After completing passport and customs procedures at AJet Airlines counter in the International Departures terminal at Sabiha Gökçen Airport, we depart for Baku at 23.50 on AJet Airlines flight VF179. After arriving in Baku at 03.40 local time, we start our panoramic city tour with our vehicle waiting at the airport. We will see Haydar Aliyev Center, which has become a symbol of Baku, panoramically. We then take a short photo break at Flag Square and Baku Boulevard to immortalize this moment. After seeing the newly opened area called Ağ Şehir in Baku, we proceed to our hotel. Upon arrival at our hotel, we check-in and settle into our rooms. Guests who wish may join the extra Baku City Tour with Dinner (80 USD). We will visit the Old City, Highland Park (Martyrs' Lane, Turkish Mosque, the Square of the Soviet Union Hero, Major General Hazi Aslanov, Flame Towers, Eternal Flame, a viewing deck with magnificent views), the view of Baku and Baku Bay, and the Baku TV Tower), Little Venice. The city tour begins on the city walls of Old City, where tourists will receive information about the surrounding objects (the monument of national poet Sabir, the monument of Nizami, and the date of establishment). The program also includes the building of the Philharmonic Orchestra named after the Muslim Magomayev, the City Duma building, and the Venice-style house – external inspection of Ismaili. We will explore the famous Torgoviy Street, which resembles Independence Street of Baku. This place offers a splendid view of the city's magnificent view from Dagustu Park. Afterwards, we go to the restaurant where we will have our dinner in a set menu format. In this tour, you will get acquainted with Azerbaijani cuisine. Overnight at our hotel.
After breakfast, guests who wish may join the extra Gobustan – Mud Volcanoes – Haydar Aliyev Museum Tour with Lunch (80 USD). We set off towards Gobustan, located about 65 km southwest of Baku, which is the richest area in Azerbaijan in terms of archaeological artifacts and is on the UNESCO World Heritage list. Gobustan, located near the Caspian Sea, on the old Shirvan road, is also referred to as an open-air museum. Here, the petroglyphs and painted stones provide significant information about the lifestyle of prehistoric and medieval societies, hunting, animals, and plant cover. Then we continue our journey to visit the Mud Volcanoes area, which is close to Gobustan. This region is interesting because it contains half of the world's more than 700 Mud Volcanoes, especially the largest ones, making you feel like you are among the "Moon craters." After the explanations from the local guide, we observe the live volcanic movements. After the Mud Volcanoes, we return to Baku for our visit to the Haydar Aliyev Cultural Center, named after Haydar Aliyev, which reflects the rise of the Caspian Sea in Azerbaijani mythology. The distinguished architect Zaha Hadid's conceptual design of the building took 3.5 years to construct. The Haydar Aliyev Cultural Center is considered one of the most important structures in Azerbaijan and symbolizes the Azerbaijani society's approach to the future through its modern, extraordinary, and futuristic architecture. Inside the center, there are permanent and temporary exhibitions, archaeological findings, an ethnography section, classical instruments, and personal belongings and devices of Haydar Aliyev. During this visit, you will gain wide-ranging information about Azerbaijan from its past to the present. After the tour, we return to our hotel.
After breakfast, free time. Guests wishing can join the extra Ateshgah, Yanardag & Baku Historical Villages Tour (90 USD). Located about 30 km from the center of Baku, at the foothills of the Surakhani village, is the Eternal Fire Temple (17th-18th centuries), which is revered by Zoroastrians, Hindus, and Sikhs at various times. This place got its name "Atasgah" because of the natural gas outlets that keep burning and cannot be extinguished, meaning "House of Fire" or "Place of Fire." This is an important site for providing insight into prehistoric and medieval societies, hunting, animals, and plant life through its petroglyphs and painted stones. After lunch at a local restaurant, we explore the historic villages of Baku. After visiting the Ethnographic Qala Museum, Mardakan Castle, and Ramana Castles, guests who wish may participate in the Azerbaijan Night with Dinner and Music (60 USD).
