ISTANBUL – LJUBLJANA – TRIEST – (Ferrara Tour) – FLORENCE
We will complete the ticketing, baggage drop-off and passport procedures at Istanbul Airport International Terminal, arriving 3 hours before the flight, and then fly to Ljubljana at 07:30 on Turkish Airlines’ direct scheduled flight TK1061. Upon arrival at Ljubljana Airport at 08:45 local time, we will depart for Trieste by our private bus waiting for us. During our Trieste tour, the Piazza Unita building, San Giusta Basilica, Campo Square and especially Piazza Unita d’Italia, which is considered one of the most impressive squares in Italy due to its seaside location, elegant and serene grandeur, and the fact that it reflects both Italian and Central European architecture, are among the main places to be seen. Trieste is known as the birthplace of the world-famous Illy Coffee, as it was one of the main ports of the Austria-Hungary Empire for centuries and coffee beans spread to Europe largely from here. After our tour in Trieste, followed by a short free time, we head towards our hotel in the Florence region. On the way, guests who wish may join the optional Ferrara Tour (40 Euro). After our tour, during which we can see panoramically the areas and architectural structures specific to the Renaissance on one side, and on the other side the old brick houses, churches, monasteries and the historic Este Castle bearing traces of the Middle Ages, we continue our journey to Florence. Upon arrival at the hotel, room assignment and free time for rest.
FLORENCE – (Pisa & Cinque Terre by Train Tour)
After breakfast at the hotel, we offer a full day at leisure. During this free time, guests who wish may join the optional Pisa & Cinque Terre by Train Tour (95 Euro). Our first stop on the tour will be Cinque Terre. Cinque Terre consists of villages lined up one after another and connected by footpaths. With its colorful houses and distinctive local flavors, it is located on the west coast of Italy. Due to its cultural and historical features, it is on UNESCO’s World Heritage List and is also protected as a national park. After free time in Cinque Terre, we continue our journey to Pisa. Upon arrival in Pisa, the places to be visited on our tour include the Leaning Tower of Pisa, the Cathedral, the Baptistery and Miracoli Square. After a short free time for photos, transfer to our hotel in the Florence region and free time for rest.
FLORENCE – (San Gimignano & Siena Tour) – ROME
After breakfast and hotel check-out, we depart for Rome. On the way, guests who wish may join the optional San Gimignano & Siena Tour (80 Euro). Our first stop on the tour will be San Gimignano. San Gimignano has earned its place on the UNESCO World Cultural Heritage List for preserving its medieval architecture and appearance to this day, and is also known as the “Town of Beautiful Towers” thanks to the 14 architectural marvel towers that managed to survive out of 76 towers after wars and natural disasters. In San Gimignano, with its narrow streets that feel as if time has stood still and take visitors on a journey back to the Middle Ages, and its squares from which each tower opens onto the town square, we will enjoy a panoramic view of the 14 magnificent towers. After the walk, we reach Siena, the next stop on our tour. Siena is famous for its narrow streets from the Middle Ages, small avenues and Campo Square, considered the largest square in Europe. After a pleasant walk through Campo Square and the narrow, historic streets leading to it, we complete our tour and continue our journey to Rome. Upon arrival at our hotel in the Rome region, room assignment and free time for rest.
ROME – (Rome Icons & Vatican and Local Neighborhoods Tour)
After breakfast, we offer a full day at leisure. Guests who wish may join the optional Rome Icons & Vatican and Local Neighborhoods Tour (95 Euro). We take you on a historical journey through Rome and its icons, the city at the center of the world, “Urbs aput mundi,” where art, history, music, shopping, sunshine and cuisine meet, and where buildings in different styles from antiquity to the Renaissance await you. While the works created by architects competing with one another attract thousands of tourists to the city in every season, Rome carries all this crowd without overwhelming anyone, with all its beauty and elegance. On our tour, in Rome, the imperial city that has witnessed 23 centuries of history and shaped European civilization, we first see, panoramically, the Colosseum, the symbol of the city and the ancient theater that hosted gladiator fights during the Roman Empire; the Roman Forum, the ceremonial center of the city during imperial times; the Trevi Fountain, where legend says that whoever throws a coin into it will return to Rome; the Spanish Steps, famous for street performers; Piazza Pietra; and Piazza Popolo. At the end of the Rome Icons Tour, we offer free time at the Pantheon. Then, we continue by seeing Castel Sant’Angelo and Piazza Navona, and visit Vatican / San Pietro, the center of the Catholic denomination of Christianity and the world’s smallest country in terms of area. We offer free time at St. Peter’s Square (Piazza San Pietro), where thousands of Catholics come and gather for worship every year, and where the Pope comes out from his office to greet the public on special days, and where the San Pietro Cathedral, the world’s largest cathedral with 140 statues of saints, is located. After the free time, we begin our Rome Local Neighborhoods tour. In this tour, where we mingle with the people of Rome and feel like residents of the city ourselves, we will experience the real Italian atmosphere with its cafes, small family restaurants, boutiques, greengrocers, butchers and many other small and charming shops, as well as the naturalness and simplicity of Trastevere, Piazza Trilussa, Ponte Sisto and the Jewish Ghetto, and the Ancient Tiber Island, connected to the city by two bridges, which are seen panoramically. After a walk through the narrow back streets with small tables set out and like a labyrinth, we complete our tour and return to our hotel in the Rome region.
