is subject to the Hague Protocol dated 28.09.1955. Delays and schedule changes may occur on scheduled or special flights. These situations are deemed accepted by guests in advance. Children aged 0–2 do not pay airport tax and service fees.
VISA & PASSPORT INFORMATION
Schengen visa is required for Turkish citizens. For the visa application, you must apply through our agency with a passport valid for at least 6 months from the end of the trip and the required documents.
Green passport holders whose passports were issued more than 10 years ago must renew their passports. Otherwise, they may not be admitted to the country or allowed to board the flight.
Green passport holders are exempt from visa requirements, but their passports must be valid for at least 6 months.
Having a visa does not guarantee entry into the country. The final decision lies with border police. Our company is not responsible for this.
Our company is not responsible for any problems arising from worn, wet, or damaged passports. Therefore, passports must be in suitable condition.
For guests under 18 traveling alone or only with one parent, a notarized consent letter is required. Without this document, problems may arise at entry and exit.
TOUR PARTICIPATION CONDITION
The tour program is organized with a minimum participation requirement of 40 people. If sufficient participation is not achieved, cancellation information will be communicated to you through your agency no later than 20 days before the tour departure.
