Bus Tour to Parga & Corfu Island 3 Nights 4 Days
Day 1 | Istanbul – Ioannina
We set off at 21:00 from Kadıköy Marriage Office, at 21:30 from in front of Mecidiyeköy Square/Bambi Cafe, at 22:00 from in front of İncirli Ömür Plaza, at 22:30 from in front of Beylikdüzü Marmara Park Shopping Mall, and at 22:59 from in front of Silivri Vega Shopping Mall. (You must be at the specified locations at least 15 minutes before the departure times.) After approximately 3 hours of travel, upon arriving at the İpsala border gate, we complete customs and passport procedures and then cross into Greece, traveling to Parga via Alexandroupolis (Dedeagac), Komotini (Gumulcine), Xanthi (Iskece) and Kavala.
Day 2 | Ioannina – Parga
We travel along the Greek highway, passing through dozens of tunnels and taking breaks near Kavala and Thessaloniki, arriving in the historic lake district of Ioannina in the morning. We take a panoramic walking tour inside Ioannina Castle, located right next to the lake, see the Ali Pasha Mosque and the Kaleiçi neighborhood consisting of traditional Ottoman houses, and then proceed to modern Ioannina. After free time for rest and lunch here, we depart for Parga. Upon arrival, we explore Parga on foot. We see Turkish Market Street and the Venetian Castle, then take a panoramic walk through the narrow streets among traditional Parga houses and through the bazaar, arriving at Parga Square. We then check into our hotel. Overnight at our hotel in Parga.
Day 3 | Parga – Corfu
After breakfast at our hotel, free time. Those who wish may join the optional Corfu Island Tour. (€75) On this tour, we take a ferry to the island of Corfu, the jewel of the Ionian Sea. In this charming town featuring historic French and Venetian architecture, we see Saint Spyridon and Patron Saint Churches, Theotaki Square and the Venetian Castle located here. During our free time in the city center, you can purchase handmade souvenirs from select shops on the historic streets or enjoy pleasant moments in the cafés on the famous Liston Square. We then return to our hotel in Parga. Overnight at our hotel in Parga.
Day 4 | Parga – Preveza – Istanbul
After breakfast at our hotel, we depart for Preveza. Following a one-hour journey, we arrive in Preveza, located at the mouth of the Ambracian Gulf and the site of the Battle of Preveza, which took place in 1538 and ended with the victory of the Ottoman Empire. In this city blessed with a rich history, ancient sites and monuments, we walk along the pedestrian street by the harbor and through the old town, see beautiful traditional buildings and enjoy the island-like atmosphere. During our free time here, we sample local delicacies in picturesque taverns or cafés lined along the narrow, cobbled back streets. After free time to get to know the city and have a meal, we depart for Istanbul. Traveling along the Greek highway, taking breaks near Thessaloniki and Kavala, we follow the route we came by, passing through dozens of tunnels and reaching the Greek border in the evening. There is an opportunity to shop at the Greek duty-free shop during customs and passport procedures. After entering Türkiye through the İpsala border gate, we arrive in Istanbul after approximately 3 hours of travel, after midnight, marking the end of our tour. We hope to see you on our next tour…