ROME – (Sorrento Tour, Pearl of Amalfi) – ROME
After breakfast, we offer a full day at leisure. During this free time, guests who wish may join the optional full-day Amalfi Pearl Sorrento Tour (95 Euro). Sorrento, with a history dating back to prehistoric times, blending Italian character and charm with Mediterranean style, captivating visitors with its small tourist boutiques, stunning beaches, breathtaking views and the Italian lemon liqueur Limoncello, is located on the Amalfi coast. After our city tour and surroundings visit in Sorrento, we offer free time for sea, sand and sun at the region’s most beautiful beaches. After this enjoyable free time, we complete our tour and return to our hotel in the Rome region.
ROME – FLORENCE – VENICE
After breakfast and hotel check-out, we depart for Florence. Upon arrival in Florence, we begin our city tour. In Florence, the capital of the Renaissance and the hometown of Pinocchio, we first see from the outside the Santa Maria Del Fiore Cathedral, which immediately draws attention with its orange dome and is the 4th largest church in Europe. One of the most remarkable features of the cathedral is the bronze door called the “Gate of Paradise,” where some scenes representing prophetic stories also mentioned in the Holy Quran are depicted. Then, we see Giotto’s Bell Tower, once used to summon the people to parliament, Piazza della Signoria, the political and social center of Florence for centuries and home to Michelangelo’s famous David statue, and the Old Bridge (Ponte Vecchio), famous for its antique and goldsmith shops. After the Florence city tour, we head to our hotel in the Venice region. Upon arrival at our hotel in Venice, room assignment and free time for rest.
VENICE – (Venice Masterpieces & Boat Ride to the Colorful Islands and Outlet Tour)
After breakfast, during the full day at leisure, guests who wish may join the optional Venice Masterpieces & Boat Ride to the Colorful Islands and Outlet Tour (135 Euro – including vaporetto transport fees). On our tour, we first offer pleasant free time at the outlet center, home to the stylish stores of world-famous brands, cafes and restaurants, and personal activity areas, for affordable and quality shopping. After the free time, we depart for our Colorful Islands program in Venice. On this tour, where we will have the chance to observe the Venice island from different angles as we pass through the lagoons, we will see the Lido and Murano islands from the sea and visit Burano Island, a fishing village famous for its lace and known as one of the 10 most colorful places in the world. After the Colorful Islands program, we head to the canal area to organize our Venice Masterpieces program. In this part of our tour in Venice, we will see major iconic structures such as St. Mark’s Square, built of stone and marble with its columns brought from Istanbul; St. Mark’s Basilica; the Doge’s Palace, designed and used as a symbol of grandeur and power; the Clock Tower; the Bridge of Sighs; and the historic Campanile Bell Tower, and then enjoy a pleasant walk through Venice streets connected by bridges and stretching along narrow canals. After the Venice Masterpieces tour, we complete our program and return to our hotel in the Venice region for free time to rest.
VENICE – (Ljubljana & Lake Bled Tour) – LJUBLJANA – ISTANBUL
After breakfast and hotel check-out, we head to Ljubljana Airport for our return flight to Istanbul. On the way, guests who wish may join the optional Ljubljana and Lake Bled Tour (65 Euro). On our tour, we first conduct our Ljubljana city tour. As the capital and largest city of Slovenia, and because it lies at the intersection of Alpine, Central European and Mediterranean cultures, Ljubljana has a very rich cultural and architectural heritage. During our tour, Vodnik Square, Ljubljana Castle, St. Nicholas Cathedral, Dragon Bridge, Old Square, the Historic Fountain and People’s Square are among the places to be seen. After a short free time at the end of the tour, we move on to Bled. We will enjoy a peaceful sightseeing tour of Bled, famous for its island in the middle of a turquoise green mountain lake of the same name, with its island church and the Bled Castle on the high hilltops. After completing our tour, we continue our journey to Ljubljana Airport. Upon arrival at the airport, after completing baggage drop-off, ticketing and passport control procedures, we fly to Istanbul at 20:15 on Turkish Airlines’ direct scheduled flight TK1064. Arrival at Istanbul Airport at 23:40 local time and end of the tour.
