Meet at the Turkish Airlines counter at the Istanbul Airport International Departures terminal 3 hours before the flight. After luggage, ticket, and passport procedures, we will depart for Barcelona on Turkish Airlines flight TK1467 at 10:55. Arriving at 13:40 local time, our panoramic city tour begins with our vehicle waiting for us at the airport. The sightseeing spots in Barcelona, the second-largest city in Spain and the capital of Catalonia after Madrid, include the Sagrada Familia Church, the Cristof Colomb Statue, Montjuic Hill, La Ramblas Street, Plaza España and Catalunya, Paseo de Gracia, Gran Via Street, the Andalusian Arena, and the Olympic Port. After our panoramic tour and free time, we transfer to our hotel in Barcelona. Overnight stay at our hotel.
After breakfast at the hotel, guests who wish can participate in the optional Girona & Figueras (Dali Museum) Tour (70 Euro). Our tour starts in Girona, the pearl of Northern Catalonia, established at the confluence of the Onyar, Galligants, and Güell rivers. The region is rich in history, boasting structures remaining from numerous invasions and ruling dynasties since the Iberians. All buildings are made of stone, well-preserved to reflect the spirit of the past. Notable sights include the Lion statue, Cathedral Square, and the Jewish Quarter. After our tour, we head towards Figueras, famous as the birthplace of surrealist artist Salvador Dali, who established a museum here to showcase his works. This museum houses the largest collection of Dali works and is considered his greatest artwork with every detail designed by him. The museum contains over 4000 works made by Dali using different techniques. On our return to Barcelona, guests who wish can also participate in the optional Barcelona Wonders: Park Güell, Gothic Quarter and El Born Tour (60 Euro). In this tour, we will explore Park Guell, a UNESCO World Heritage site and a masterpiece of Barcelona's famous architect Antoni Gaudi, accompanied by our guide. We will see the walking paths inspired by nature, the house he built for himself, and the viewing terrace surrounded by houses that look like they are made of candy, boasting arguably the best view of Barcelona, as well as the famous mosaic lizard. After the enjoyable time in Guell, we will visit the Gothic Quarter, and then at La Rambla street, we will see the 19th-century La Boqueria (Covered Market), followed by branching off into side streets, where we will explore the splendid remnants of Roman-era Barcelona, including the Temple of Augustus, the Jewish Quarter, the Palace of the Barons of Barcelona, the Aragon Royal Archives Building, Barcelona Gothic Cathedral, Bishop's Bridge, and Sant Jaume Square. Afterward, we will continue to El Born Quarter, where we will get to know the Catalan Cultural Center, a significant site in Catalan history where the 18th Century Catalonia revolts were revealed through excavations, and the cathedral 'Cathedral of the Sea', which has been the subject of films. At the end of our tour, we will have free time to relax and enjoy the flavors of Catalan cuisine in Passeig del Born, a hub of bohemia known for its famous cafes and bars.
After breakfast at the hotel, we set off towards Valencia. Valencia is the third-largest city in Spain by population and has the largest port. This city unites the old and the new, featuring both ancient structures and modern buildings. During our panoramic city tour, we will see the Town Hall, Gothic Cathedral, Arena, Arts and Science Museum, Historical Market Mercado Central, and the Old Silk Exchange. After the tour, we transfer to our hotel in Valencia. Overnight stay at our hotel.
After breakfast at the hotel, we set off towards Granada. Upon our arrival, our city tour of Granada begins, where we will visit Gran Via street, BibRambla, and town squares, Granada Cathedral (from the outside), Granada's first university Madraza, the Silk Market, and the old Nasrid Caravanserai. After the tour, we will depart for the Alhambra Palace tour. (Tickets for the Harem section may not be available in high season. In this case, only entrance to the gardens will be made.) This famed structure, listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site, was started in the 13th century as a fortress and palace on the Sabika hill dominating Granada and continued building until the 15th century. Despite appearing rough on the outside, the palace was crafted by the most skilled artisans of its time, intricately interweaving its walls. Due to the reddish clay used in the palace, it is also referred to as Alhambra, the "Red Palace." Following our palace tour, our guests who wish can join the optional Sacromonte Gypsy Quarter and Albaicin Tour we will organize this evening(45 Euro). In Albaicin, an old Muslim quarter listed as part of Spain's cultural heritage and under protection, we will take a stroll before enjoying a drink in entirely handcrafted caves while watching a Gypsy show and experiencing their lifestyle. After the tour, we return to our hotel in Granada. Overnight stay at our hotel.
