1. DAY ISTANBUL – MALTA
Meet our guests in front of the Malta Airlines counter at the Istanbul Airport International Departures Terminal. After luggage and ticket procedures, take the scheduled flight with KM Malta Airlines. Upon arrival, board our private bus waiting for us at the airport for a panoramic city tour of Valletta. The city of Valletta was chosen as the European Capital of Culture in 2018 by the European Union Council. Before leaving the bus, we will do a tour around the city walls and see the magnificent fortifications from outside. Then, we will explore the lively streets of the capital Valletta. Our first stop will be the “Barracca Gardens” built on the upper part of the city walls that surround this magnificent city. Built by the Knights of St. John, these gardens also offer spectacular views of the Grand Harbour and the three old cities enclosed by walls. Our next stop will be the “St. John Co-Cathedral.” Despite its simple exterior, this baroque cathedral hosts a very rich interior decoration and contains paintings by the famous artist Caravaggio. As we walk among the historically significant buildings of the capital, we will see the “Grand Master’s Palace” and the “Prime Minister’s Residence.” After the tour, there will be free time. Guests interested can join an optional tour arranged by the guide: “Marsaxlokk & 3 Cities” (€65 per person). We start our tour by visiting the fishing village named “Marsaxlokk,” where colorful Maltese boats are offered, showcasing unique designs. You will have free time in this charming fishing village with an open market. Then, we will continue to the “3 Cities”: Vittoriosa, Cospicua, and Senglea, also known as Cottonera, built and supported by the Knights of Malta. In Cospicua, we will finish our bus tour and then walk through the mysterious and charming streets of Vittoriosa, visiting historic churches and palaces. Finally, Senglea, with its stunning harbor view and a watchtower located in the heart of the Grand Harbour, will await us. Afterwards, return to the hotel for overnight stay.
2. DAY MALTA
After breakfast, free time. Guests wishing can join an optional tour: “Gozo Tour” (€85 per person). This is Malta’s second-largest island, approximately 65 km² with a population of about 30,000. We will depart early in the morning from the hotels and go through Buggiba, Mellieha, and St. Paul to reach the Cirkewwa Harbour at the northern tip of the island. We will visit the T’Pino Church, which was once a small chapel and now is a large vow church. After making wishes, we will board the ferry to go to Gozo. The ferry journey lasts approximately 30 minutes, with views of the small islands of Comino and Cominotto along the way. After the tour, return to the hotel. Overnight stay at the hotel.
3. DAY MALTA
After breakfast, enjoy free time. Guests interested can join an optional tour: “Mdina & Mosta & Captain America’s Village” (€75 per person). Mdina is the old capital of Malta and has historical significance. Join us to explore this silent city with narrow streets, known for its mysterious atmosphere. We will also visit the city walls that provide a panoramic view of almost 360 degrees of Malta. Then, we will proceed to Mosta, home to one of the largest unsupported domes in Europe. Afterward, we will go to the village known as Captain America’s Village, where a film was shot in 1979 over seven months of work, turning it into one of the island’s tourist centers. There, you can enjoy various activities and have a pleasant time. Return to the hotel for overnight stay.
4. DAY MALTA – ISTANBUL
Check out from the hotel late at night and head towards Malta Airport. (check-out procedures will be completed at 03:00). After luggage and check-in procedures, depart to Istanbul with KM Malta Airlines scheduled flight. With our arrival, our tour and services will conclude.
