Bus Trip to Yaz Iskeçe & Thassos, 1 Night 2 Days
Day 1 – Saturday | Istanbul – Xanthi (Xanthi)
We depart at 04:00 in the morning from the Kadıköy Marriage Office, at 04:30 from in front of Mecidiyeköy Square/Bambi Cafe, at 05:00 from in front of İncirli Ömür Plaza, at 05:30 from in front of Beylikdüzü Marmara Park Shopping Mall, and at 06:00 from in front of Silivri Vega Center. (You must be at the specified locations no later than 15 minutes before the departure times.) Upon our arrival after approximately a 3-hour journey, we complete customs and passport procedures, then cross into Greece and reach the center of Xanthi (Xanthi) after a one-hour journey. In Xanthi, an important settlement inhabited by Western Thrace Turks, we take a short panoramic walking tour of the old bazaar, consisting of traditional old Turkish houses reminiscent of Safranbolu, and then offer free time to enjoy the beautiful cafés and taverns. Afterwards, we settle into our rooms and have free time. Guests who wish may join the Filamingo Outlet Shopping Mall & Jumbo Shopping Center excursion to be organized as an extra. We will return to the hotel around 19:00. (25.-€) Overnight stay in the center of Xanthi (Xanthi).
Day 2 – Sunday | Xanthi – Thassos – Istanbul
We start the day with a pleasant Sunday breakfast. Free time in Xanthi (Xanthi) until the evening. Guests who wish may join the Thassos Island tour to be organized as an extra. (45.-€) We depart from the hotel at 08:00 and travel for 45 minutes to the port of Keramoti, then cross to Thassos Island by ferry. Guests who wish may be dropped off directly at La Scala Beach. (The La Scala Beach entrance fee is not included in the price!) We then begin our Thassos tour. Our first stop on this tour is the village of Panagia, the most unspoiled village and holiest settlement on Thassos Island. Here, after walking among traditional Greek village houses and seeing the Panagia Church, we visit a traditional olive oil factory and museum in this region, famous for its olives. During our break in the village, those who wish may sip coffee at the coffeehouse in the village square, while those who wish may try the delicacies (lamb/kid/kokoretsi) at the island’s most famous tavern. We then take a panoramic tour of the Limenas area. Guests who wish may enjoy the sea, sand, and sun on the beaches in Limenas, while others may savor Greek cuisine at the taverns in Limenas and shop in the bazaar. We depart from La Scala Beach at 16:15 and from Limenas at 16:30, cross to Keramoti on the 16:45 ferry, visit the Kavala biscuit factory outlet store, and then set off toward the İpsala border gate, picking up our guests who did not join the tour and stayed at the hotel and in Xanthi. There is an opportunity to shop at the Greek Freeshop during customs and passport procedures. We arrive in Istanbul via İpsala, Keşan, and Tekirdağ, marking the end of our tour.
