IZMIR – MILAN – (Verona Tour) – (Venice Masterpieces Tour) – VENICE
We meet at Izmir Adnan Menderes Airport International Terminal 3 hours before the flight and, after completing ticketing, baggage drop-off, and passport procedures, we depart for Milan on Turkish Airlines’ direct special flight TK3451 at 03:25. Upon arrival at Milan Malpensa Airport at 05:25 local time, we board our private coach and set off for our hotel in the Venice region. En route, guests who wish may join the optional Verona Tour (50 Euro). Verona, listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is also home to Italy’s second-largest amphitheater after the Colosseum and to the house of the world-famous love story Romeo and Juliet, written by the renowned English author Shakespeare. On our panoramic walking tour, we will stroll through Via Mazzini (the main street) and Erbe Square, surrounded by many shops, cafés, and stores, and also see Verona Cathedral. After completing the tour, we continue on to our hotel in the Venice region. VENICE – (Lunch Included Florence Masterpieces Tour) – ROME
After breakfast and check-out from the hotel, we depart for Rome. En route, guests who wish may join the optional Lunch Included Florence Masterpieces Tour (65 Euro). Upon arrival in Florence, we begin our tour with lunch at a local restaurant. In Florence, the capital of the Renaissance and the hometown of Pinocchio, we first view from the outside the Santa Maria del Fiore Cathedral, which immediately stands out with its orange-colored dome and is the fourth largest church in Europe. One of the cathedral’s most notable features is the bronze doors known as the “Gates of Paradise,” depicting prophetic stories also mentioned in the Holy Quran. Later, we will see Giotto’s Bell Tower, once used to summon the people to parliament, Signoria Square, the political and social center of Florence for centuries and home to Michelangelo’s famous David statue, and the Old Bridge (Ponte Vecchio), famous for its antique and jewelry shops. After the Florence Masterpieces Tour, we continue to our hotel in the Rome region. Upon arrival at our hotel in Rome, we receive our rooms and have free time to rest.
ROME – (Rome Icons & Nemi Strawberry Village Tour) – (Vatican and Rome Local Neighborhoods Tour)
After breakfast, we offer a full day at leisure. Guests who wish may join the optional Rome Icons & Nemi Strawberry Village Tour (85 Euro). Our first stop is Nemi. Known for its wild strawberries and therefore called the “Strawberry Village,” Nemi hosts an annual strawberry festival. After our sightseeing tour in Nemi, where its narrow streets opening onto squares and its enchanting lake and valley views blend with the scent of strawberries in the air, we continue our journey through Rome and its icons, referred to as Urbs aput mundi, meaning the “center of the world,” taking you on a historical journey through a city that comes alive with art, history, music, shopping, sunshine, and cuisine, and whose buildings in different styles from antiquity to the Renaissance create a unique atmosphere. While the masterpieces created by architects competing with one another attract thousands of tourists in every season, Rome carries even these crowds without overwhelming the visitor. On our tour of the imperial city of Rome, which has shaped European civilization and bears witness to 23 centuries of history, we will first see the Colosseum, the city’s symbol and the ancient theater that hosted gladiator fights throughout the Roman Empire, then the Roman Forum, the ceremonial center of the city in imperial times, the Trevi Fountain, where legend says those who toss in a coin will return to Rome, the Spanish Steps, famous for street artists, and the Piazza Pietra and Piazza Popolo, which will be seen panoramically. Starting with views of Castel Sant’Angelo and Piazza Navona, we visit the Vatican / San Pietro, the center of the Catholic denomination of Christianity and the world’s smallest country in terms of area. We offer free time in St. Peter’s Square (Aziz Petrus Square), where thousands of Catholics come to worship each year and where, on special occasions, the Pope appears from his office to greet the public, and where St. Peter’s Basilica, the world’s largest cathedral with 140 statues of saints, is located. After the free time, we begin our Rome Local Neighborhoods tour. In this tour, where we mingle with the people of Rome and feel like residents of the city ourselves, we experience the real Italy with its cafés, small family restaurants, boutiques, greengrocers, butchers, and many other small and charming shops, along with its naturalness and simplicity. We will see the Trastevere district, Piazza Trilussa, Ponte Sisto, and the Ghetto area, as well as the ancient Tiber Island connected to the city by two bridges, all panoramically. After the Naples tour, during the free time offered, guests who wish may join the optional Lunch Included Pompeii Tour (80 Euro). We begin the tour with lunch at a local restaurant and visit Pompeii, which lies at the foot of Mount Vesuvius and was destroyed by the eruption in 79 AD; after long excavations by archaeologists, the city was uncovered in all its vitality in 1748. We complete our tour with a visit to the ancient city of Pompeii.
Alternatively, guests who wish may join the optional Pearl of Amalfi Sorrento Tour (80 Euro). Dating back to prehistoric times, Sorrento blends Italian character and charm with a Mediterranean style, captivating visitors with its small boutique shops, stunning beaches, breathtaking views, and its famous Italian lemon liqueur Limoncello. After our city tour and sightseeing in Sorrento on the Amalfi coast, we offer free time.
After the tour, we return to our hotel in the Rome region.
ROME – (Siena & San Gimignano Tour) – (Pisa Tour) – FLORENCE
After breakfast and hotel check-out, we depart for our hotel in the Florence region. En route, guests who wish may join the optional Siena & San Gimignano Tour (80 Euro). Our first stop is Siena. Siena is famous for its narrow streets dating back to the Middle Ages, small avenues, and Campo Square, considered the largest square in Europe. After a pleasant tour of Campo Square and the historic narrow streets leading to it in Siena, we arrive at San Gimignano, our next stop. San Gimignano, which has preserved its medieval architecture and appearance to this day and has earned a place on the UNESCO World Heritage List, is also known as the “Town of Beautiful Towers” thanks to the 14 architectural marvels that remain standing out of 76 towers that survived wars and natural disasters. In San Gimignano’s narrow streets, which give visitors the feeling of traveling back to the Middle Ages and each of which opens onto the town square, we will enjoy a sightseeing tour where we can view the 14 magnificent towers panoramically. We will enjoy a sightseeing tour in one of the five villages that give Cinque Terre its name, then complete our tour and continue our journey to Milan. Known as Italy’s business and financial capital, it is also the right destination for shopping and dining. During our tour, the famous opera house La Scala, Duomo Square and Cathedral, and Porta Romano are among the main sights. After the tour, during the free time offered, guests who wish may join the optional Outlet Tour (35 Euro). On this tour, we offer free time at the outlet center, which hosts stylish stores belonging to Italy’s most prestigious brands that shape global fashion trends, as well as cafés, restaurants, and areas for personal activities. After this pleasant and affordable shopping time, we depart for Milan Malpensa Airport for our return flight to Izmir. En route, guests who wish may join the optional Como Tour (50 Euro). Como is a center in the Lombardy region known for its historic buildings and orderly urban layout. Its squares, cathedral, and lakeside offer visitors a compact and easy-to-explore area.
