Day 1: Trabzon - Skopje – Bitola - Resen – Ohrid
Meet 3 hours before the flight in front of the Ajet Airlines counter at Trabzon Airport, departure terminal. Depart from Trabzon to Skopje on Ajet Airlines’ scheduled non-stop direct flight. After an approximately two-hour comfortable journey, arrive in Skopje, the capital of North Macedonia. After entry procedures, we depart with our private vehicle waiting in the area for our tour of Resen and Bitola, famous for its magnificent nature and historical riches. We set off toward Bitola, once one of the Ottoman Empire’s most important cultural and commercial centers. Upon arrival in Bitola, we visit from the outside the Military High School where the great leader Atatürk studied and the Atatürk Museum. In this magical city, we will also discover Ottoman-era historical monuments such as the Turkish Bazaar, the Bedesten, Ishak Pasha Mosque, and the New Mosque. As you feel the historical texture of Bitola, you will have the chance to take a pleasant walk through the city’s nostalgic streets. After a short break here, we continue toward Resen, where we will view panoramically the Palace of Resneli Niyazi Bey, an important figure who left his mark on Balkan history. Resen offers a fascinating atmosphere with both its nature and Ottoman traces. After our tour, we head toward Ohrid. Breathtaking landscapes will accompany us along the way. Upon arrival in Ohrid, we will take a tour introducing this historic city, which was one of the important bases of the Ottoman Empire in the Balkans. Among the places we will see during our tour are the 9th-century Byzantine monks Saints Cyril and Methodius Monument, believed to have developed the Cyrillic alphabet, the Church of St. Sophia, and the Ancient Theater from the Roman era. We will also have the opportunity to stroll through Cinar Square, the heart of the city, and visit the Turkish Bazaar dating back to the old Ottoman period. Here you can visit the Halveti Tekke and feel the cultural texture of the city up close. Then, by visiting the New Bazaar and Ohrid Market, you will witness the daily life of the local people. Finally, Ohrid’s famous lake and its enchanting view will accompany our tour. After the tour, free time and transfer to our hotel. Overnight stay and dinner at our hotel. Day 2: Ohrid – Sveti Naum - Tetovo – Matka Canyon - Skopje
After breakfast, we leave our hotel and set off on an exciting journey to St. Naum, where the source of Lake Ohrid and St. Naum Monastery are located, known as “A Corner of Heaven in the Balkans.” In this enchanting place, you will have the opportunity to photograph the unique beauty of the landscapes in the heart of nature. During our free time, we will enjoy exploring this historical and natural wonder. After a trip full of unforgettable memories and great photos, we set out to discover North Macedonia’s unique nature and cultural treasures. Our first stop is Tetovo, one of North Macedonia’s most striking towns. Here, we will visit the Colorful Mosque, one of the most colorful and impressive mosques in the Balkans. Built in the 15th century, this mosque will truly fascinate you with its vivid colors and detailed decorations on the exterior. As we explore this exquisite example of Ottoman architecture, we will embark on a journey into the depths of history. After our visit in Tetovo, we head toward Matka Canyon surrounded by lush green mountains. Are you ready to explore Matka Canyon, located amid the enchanting forests and vast meadows of Mount Vodno? This natural wonder of about 5,000 hectares will take you to mystical monasteries from the Middle Ages and calming lake views. While walking on rugged cliffs, you can observe the region’s endemic plant and animal species. For nature lovers, a walk along the green paths is the best way to be alone with nature. After our Matka Canyon tour, we head to Skopje. Upon arrival in Skopje, our first stop is the Mustafa Pasha Mosque, one of the city’s largest and most magnificent mosques, built in 1492. Then we visit the Murat Pasha Mosque, built in the 15th century. This mosque is especially notable for its Ottoman-era craftsmanship and architecture. Continuing our tour, we will see Kapan Han and Sulu Han in the heart of Skopje. These structures, fine examples of Ottoman-era inns, were once important centers where merchants stayed and traded. Later, we visit the Stone Bridge, which has become a symbol of Skopje. This bridge was built in the 15th century and connects the two sides of the Vardar River. Walking from the Stone Bridge, we will continue our tour by seeing the Turkish and Jewish neighborhoods along the banks of the Vardar River. During our riverside walk, we pass through Macedonia Square. This square, the largest and most central point of Skopje, is surrounded by modern buildings. Here we will encounter the statue of Alexander the Great and other monuments. Then, we view from the outside the Ottoman Bridge dating back to the 15th century and visit the Davut Pasha Bath, once again feeling the splendor of the Ottoman period. We continue exploring the city by walking toward Skopje’s Turkish Bazaar. Before reaching the bazaar, we see the Clock Tower, built in the 16th century and one of Skopje’s symbolic structures. Here we will visit the Sultan Murad Mosque and the Isa Bey Mosque, among the early mosques of the Ottoman Empire. The mosques are an important part of the city’s Islamic heritage and attract attention with their architecture. Finally, we give free time in the Turkish Bazaar. In this bazaar you can find many products, from traditional handicrafts to souvenirs. After your pleasant time in the bazaar, transfer to Restaurant Gardenia for the Balkan Night. Afterwards, we are transferred to our hotel and then retire to our rooms. Overnight in Skopje at our hotel.

