Day 1 ISTANBUL – CATANIA | Siracusa & Noto
We begin our tour by meeting our guide at 05:30 at Istanbul New Airport International Terminal. After ticketing and baggage procedures, we take Turkish Airlines scheduled flight TK1393 departing at 08:10 from Istanbul to Catania. Upon arrival in Catania at 08:35 local time, we will take a panoramic city tour of Catania. During this tour, we will see Fontana dell’Elefante, Republic Square, Etna Street, and the Duomo Cathedral. Afterwards, we transfer to our hotel and leave our luggage there until check-in time. For those who wish, in the afternoon we join the optional Siracusa and Noto tour (60 Euro). In our tour of Siracusa, the city where the famous mathematician Archimedes lived, we cross to the Ortygia peninsula, connected to Siracusa by bridges, and begin at Duomo Square, considered the main center. In this square, we will see the Siracusa Cathedral built on the site of the Temple of Athena and the Church of Santa Lucia, also known as the city’s saint. After visiting the Arethusa Fountain, a freshwater spring, and Archimedes Square, we will wander through the city’s narrow streets lined with cafés and shops. After free time, we head to Noto, one of the most important towns of Baroque style in Sicily. After the 1693 earthquake completely destroyed it, many historical buildings and architectural wonders were rebuilt in the 18th century in accordance with the original style. After our tour, we transfer to our hotel in Catania. Guests who wish may join the New Year’s Eve program presented by our guide in the evening. We bid farewell to the last day of 2025 in the magnificent city of Catania in Sicily.
Day 2 CATANIA | Etna & Savoca & Taormina
After breakfast at our hotel, those who wish may join the Etna Volcano, Savoca, where the movie The Godfather was filmed, and Taormina tour, which will be organized as an optional extra by our guide (90 Euro). We begin our tour with Mount Etna, which at 3350 meters is the largest and highest volcano in Europe and has been active for about half a million years; it is also on the UNESCO World Natural Heritage list. We ascend from the foot of the mountain covered in lava to the Silvestri Craters at 1900 meters, the level of the extinct craters. Then we continue to Savoca, where the most important scenes of The Godfather Part II were filmed. On the island of Sicily, while listening to stories about famous mafia families, you can sip a local drink at Bar Vitelli, decorated with photos of Michael and Apollonia, the film’s characters, while imagining the cult scenes of the movie. After leaving here, following the cobblestone narrow road, we will see the San Nicolo Church, dating back to the 14th century and where Michael and Apollonia were married in the movie. Then we head to Taormina via Naxos. The beautiful coastline and nature of Naxos will enchant you. Upon arrival in Taormina, Sicily’s most luxurious town, Chiesa di San Giuseppe, Porta Catania, and Porta Messina are among the places to be seen. In Taormina, we especially recommend trying Pasta alla Norma and Cannolo Siciliano, two delicacies of Sicilian cuisine. After the tour, we head to our hotel and stay overnight at the hotel.
Day 3 CATANIA - PALERMO | Cefalù
After breakfast at our hotel, we check out and hand in our room keys at reception. Then we depart for Palermo. On the way, those who wish may join the optional Cefalù fishing village tour organized by our guide (30 Euro). Cefalù is a historic and beautiful fishing town on Sicily’s northern coast. It is known for its historic streets, magnificent beaches, and the famous Cefalù Cathedral. After enjoying the view from Rocca di Cefalù hill, we descend into the historic city center and narrow streets. We will see the magnificent Cefalù Cathedral, which has a unique blend of Arab and Norman architecture. After relaxing in the cafés by the sea, we transfer to Palermo. Upon arrival in Palermo, our panoramic city tour will include Via Libertà and Via Roma streets, Quattro Canti, the Fountain of Shame, the Norman Palace, Teatro Massimo, Teatro Politeama Garibaldi, and Palermo Cathedral. After the tour, we head to our hotel and stay overnight at the hotel.
Day 4 PALERMO | Erice & Trapani
After breakfast at our hotel, those who wish may join our optional Erice and Trapani tour organized by our guide (65 Euro). We begin our tour with Erice, where you will experience a medieval atmosphere. We stroll through Erice’s stone streets and admire the magnificent view from Venus Castle. We recommend trying the delicious treats of Erice, famous for its chocolate shops and pastry stores. Then we go to Trapani, a fishing town. We walk along the fishing harbor and see the colorful fishing boats. During our stop in Trapani, which has pristine beaches such as Lido di Paradiso, guests who wish may enjoy seafood. After our tour, we head to our hotel and stay overnight at the hotel.
Day 5 PALERMO - ISTANBUL | Monreale
After breakfast at our hotel, those who wish may join the Monreale tour organized by our guide (30 Euro). Monreale, besides its charm and beauty, creates a magical feeling with its medieval atmosphere and is one of the most important cultural sites in Sicily. We visit Monreale, which has been declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site and is home to Sicily’s most important cathedral. After free time in Monreale, we transfer to the airport, also picking up the guests who did not join the tour in Palermo. After ticketing and baggage procedures, we depart for Istanbul on Turkish Airlines scheduled flight TK1376 at 18:45. Arrival in Istanbul at 23:15 local time and end of our tour.
