DAY 1 ISTANBUL – LUXOR
We meet at the designated time in front of the Pegasus Airlines counter at the International Terminal of Istanbul Sabiha Gökçen Airport. Following check-in and passport procedures, we depart for Luxor on Pegasus Airlines' scheduled flight. Upon arrival at Luxor International Airport, we proceed to our hotel in our private vehicle waiting for us at the airport. Following check-in at our hotel, overnight stay at our hotel.
DAY 2 LUXOR
Following breakfast, we depart from the hotel for the Luxor city tour. During our panoramic city tour, the Avenue of Sphinxes, Luxor Bazaar and Mummification Museum are among the places to be seen panoramically. Free time after the city tour. Guests who wish may join our guide’s optional Luxor and Karnak Temple Tour (90 Euros). On our tour, we set out to see Karnak Temple, which is on the UNESCO World Heritage List and is the largest ancient structure ever built in the world. Surrounded by mud-brick walls 20 meters high and containing many temples, this magnificent structure provides important information about Egypt’s history and mythology. You will feel enchanted while visiting this magnificent structure, whose construction took more than 2,000 years and to which each pharaoh made more additions than the previous pharaoh. After visiting Karnak Temple, we will tour Luxor Temple, built by the 9th Pharaoh in Luxor, home to the world’s largest open-air museum, in the name of Amun, the greatest of the ancient Egyptian gods. Following the temple visit, which resembles an open-air museum, we proceed to our river ship. Overnight stay on our river ship.
DAY 3 LUXOR – EDFU
Free time following breakfast. Guests who wish may join our guide’s optional activity, the Luxor Balloon Tour (150 Euros). We depart from our river ship with the first light of day, and following this tour, during which you can observe many temples in Luxor and even the Valley of the Kings from above in a hot-air balloon, we have free time. Guests who wish may join our guide’s optional Valley of the Kings & Hatshepsut Tour & Colossi of Memnon (100 Euros). Our first stop will be the Valley of the Kings, where magnificent tombs were carved into the desert rocks in the ancient Egyptian civilization and filled with treasures for the pharaohs’ lives in the afterlife. We will also visit King Tutankhamun’s tomb here. We will then visit the Temple of Hatshepsut, one of the most striking monuments in Egypt. While walking through the temple’s grand courtyards and admiring the intricate hieroglyphic decorations, we will also learn about Queen Hatshepsut, Egypt’s famous female ruler who posed as a man to gain the throne. We will then visit the Colossi of Memnon, two monumental statues representing Amenhotep III of Egypt’s 18th Dynasty (1386–1353 BC). These statues are located west of the modern city of Luxor and face east toward the Nile River. Following our tour, we return to our ship and have lunch. We then set sail for Edfu. Lunch, dinner and overnight stay on our ship.
DAY 4 EDFU – KOM OMBO – ASWAN
Free time following breakfast. Guests who wish may join our guide’s optional Edfu & Kom Ombo Temple Tour (80 Euros). Edfu Temple was built for the falcon-headed god Horus according to traditional Egyptian temple architecture. It is one of the best-preserved temples to have survived to the present day. At the end of the tour, we return to our ship and have lunch on board. Meanwhile, we continue sailing toward Kom Ombo on our Deluxe River Ship. Upon arrival in Kom Ombo, we will visit Kom Ombo Temple, built in the 2nd century BC during the Ptolemaic Dynasty. It is the only temple in history shared by two gods; one side is dedicated to the crocodile god Sobek and the other to the falcon god Haroeris. The temple was damaged over the centuries as a result of the flooding of the Nile River. Return to our ship after the tour. Our ship sets sail for Aswan. Lunch, dinner and overnight stay on our ship.
DAY 5 ASWAN
Free time following breakfast. Guests who wish may join our guide’s optional Abu Simbel Tour with lunch (100 Euros). On our tour, we visit Abu Simbel Temple, the site of one of the most important temple relocation operations in world history and a site protected under the UNESCO World Heritage List. Following our visit to this region, located in Egypt’s southernmost area bordering Sudan and considered one of the places in Egypt that must be visited after the Pyramids, we proceed to a local restaurant for lunch. Following our meal, transfer to our river ship. Dinner and overnight stay on our ship.
DAY 6 ASWAN – CAIRO
Following breakfast, transfer to Aswan Airport. Flight to Cairo with a domestic airline. Upon arrival in Cairo, we begin our panoramic city tour. The Old City center, Mohamed Ali Mosque, Sadat’s Tomb, Baron Palace, El Tahrir Square, the city center stretching along the Nile and Khan El Khalili Bazaar are among the places we will see on our tour. Free time after our tour. Guests who wish may join our guide’s optional Giza Pyramids & Sphinx Tour (80 Euros). We will visit the Giza Pyramids, which include the Pyramid of Cheops, one of the 7 wonders of the world, and the Sphinxes, which were considered sacred in ancient Egyptian mythology and are believed to have been built to protect the pharaohs’ tombs and pyramids by using their magical powers. Following our tour, transfer to our hotel. Dinner and overnight stay at our hotel.
DAY 7 CAIRO
Free time following breakfast. Guests who wish may join our guide’s optional New Cairo Museum Tour (70 Euros). Following our visit to this magnificent museum, opened to visitors in 2024 and housing more than 100,000 historical artifacts from the ancient Egyptian period, free time. Guests who wish may join our guide’s optional activity, the entertaining Nile River Cruise with dinner (60 Euros). On our boat, where we will have the opportunity to see Cairo illuminated on the Nile River, one of the longest rivers in the world that divides Cairo in two and gives life to Egypt, we will both enjoy ourselves and have dinner. Following our tour, transfer to our hotel.
DAY 8 CAIRO – ISTANBUL
Following breakfast, check-out from the hotel and transfer to the airport. After completing baggage and check-in procedures, departure for Istanbul on Nile Air’s scheduled flight. Arrival in Istanbul and the end of our tour.
