DAY 1: ISTANBUL AIRPORT – BARI
By entering through gate 3 at Istanbul Airport, we meet you, our valued guests, in front of the Turkish Airlines international departures F counter (counters 1–27) at 15:30 and complete the check-in procedures. Departure to Bari at 18:20 with Turkish Airlines flight TK1465. Arrival at Bari Karol Wojtyła Airport at 19:30 local time. After arrival, transfer to our hotel by our private vehicle waiting for us. After check-in, settling into the rooms. Overnight at our hotel.
DAY 2: BARI – POLIGNANO A MARE – BARI
After breakfast at the hotel, we depart by private vehicle to Bari city center. Bari is a historic port city on the Adriatic coast, one of Italy's 20 administrative regions and the administrative center of the Puglia region. With a population of 1.3 million, it is the third-largest city in Southern Italy. On our panoramic tour of Bari, the Old Town (Vecchia Bari), the San Nicola Basilica dedicated to Saint Nicholas of Antalya-Demre (11th century), the Teatro Petruzzelli, Europe's largest private opera house, the city hall Palazzo di Città, the government building Il Palazzo della Provincia, and the coastal avenue Lungomare di Bari are among the places to see.
After the tour, we head to Polignano a Mare. Polignano is known as the “Pearl of the Adriatic” for its deep blue sea, whitewashed houses, and natural beaches carved into the cliffs. It is a charming town with poetic streets and beautiful views. It is also the birthplace of Domenico Modugno, who became famous with the song “Volare.”
After visiting Polignano, return to our hotel in Bari. Overnight at our hotel.
DAY 3: ALBEROBELLO – MONOPOLI – BARI
After breakfast, we begin our full-day tour at the time previously announced by our guide. Departure to Alberobello, which is on UNESCO's World Heritage list. In this town, famous for its traditional stone houses with conical roofs known as trulli, we will walk through history. Trullo Sovrano and the Trulli Museum are among the places to see.
After the tour, we move on to Monopoli on the Adriatic coast. Monopoli is a typical southern town with its harbor, fishing boats, small squares, and colorful houses lined up along the shore. After a short walk and free time, we return to Bari. Overnight at our hotel.
DAY 4: MATERA – LECCE – BARI
After breakfast at the hotel, we begin our full-day tour. Our first stop is Matera. We walk through the Sassi district, protected by UNESCO, with its rock-cut houses and cave churches. Matera is one of the most impressive historical settlements in Southern Italy.
Then we depart for Lecce. In Lecce, known as the Florence of the South, the Basilica of Santa Croce, Piazza Sant'Oronzo, and the Roman amphitheater are among the places to be seen panoramically.
After the tour, return to our hotel in Bari and overnight at our hotel.
DAY 5: BARI – ISTANBUL AIRPORT
After breakfast at the hotel, check out of the rooms and transfer to the airport at the time specified by our guide. After ticket and baggage procedures, depart for Istanbul at 20:30 with Turkish Airlines flight TK1466. Arrival in Istanbul at 23:40 local time and end of our tour.
