We made a reservation last minute and attended with my wife, and we were particularly pleased with the journey part. The bus was comfortable, the seat spacing was wide, and despite it being a winter night, the interior was neither stuffy nor cold. Thanks to the stories shared by our guide while heading to Tuz Gölü, the long journey was never boring, and the short breaks given were well-timed. Before arriving at Ihlara Valley, we stopped for a scenic view, and the guide calmly provided information about the route while showing it through the window. The only small downside was that we had to wait for a few people at some stops at the gathering time, but the guide handled that with a humorous approach. The dinner at the hotel and the breakfast in the morning were also good enough to relieve our travel fatigue.

5 CommentsWe settled into the bus for the long night journey with my partner, and we began calmly; despite it being winter, the temperature inside the vehicle was comfortable. As we approached Tuz Gölü, the pale sunrise visible from the window made the hours spent on the road feel worthwhile. The distances between stops were well-timed; especially the short tea break given before reaching Ihlara Valley felt like a remedy. The guide provided detailed information about the underground city and Güvercinlik Valley throughout the route, so we were more prepared when we got off. The only minor issue was that the space between the seats felt a bit cramped for taller individuals on the way back; other than that, we were satisfied with the comfort of the transportation and the flow of the journey.
I joined the tour alone by reserving a spot at the last moment. The light for photography was particularly good at Lake Tuz and Güvercinlik Valley; thanks to the lightly cloudy spring weather, I was able to shoot comfortably without harsh shadows. The guide pointed out in advance where we should stop close to sunset to capture the best shots, and I appreciated that he directed the group accordingly. The dinner at the hotel was quite filling, and the room was clean. The only downside was the short waiting time for boarding the bus at some stops. Nevertheless, it was a very satisfying tour, especially in terms of scenery and photography.

The guide's little historical anecdotes about the underground cities in the region were nice. In the summer heat, the vehicle's air conditioning was sometimes insufficient, and we spent a bit of time waiting at museum entrances, but the dinner at the hotel and the breakfast in the morning were quite fulfilling. Overall, it was a satisfying weekend that was worth the price, filled with activities.
In the cold winter air, the silence by Lake Tuz was only disturbed by the sound of our footsteps; while looking at the snowy slopes of Ihlara Valley with my family, the tranquility of the view was very striking. We felt a bit crowded in the vehicle at times, but the stops along the route, especially the light near sunset in Güvercinlik Valley, were very beautiful.
