İSTANBUL – BASEL – STRAATSBURG – (Freiburg Tour) – ALSACE / BASEL
We arrive at Istanbul Airport’s International Terminal 3 hours before departure and, after completing baggage drop-off, ticketing, and passport control, fly to Basel on Turkish Airlines’ scheduled flight TK1923 at 07:40. Upon arrival at Basel Airport at 09:45 local time, we meet our private vehicle waiting for us at the airport and depart for Strasbourg. Located at the border of Germany, Switzerland, and France, and also the largest city in the Alsace region, Strasbourg will welcome us with a fairytale-like, picture-perfect beauty. On the panoramic city tour we will carry out on foot through the pedestrianized center and streets of Strasbourg, which was inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List in 1988 and has been home to the European Parliament since 1992, the places we will see include Gutenberg Square and its statue, Notre Dame Cathedral, the city’s most important structure located right in its heart, and Kammerzell House, the oldest house in the city and still serving as a hotel and restaurant today. After the Strasbourg tour and the free time that follows, we head to our hotel in the Alsace / Basel region where we will stay overnight. In Freiburg, the city of happiness, where only low-carbon-emission vehicles have been allowed since 2010 and transportation is largely by tram and bicycle, the traces of the historical and architectural cultures of Germany, France, Austria, Spain, and Sweden—under whose protection the city has been throughout history—can be seen. In our city tour of Freiburg, also known as the capital of the Black Forest (Schwarzwald), the main symbol of the city, Freiburg Cathedral, the charming streets with the city’s unique small water channels, Martin’s Gate from the Middle Ages, and Rathausplatz are among the places to be seen. ALSACE – HEIDI’S VILLAGES – ST. MORITZ – MILAN
After breakfast and check-out, we set off on a panoramic journey through Heidi’s Villages, featuring the familiar scenery from the cartoon of our beloved heroine Heidi, who left a smile-filled memory in all our childhoods and lived in the Alps with her grandfather and her best friend Peter, surrounded by endless mountains and green meadows. Afterward, we head to St. Moritz. Following a sightseeing tour in St. Moritz, Switzerland’s natural wonder and favorite destination of the jet set, we continue to our hotel in the Milan region for overnight accommodation. Upon arrival at the hotel, room allocation and free time to rest.
MILAN – (Milan Masterpieces and Como Tour)
After breakfast, the entire day is free. During this free time, guests who wish may join the extra-fee Milan Masterpieces and Como Tour (65 Euro). Our first stop on the tour will be Como. Upon arrival in Como, we visit Lake Como, famous for its luxury lifestyle and natural beauty, home to the summer residences of Hollywood stars, European tycoons, and the global jet set, and we will stop for photos accompanied by the lake’s unique views. After free time in Como, we move on to the city center of Milan for the second part of the tour. Milan, one of Europe’s fashion capitals, also stands out with its cuisine, opera, and churches. Although known as Italy’s business and finance capital, Milan is also the right destination for shopping and dining. During our city tour in Milan, the famous opera house La Scala, Duomo Square and Cathedral, and Porta Romano are among the main places to be seen. At the end of the Milan Masterpieces Tour, we return to our hotel.
MILAN – (Outlet Tour) – (Portofino Tour by Boat) – NICE
After breakfast and check-out from the hotel, we set off for Nice. En route, guests who wish may join the extra-fee Outlet Tour (35 Euro). After free time for pleasant and affordable shopping at a famous outlet center in Italy, home to prestigious brands, cafés and restaurants, and leisure areas that shape the world fashion trend, we complete the tour and continue our journey to Nice. Along the way, guests who wish may join the extra-fee Portofino Tour by Boat (65 Euro). Portofino, surrounded by colorful houses and inspiring songs with its beauty, enchants visitors with its narrow streets, colorful homes, green hills, and turquoise Mediterranean scenery. After our Portofino visit, we continue toward Nice. Upon arrival at our hotel in the Nice region, room allocation and free time to rest.
