Guiding Services and Optional Tours
- The days and times of the tours specified in the program may be changed by the guide depending on whether the museums and archaeological sites at the destinations are open or closed and on weather conditions. Different guides may accompany our guests during the tours.
- The panoramic city tours included in the tour package are tours lasting no more than 2–3 hours, organized for the general introduction of cities and conducted panoramically with the guide’s commentary from inside the vehicle; they do not include museum or archaeological site entrance fees. DGNTRAVEL is not responsible if panoramic tours, including other tours specified in the program, cannot take place because local authorities do not permit visits to or entry into the relevant locations on the corresponding day and time, roads are closed due to any event, or weather conditions make it impossible to conduct the tour. Some tours may be conducted by public transportation or on foot, within the available facilities, in locations with closed roads or where vehicle access is not permitted.
- Our guide may change the days of city tours and/or additional tours, while adhering to the content of our tours, depending on the number of participants and whether museums and archaeological sites are closed. This also applies in the event of changes to flight times.
- The points to be considered on our Speed Boat tours are as follows: heavy meals should not be eaten and large amounts of water should not be consumed immediately before boarding the boat. Guests with stomach, back or neck complaints, as well as pregnant guests, must inform their guides of their condition.
- If the tours or meal services specified under the services included in the prices are not attended, no refund will be provided.
Regarding Flights
- DGNTRAVEL is an intermediary between the airline and the passenger, and in any potential disputes, the relevant provisions of Turkish legislation, as well as the Hague Protocol and the Warsaw Convention, shall apply.
- There may be delays or changes to flight times on scheduled and charter flights. DGNTRAVEL is obliged to notify guests of these changes as soon as possible. The passenger purchased the trip by accepting the risk of a change or cancellation of the flight time.
- Children between 0 and 2 years of age pay only the airport tax.
- In accordance with airline rules, if the outbound flight of round-trip flight tickets is not used, the return flight is canceled by the airline.
- For persons participating in tours involving flights, check-in and boarding procedures are personal responsibilities, and guests must complete these procedures before the flight at the airport counters of the relevant airline or online through the airline’s websites.
- Last-minute delays and gate changes that may occur on flights are announced audibly at airports and displayed on the information boards in the airport. Guests must personally monitor this information.
- DGNTRAVEL is not responsible if guests who are not present at the specified airport at the times notified in accordance with airline rules, who do not complete their check-in and boarding procedures on time, or who complete their check-in and boarding procedures on time but do not board the aircraft are unable to take the flight. All expenses related to obtaining the new round-trip flight tickets and transfers in the destination region, etc., required for guests who miss the flight to join the tour, shall be borne by the guests themselves.
- For most flights departing from Türkiye, the general baggage allowance is 20 kg. This weight may vary depending on the airline and the destination country. If there are domestic flights within the destination country, the baggage allowance on these domestic flights may decrease to 15 kg. Excess baggage weight and pricing rules are determined by the airlines and are not the responsibility of DGNTRAVEL.
- For our guests who wish to upgrade their flight tickets using miles (to business or first class), the upgrade may be carried out after the tickets are issued, subject to the availability of the airline (please check the airline with which you hold membership). No mileage guarantee is provided for any flight. Please check whether the program’s tickets are in an upgradeable class.
- On some airlines, catering and online check-in services may be subject to an additional fee.
Other Matters
- DGNTRAVEL will not accept responsibility for any change or cancellation made by the guest by contacting the hotel directly. In such cases, DGNTRAVEL’s cancellation conditions shall apply.
- In cases where only category information is provided in the tour program without specifying hotel name(s) and/or options are offered for the same destination, DGNTRAVEL will notify the guest 48 hours before the trip departure.
- During special periods such as fairs, congresses, concerts, events and sports tournaments, hotels may be used at locations or distances farther than those specified. In such a case, DGNTRAVEL will provide information 15 days before the tour departure date.
- During registration for the purchased tour, the guest must correctly enter/provide the name appearing on the passport, date of birth and passport number in the system. Flight tickets are issued based on this information. Penalties for cancellation or changes to flight tickets resulting from incorrect information will be charged to the guests.
- To use your mobile phones abroad, please check with your service provider before leaving Türkiye whether your phone is enabled for use abroad.
- For accommodation, hotel check-in time is 15:00 and check-out time is 12:00.