Day 3: Skopje – Pristina – Prizren – Shkodra

Upon arrival in Pristina after our journey, we begin our panoramic city tour where we will explore Kosovo’s modern and historical aspects. During our tour, we will also visit many valuable Ottoman-era structures. We will see the Fatih Sultan Mehmed Mosque and the 18th-century Yasar Pasha Mosque. During this tour through the city’s historical heritage, we will have the opportunity to commemorate the important historical event and its place in Ottoman history by visiting the Tomb of Sultan Murad I Hüdavendigâr, the Ottoman Sultan who was killed on the Kosovo Plain as a result of the 1389 Battle of Kosovo. After our tour in Pristina, we head to Prizren, known as the cultural capital of Kosovo. Upon arrival, we begin exploring Prizren’s narrow streets, whose architecture recalls an Anatolian Ottoman town and whose shop signs are filled with Turkish inscriptions. In the city, we will visit the Sinan Pasha Mosque, one of the most important works of Ottoman architecture. In addition, the Halveti Tekke, Bayrakli Mosque, and Mehmet Pasha Bath are among the other important Ottoman monuments to be seen. After free time in Prizren, we head to the historic city of Shkodra in northern Albania. Shkodra will fascinate you with its natural beauty and rich historical texture. Day 5: Medugorje – Počitelj – Blagaj – Mostar – Sarajevo
After breakfast, we head to Sarajevo. Our first stop is Počitelj, preserved with its historical texture and known as the Turkish Village, where we will see works made by the Ottomans in the 16th century. After the visit, Blagaj, built at the source of the Buna River, one of Europe’s strongest water springs. After a short free time in this magnificent natural landscape, we head to Mostar. In Mostar, we will see the Mostar Bridge, built by Mimar Hayreddin in 1557. This bridge, a masterpiece of Ottoman architecture, was destroyed by Croatian artillery during the war in 1992; however, it was reopened in 2004 with great contributions from the Republic of Turkey. After the Mostar Bridge, we will visit the Koski Mehmed Pasha Mosque. Then we head to Sarajevo. Upon arrival, a city that for centuries was the cultural capital of the Balkans and went down in history as the place where World War I broke out after Austro-Hungarian Crown Prince Archduke Franz Ferdinand was assassinated by the Serbs in 1914. In the 1992 war, it suffered great destruction as a result of the devastating wars between Serbs, Croats, and Bosniaks, but Sarajevo managed to preserve much of its beauty. Day 6: Sarajevo – Belgrade

In this enchanting city, we will have the opportunity to discover the intersection of Ottoman and European cultures. Upon arrival in Belgrade, a panoramic city tour begins in which we will explore the city in all its splendor. Here, you can feel the historical atmosphere and discover the texture of Belgrade that brings together the past and the present. Then we go to one of the city’s most impressive spots, where the Sava River meets the Danube River. In this unique landscape, it will be a great pleasure to explore this region, which has been the focal point of many conquests and victories throughout history. As we continue to discover this ancient city, where Fatih Sultan Mehmed was wounded for its sake but whose conquest fell to Suleiman the Magnificent, you will encounter Belgrade Fortress, used as a supply center for the Ottoman navy. While tracing history in this fortress, we will see important points such as the Fortress Square and Stone Square. During our tour, we will see the Tomb of Şehit Ali Pasha, one of the important figures of the Ottoman period. Day 7: Belgrade - Sremski Karlovci – Novi Sad – Tuzla
After breakfast, our first stop is Sremski Karlovci. In this beautiful town, after 72 days of negotiations in 1699, the Treaty of Karlowitz was signed between the Ottoman Empire and Austria-Hungary-Venice and Poland. During our visit, the 4-door venue where the treaty was signed, and outside of it the square, the Four Lions Fountain, the historic high school, Orthodox and Catholic churches are among the places we will see. After a coffee break, we continue on our way. Along the route, we will see the Belgrade Gate, the clock tower, the upper city, the long barracks, and the Leopold Gate at Petrovaradin Fortress. Then arrival in Novi Sad. Vojvodina is a multi-ethnic province in northern Serbia. Economically, it is the most developed region of Serbia and its capital is Novi Sad. During our walking tour here, Freedom Square, the People’s Theatre, Danube Street and the waterfront, the Statue of Svetozar Miletić, the Catholic Cathedral, the Orthodox Cathedral of St. George, St. Nicholas Church, and the Synagogue will be among the places seen panoramically.
