Day 1: ISTANBUL – ZURICH – LUCERNE– ZURICH
Meeting in front of Turkish Airlines counter at the international departures terminal of Istanbul Airport 3 hours before the flight. After luggage, ticket and passport procedures, departure for Zurich at 12:20 with Turkish Airlines flight TK 1913. Arrival in Zurich at 14:15 local time and then we depart for Lucerne with our vehicle waiting at the airport. To confirm Alexandre Dumas’s quote, “If Switzerland is an oyster, Lucerne is the pearl inside it,” visiting Lucerne is enough. Our first stop in Lucerne is the Chapel Bridge (Kapellbrücke), Europe’s oldest wooden bridge, built in 1333, which spans the Reuss River and reveals much more than just the history of Lucerne with its background. One of the most important features of the bridge is the paintings hanging from the ceiling, telling the history of Lucerne. Our second stop is the Lion Monument, one of the city's most impressive points. This statue, carved into a massive rock in memory of 800 Swiss soldiers who lost their lives defending King Louis in the 18th century, depicts a mournful lion. After photographing this statue, which Mark Twain referred to as “the most moving and mournful stone in the world,” we provide free time for purchasing Swiss watches, knives, etc. After our Lucerne tour, we proceed to Zurich, Switzerland’s financial capital and largest city, where we stroll along Bahnhofstrasse, one of the world’s most prestigious shopping streets, glancing at the windows of famous boutiques, and getting to know the historical buildings on both sides of the Limmat River with our guide's narration. We see the Chagall stained glass windows of the Fraumünster Church, the impressive towers of the Grossmünster, and walk through the stone streets of the Old Town, sharing in Zurich’s story that spans from the Middle Ages to the present day. This tour, where the city’s modern culture and historical heritage blend, invites you to an unforgettable experience touching the heart of Switzerland. At the end of the tour, we transfer to our hotel in Zurich.
Day 2: ZURICH- SCHAFFHAUSEN RHINE FALLS-FREIBURG- STRASBOURG
After breakfast at our hotel, our first stop on the tour is the Rhine Falls. With a width of 150 meters and a height of 23 meters, Europe’s largest waterfall, surrounded by its mesmerizing sound, we will take a walk before heading to Freiburg. Freiburg, repeatedly chosen as Germany’s most livable city, is a charming town in the south of Germany that is synonymous with greenery.
Also known as the capital of the Black Forest, this city currently serves as a role model for environmentalism. During our city tour, we will see Freiburger Münster (Cathedral), Markthalle (Indoor Market), Münsterplatz (Main Square), Rathausplatz, Kaiser Joseph Street, Augustiner Platz, Adelhauser Platz, and Gerberau. After the tour, we head to Strasbourg. Known for being the place where the French national anthem “La Marseillaise” was written, Strasbourg is a city where Alsace culture meets French architecture. We explore historic Notre-Dame de Strasbourg Cathedral, which held the title of the world’s tallest building until 1874, Rohan Palace, Kleber Square, and the Petit France area adorned with traditional Alsace houses. After the tour, we transfer to our hotel in Strasbourg.
Day 3: STRASBOURG–RIQUEWIHR– KAYSERSBERG – COLMAR – KARLSRUHE
After breakfast at our hotel, our first stop on the tour is Riquewihr, known as the most famous village in Alsace… With a blend of wood and concrete in two-story houses that complement each other, this charming town, with its varying colors and house shapes, attracts 2 million visitors each year. You will not get enough of taking photos in this wonderful city, where history, culture and nature are intertwined. After this, we visit Kaysersberg, which was part of Germany for more than 50 years and is renowned for its vineyards and wine production. We will see Renaissance-style wooden houses and Kaysersberg Castle during our visit. Our next stop is Colmar, one of the most enchanting cities with its colorful houses, flower-adorned streets, and great beauty, which serves as a major starting point for the Alsace wine route. The charming canals of Colmar, which date back to the 1200s along the banks of the Rhine River, are among the most notable features of the city. While touring Colmar, we will visit the Cathedral of Saint Martin, Rue Marchand (Merchant Street), and the area known as “Petite Venise” (Little Venice). After our tour, we transfer to our hotel in Karlsruhe.
Day 4: KARLSRUHE – WERTHEIM VILLAGE – WÜRZBURG – ROTHENBURG OB DER TAUBER – NÜRNBERG
After having breakfast at our hotel, we leave Karlsruhe and reach Wertheim Village, one of Germany's most popular outlet shopping centers. In this stylish shopping center designed with an open-air “village” concept, we have free time for shopping and relaxation with discounts offered by world-renowned brands throughout the year.
After free time, we head to Würzburg, a historic baroque city set alongside the Main River, surrounded by vineyards. Known for its magnificent architecture, historic bridges, and panoramic views, we will have a short photo stop at Alte Mainbrücke (Old Main Bridge) to photograph the city silhouette.
After our break, we continue our journey to Rothenburg ob der Tauber, a fairytale town that has preserved its medieval atmosphere to this day along the Romantic Road (Romantische Strasse). During our city tour, sights include the postcard-worthy Plönlein area, Marktplatz Square, the historic town hall, and a portion of the city walls. Upon arrival, we will see Nuremberg Castle from the outside, Hauptmarkt (Main Square), Frauenkirche (Church of Our Lady), St. Sebaldus Church, and the historical bridges over the Pegnitz River during our city tour. After the tour, we enjoy some free time to explore Nuremberg.
At the designated time, transfer to the airport for baggage and ticket processing, and depart for Istanbul at 18:45 with Turkish Airlines flight TK1506. We arrive in Istanbul at 22:35 local time. With our arrival, our tour ends. Looking forward to seeing you on our next journey.