- DGNTRAVEL communicates room requests (high floor, proximity to common areas, smoking/non-smoking, bed type) to the hotel. Efforts are made to ensure that the reserved rooms meet the guest’s preferences, subject to the hotel’s availability. Fulfillment of these requests depends on availability at check-in and cannot be guaranteed by DGNTRAVEL.
- The breakfast served at hotels differs from the rich breakfast customary in Turkish cuisine. It is generally served as a continental breakfast consisting of limited options such as butter, jam, bread, tea or coffee, and may be served in a separate room allocated to the group.
- In some cases, a double bed may be provided instead of a twin-bedded room. Most European hotels offer rooms with two beds that can be joined together when necessary.
- Each hotel’s child and extra bed policy may vary according to room type.
- Any extra bed or baby cot is provided upon request and subject to the hotel’s availability, and must be approved by the hotel.
- The maximum capacity for an extra bed or baby cot in a room is one.
- Extra beds are provided in triple rooms; in these rooms, the bed allocated to the third person is smaller than standard beds. Triple rooms consist of 1 large bed + 1 extra bed. Extra beds consist of beds referred to as foldable beds and coach beds. Our guests are deemed to have accepted the possible cramped conditions and bed type in rooms due to the extra beds added to standard rooms in triple-room and/or reservations with children.
- If the number of children staying with adults and the children’s ages specified in hotel reservations are incorrectly declared by our guests, the relevant hotels may charge an additional fee. In such a case, responsibility lies with the guest who made the incorrect declaration. The hotel may request identification to determine the children’s ages.
- In reservations for 2 adults + 1 child, a separate bed may not be available for the child. Child prices apply only when the child stays with two adults. Child discounts apply to a “single child” belonging to the relevant age group staying with two adults.
- Exchange rate changes during the day are reflected in prices in Turkish lira. The exchange rates applicable at the time of payment are valid. Additional requests and certain extra services received at the hotel (minibar, ironing, etc.) are subject to additional charges by the hotel. These costs are not included in the price at the time of purchase and are paid directly to the hotel during your stay.
- Some countries have different practices regarding city, tourism or local taxes. Any such city, tourism or other taxes are collected from the guest by the hotel upon entry or departure.
- The road distances provided in the programs are based on maps. Travel times may be extended due to traffic, weather conditions, the geographical location of the country visited, roadworks and road conditions.
- DGNTRAVEL may change the order of the cities in the program and the main airline to be used, without altering the content of the program, in mandatory circumstances or whenever it deems necessary.
- Participants in the tour are responsible for their personal belongings, bags, luggage and passports/identity documents. DGNTRAVEL is not responsible for forgotten, lost or stolen belongings. If forgotten belongings are found, all expenses incurred in delivering them to the country and/or person shall be borne by the owner of the belongings.
- Participants in the tour must carry their travel health insurance policies and, if they have any health problems, the relevant medicines and medical reports with them.
- Upon check-in at the hotel, the hotel may request a photo ID/passport issued by official authorities and a credit card or cash deposit for possible extra expenses. The refund of the requested deposit upon check-out is a transaction between the hotel and the guest, and DGNTRAVEL has no involvement in this matter.
Visa and Passport
- A visa is required for citizens of the Republic of Türkiye.
- Our guests’ passports must be valid for at least 6 months from the end date of the trip.
- There must be at least 2 blank pages in your passport so that entry and exit stamps can be affixed at customs crossings/border gates.
- Being exempt from a visa to enter the countries on this tour does not mean that entry into or exit from the country is guaranteed. Passport control officers have the authority to refuse you entry into or exit from the country. DGNTRAVEL is not responsible for this situation; responsibility lies with the passenger.
- Guests who are not Turkish citizens or who have dual citizenship and will participate in the tour using the passport of the other country must personally consult the relevant consulates regarding the visa procedure applied by the destination country to the passport they will use. Otherwise, DGNTRAVEL shall not be responsible for any resulting consequences.
- Passports must be renewed in order to avoid problems with customs police at the border gate of the country to be visited due to torn, worn, wet and/or similarly damaged passports. Otherwise, responsibility lies with the passenger.
- As there is a possibility that guests under the age of 18 traveling alone or with only one of their parents may be asked by police officers at country entry and exit points for a document showing the joint consent of both parents, we recommend that guests under 18 and their parents pay particular attention to this matter.
