Tourdetail
1. DAG Istanbul – Amsterdam We will meet at Istanbul Sabiha Gökçen Airport in the international departures terminal three hours before departure to complete our ticket and baggage procedures. Our flight to Amsterdam with Pegasus Airlines’ scheduled service will take approximately 3 hours and 40 minutes. Upon arrival in Amsterdam, we begin exploring the city. Amsterdam, known for its historical and cultural richness, canals, museums, and lively atmosphere, is among Europe’s most cosmopolitan cities and also stands out among other European capitals with its liberal lifestyle. In this youthful city, many events, festivals, and concerts are held throughout the year, and it is also filled with galleries, museums, and exhibitions showcasing classical and modern art works. During our Amsterdam tour, Damrak, the city’s most popular square, the Royal Palace, one of the official residences of the Dutch royal family, and Oude Kerk (Old Church), the oldest church in Amsterdam, are among the places we will see. After free time for shopping and dining, in the evening we will head to our hotel and have free time to rest. 2. DAG Amsterdam (Marken & Volendam - Zaanse Schans) After breakfast, free time. Guests who wish may join the Marken & Volendam - Zaanse Schans excursion organized as an extra by our guide (100 €). As we visit Marken and Volendam, where we can best observe the traditional Dutch way of life, their nature and the colorful houses lined up one after another will greatly impress you. Formerly a fishing village, Marken changed form after its island became a tourist destination and was connected to the mainland by a bridge, with the production of handicrafts and traditional clothing becoming widespread. The houses built on stilts to prevent flooding are still protected today. We will travel by bridge to Volendam, which is much larger than Marken. Along the way, in the area where various cheese producers and a cheese tasting workshop are located, we will visit a cheese producer and learn about cheese production. After a short free time for shopping, we will head to Volendam. In this beautiful town, where Picasso and Renoir spent short periods in the 20th century, you can see many locals walking around in traditional clothing. While touring the town, where fishing still continues to some extent, you will see historic fishermen’s houses, museums, and workshops and shops where handicrafts are made. In Volendam, known for its traditional cuisine, you will have time for lunch. After visiting these two beautiful villages, we continue our excursion to Zaanse Schans Theme Park, where we will spend half a day. Located in Zaandam, this open-air museum was created to reflect the region’s 18th- and 19th-century rural life and industrial activities. Famous for its working windmills, the area reflects the past of the Netherlands with its traditional wooden houses, workshops, and warehouses in a historic architectural style. After free time in this charming town, we return to Amsterdam and, after free time for dinner in the city, we meet at the time determined by our guide and head to our hotel for accommodation, with free time to rest. 3. DAG Amsterdam – (Brugge) - Brussel After breakfast, we complete our check-out procedures at the hotel and depart for Brussels. Guests who wish may join the Brugge tour organized as an extra by our guide (45 €). After the journey, we will arrive in Brugge, known as the Venice of the North. With its historical texture, well-preserved medieval architecture, narrow streets, colorful historic buildings, canals, and important landmarks, the city protected by UNESCO offers visitors a journey through time. Brugge, with its green parks and history-rich nature, will also enchant you with its romantic atmosphere. During our walking city tour, among the places we will see are Grote Markt, the Town Hall with its Gothic architecture, Belfort Bell Tower, Basilica of the Holy Blood, and Minnewater (Lake of Love), which has the city’s most beautiful view. During the free time given to explore the city, you can spend time in its charming cafés and have lunch at local restaurants. After our journey, we will have arrived in Brussels. We can describe Brussels, the capital of the European Union, as one of the centers of international diplomacy. In Brussels, which successfully preserves its medieval heritage while developing as a modern metropolis, our city tour will include the Royal Palace, Grand Palace (city square), St. Michael, the Stock Exchange Building, and the Manneken Pis statue, which has become the symbol of Brussels. At the end of the tour, you will have free time to explore the city. In the evening, we will head to our hotel, and after check-in, you will have free time. 4. DAG Brussel - Trier - Luxemburg After breakfast, we depart in the morning for Luxembourg. On the way, we will visit Trier. Located in southwestern Germany on the banks of the Rhine River, Trier is one of the country’s oldest cities. Known as Augusta Treverorum during the Roman Empire, Trier is a fascinating city with its rich history and architecture. Trier’s history dates back to the Roman period, and the city was built by the Romans in the 16th century BC. Therefore, many relics and structures from the ancient Roman period can still be visited today. These include Porta Nigra (Black Gate), a UNESCO World Heritage Site, Kaiserthermen (Imperial