After an early breakfast at the hotel, we head towards Sevilla. Our next stop is the capital of Andalucia, Sevilla. We will start our exploration in Sevilla with Maria Luisa Park, which includes Plaza de Espana, and Plaza America. In Sevilla, known as the gateway to the colonies of the Spanish Empire, it is possible to see traces of the wealth derived from the colonies at every corner. Our next stop will be the Sevilla Cathedral, the world’s third-largest cathedral (visited from the outside), which contains the tomb of Cristof Colomb. Right next to the cathedral, we will see the Giralda Minaret, the last remaining part of the mosque on which the cathedral was built, which bears the memory of the Andalusian Emirate. Next, we will visit the Alcazar, the castle of the Castilian kings that reflects the architectural heritage of both Andalusian and Christian civilizations from the outside, with a walking tour led by our guide. We will then pass through the Archives of the Indies, where records of all maritime expeditions to the Americas from the 16th to the 19th century were kept, and arrive at the narrow streets of the old Jewish quarter known as 'old' Sevilla. At the end of our walking tour, we will visit the Torre del Oro, or Golden Tower, which is an old tobacco factory now used as the main campus of Sevilla University and a maritime museum. After this, those guests who wish can join the optional Cordoba tour. (55 Euro) In Cordoba, which was the capital during the days of the Andalusian and Roman Empires, we will first be greeted by the Guadalquivir River. We will walk across the historical Roman Bridge and enter the city through the Roman Gate. We will visit the most magnificent structure of this 2000-year-old city, the Great Mosque of Cordoba, which rises on 850 columns, and witness the glory of this magnificent work while receiving enlightening information via our guide. After the tour, we return to our hotel in Sevilla. Overnight stay at our hotel.
After breakfast at the hotel, we set off towards Madrid. Upon our arrival, we will begin our panoramic city tour in Madrid, one of the most populous capitals in Europe with 3.5 million inhabitants. We will first see the Bullfighting Arena (from the outside), Alcala Gate, and Independence Square, and the Cibeles Monument. The famous street, Gran Via, will greet us with a “Bienvenido” (Welcome), after which we will pass through Paseo de la Castellana and visit the Bernabéu Stadium, the skyscrapers at Plaza Castilla, Atocha Train Station, the famous Prado Museum (from the outside), Plaza de España, with statues of Don Quixote and Sancho Panza, the Royal Palace (from the outside), and Plaza Mayor with nine gates as we go. We will ultimately reach Sol Square, the heart of Madrid, and conclude our tour, after which those guests who wish can join the optionally organized Flamenco Tour. (55 Euro) After some free time, we transfer to our hotel in Madrid. Overnight stay at our hotel.
After breakfast at the hotel, guests who wish can join the optional Toledo Tour (65 Euro) and the Segovia & Las Rozas Tour (60 Euro). These optional tours will be conducted in the order deemed appropriate by our guide, with one in the morning and the other in the afternoon. In the Toledo Tour, we will visit the former capital of Spain, now the religious center, Toledo. One of the cities that should not be missed when visiting Spain; Toledo is situated on a hill surrounded by the Tajo River and appears almost as an island. Listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site, Toledo has remarkably preserved its historical character until today. We will explore its narrow streets, the famous cathedral of Toledo (from the outside), its churches turned from Andalusian mosques, sword workshops, and numerous other wonders together. During our other optional tour, we head towards Segovia, another royal center and medieval city. Our first stop in Segovia will be the 28-meter-high cut stone Segovia Aqueduct, one of the most important remnants from the Ancient Roman period that spans 15 km in length. After our brief break to admire this 2000-year-old engineering marvel, we will see the Cathedral of Segovia, known as the queen of cathedrals, and the Alcazar (from the outside), which inspired the Disney logo with its towers while viewing the Jewish Quarter and the old streets of the city, witnessing impressive structures that have survived from the Middle Ages to the present day. After this, we will enjoy a little free time before moving on to Las Rozas. Located about half an hour from Segovia, Las Rozas Village is Spain's most famous outlet shopping center, home to world-renowned brand outlets. Here, it is possible to find products from many globally recognized brands at very special prices. After spending free time in this famous shopping area, we return to our hotel in Madrid. After breakfast at the hotel, we will head to the airport at the time determined by our guide. After luggage, ticket, and passport procedures, we will depart on Turkish Airlines flight TK 1858 at 12:00 for Istanbul. Arriving at 17:10 local time, the tour comes to an end.