NICE – (Cannes & Nice Tour) – (Eze & Monaco & Monte Carlo Tour)
After breakfast, we offer the whole day free. During this free time, guests who wish may join the extra-fee Cannes & Nice Tour (70 Euro). On this tour, we first head to Cannes. Famous for hosting the annual Cannes Film Festival, Cannes has a sparkling sea and golden sandy beaches. During our city tour in Cannes, we first see the old town, the city’s first settlement. As we walk through the narrow, winding, pedestrian streets of the old town, we will have the chance to see souvenir shops and shop. After visiting La Croisette Boulevard, which stretches along Cannes’ shoreline and is home to many luxury restaurants, shops, and hotels, as well as Meynadier Street, we enjoy free time before arriving in Nice. In Nice, places to be seen include Promenade des Anglais, Nice Port, Massena Square, the Flower Market, and the Courthouse. NICE – (Annecy Tour) – GENEVA
After breakfast and check-out from the hotel, we depart for Geneva. During our journey through magnificent natural scenery, accompanied by views of Mont Blanc, known as the roof of Europe and located on the common border of France, Switzerland, and Italy, guests who wish may join the extra-fee Annecy Tour (50 Euro). Annecy, which earned the title “the Venice of the Alps” thanks to the canals and the Thiou River flowing through it, captivates visitors with its canal-based structure and exceptional location between mountains and lake. During our visit to Annecy, Chateau d’Annecy, built in the 17th century and restored in 1947, St. Maurice Church, and Palais de l’Isle, a favorite spot for photography enthusiasts, will be seen panoramically. After a short free time on the shores of Annecy Lake, the third largest lake in France, we complete the tour and continue to Geneva. Upon arrival at our hotel in the Geneva region, room allocation and free time to rest.
GENEVA – (GOLDEN PASS Express Train to Lausanne & Montreux and Fairytale Castles Tour) – (Gruyeres Tour) – BERN – ALSACE / BASEL
After breakfast and check-out from the hotel, we conduct a city tour. Geneva, known as “the French city of Switzerland,” is situated on the shores of Lake Geneva and is a magnificent city where history, culture, science, and nature come together. The presence of the headquarters of international organizations such as CERN, the World Health Organization, UEFA, FIFA, and the United Nations gives the city a central cultural and administrative role. During our tour of Geneva, where museums, parks, historical monuments and streets, and fresh air come together, the main places to be seen are St. Pierre Cathedral, the Jet d’Eau fountain, which has become Geneva’s symbol and rises up to 140 meters, and the Reformation Wall. After the city tour, we set off for Bern. En route, guests who wish may join the extra-fee GOLDENPASS Express train tour to Lausanne & Montreux and the Fairytale Castles Tour (95 Euro). Our first stop on the tour is Lausanne, which holds an important place in our national history as the host city of the Treaty of Lausanne signed on 24 July 1923, and is also one of the important bishoprics of the Middle Ages. In Lausanne, where castles from the Middle Ages, D’Ouchy Castle, palaces, cathedrals, and museum buildings take visitors deep into history, and where its location on the shores of Lake Geneva further enhances its appeal, we will conduct a panoramic tour before heading to Montreux. Montreux, also well known in our national history, is an important city not only for its castles such as Chillon and Blonay, historic buildings, and natural beauty, but also for the music world because it has a statue of Freddie Mercury. After our panoramic tour in Montreux, we embark on an unforgettable journey into the Swiss Alps aboard the GOLDENPASS Express. Starting in Montreux, our train ride offers lake views and mountain silhouettes that will outshine postcards. After this scenic journey, which will end near Gruyeres, we continue to Bern. Along the way, guests who wish may join the extra-fee Gruyeres Tour (40 Euro). Gruyères, elected Switzerland’s most beautiful village in 2014 and the birthplace of the world-famous Gruyère cheese, is a fairytale village that has preserved its medieval character intact, giving its name both to the region and to the world-renowned cheese, with flower-adorned houses and streets. Located at 800 meters altitude on a hill in the upper valley of the Saane River, and with no vehicle traffic, this village is famous not only for its cheese but also for Fondue, one of Switzerland’s most famous dishes. After our panoramic tour in Gruyères, we complete the program and arrive in Bern. Bern is one of the few cities in Europe that has remained unchanged since the Middle Ages. Due to this historical texture, it is on the UNESCO World Heritage List. Situated within Switzerland and with German as its official language, Bern also reflects German culture in its architecture. After breakfast and check-out from the hotel, we depart for Basel Airport for our return flight to Istanbul. En route, guests who wish may join the extra-fee Alsace Pearls: Colmar & Riquewihr Tour (80 Euro). On our tour, we first go to the fairy-tale town of Colmar, where we will see the Old Customs House, Pfister House, and the most famous area of the city, Petite Venise (Little Venice), with its colorful houses around the Rhine River. In this unique setting surrounded by the Rhine River and canals, you will have the opportunity to enjoy many delicious foods as well as purchase numerous souvenirs to your taste. Our next stop will be Riquewihr, famous for its flower-decorated balconies, its distinctive rows of shops, pedestrian cobblestone streets, buildings that somehow survived World War II unharmed, and charming cafés, all surrounded by vineyards in the Alsace region; with its tower housing the Dolder Museum, which carries the city’s story to the present day with documents, it is a village that rivals Grimm’s fairy tales. After our visit to Riquewihr, we continue our journey to Basel Airport. Upon arrival at the airport and after completing baggage drop-off, check-in, and passport control, we fly to Istanbul at 19:00 on Turkish Airlines’ scheduled flight TK1926. Arrival at Istanbul Airport at 23:05 local time, and the end of our tour.