Thermal Baths), and the Roman bridge (Römerbrücke). After our visit here, we will continue to Luxembourg. Located at the heart of Europe with its strategic position, Luxembourg is one of the most economically developed countries in the world. Founded in 963, the city lies at the intersection of Roman and Germanic cultures and was influenced by both civilizations. After the Treaty of London, it gained its current borders, and the official name of the country is the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg; the country and its capital have the same name. In addition to its natural beauty, Luxembourg also impresses visitors with its historical texture. Among the places we will see in Luxembourg are Casemates du Bock, the UNESCO World Heritage-listed historic fortifications and underground tunnels of the old city, Place Guillaume, one of the city’s main squares, and Chemin de la Corniche, described as the most beautiful balcony in Europe. During free time in the old city, you will have time for dinner. In the evening, we will leave the city and head to our hotel. After settling into our rooms, you will have free time to rest. 5. DAG Luxemburg - Metz - Paris After breakfast, we leave the hotel early in the morning after completing our check-out procedures and head to Paris. On the way, we will visit Metz. One of France’s oldest cities, Metz has repeatedly changed hands throughout history due to wars between France and Germany, and besides its atmosphere rich in history where you can see reflections of both cultures, it will also impress you with its magnificent nature. One of the greenest cities in France, Metz has a captivating landscape with the Moselle and Seille rivers and lakes. Among the landmarks in Metz are the “German Gate,” a medieval structure built by German workers on the Moselle River; the stunning Saint-Etienne Cathedral, one of the finest examples of Gothic architecture and a UNESCO World Heritage Site; Place d’Armes Square; the famous covered market of Metz; and one of the oldest buildings in France, the opera and theater building. After our visit here, we head to Paris. Upon arrival, we begin exploring Paris, one of the world’s most important metropolises, where traces of its history can be seen in every corner. Paris, one of the first symbols that comes to mind when romance is mentioned, owes this characteristic to the neoclassical architecture that shapes the entire city. Paris, adorned from its Haussmann buildings to its wide avenues and side streets, welcomes visitors as if it were an open-air museum, offering a wide range of experiences from art and culture to fashion and gastronomy. In our Paris city tour, our first stop is Champs-Élysées, the first place that comes to mind when shopping is mentioned. After free time for dining and shopping, at the time determined by our guide we meet and head to our hotel for accommodation, with free time to rest. 6. DAG Paris (Eiffeltoren - Seine - Louvrewijk - Champs-Élysées) After breakfast, free time for the whole day. Guests who wish may join the Eiffel Tower - Seine River - Louvre District tour organized as an extra by our guide (100 €). Afterwards, a pleasant experience awaits you with a boat tour on the Seine River, where you will see Paris’s iconic structures. During our river tour, some of the places we will see panoramically include the Eiffel Tower, Notre Dame Cathedral, the Louvre Museum, Alexandre III Bridge, Orsay Museum, and the Institut de France. In the enjoyable time you spend on the river, you will have the chance to see the city from a different angle and enjoy a memorable travel experience on this famous river. After the river tour, we will go up to the 2nd floor of the Eiffel Tower, where you can enjoy a bird’s-eye view of Paris’s magnificent panorama. Designed for the 1889 Paris World Fair, the tower later became the symbol of Paris and one of the most magnificent structures in the world. It remains one of the best-known tourist attractions, welcoming millions of visitors every year. Then we move to the Louvre District. The Louvre is one of the world’s largest art museums and houses world-famous works such as the Mona Lisa. The museum’s enchanting pyramid and the art treasures hidden within are a true paradise for art lovers. After our tour, we will visit a store to try tax-free, reasonably priced, and high-quality perfumes. While you will have the opportunity to shop, after free time for shopping and dinner on Champs-Élysées, we will head to our hotel and have free time to rest. 7. DAG Paris (Montmartre - Notre Dame Kathedraal - Luxemburgse Tuinen - Outlet) After breakfast, free time. Guests who wish may join our extra tour organized by our guide: Montmartre (Artists’ Hill), Notre Dame Cathedral, Luxembourg Gardens, Louvre district, and Outlet (90 €). Our first stop will be Montmartre (Artists’ Hill), the most artistic and bohemian district in the north of Paris. By bus, we will first see the Pigalle area, world-famous for its vibrant nightlife and colorful atmosphere, and home to the Moulin Rouge cabaret show. At the hill of artists, which we will reach by funicular, the Sacré-Cœur Basilica welcomes us. On the Artists’ Hill, which was once the center of religious life, the construction of the Sacré-Cœur Basilica began in 1875 to symbolize the spiritual renewal of France, but it was only opened for worship after World War I. After its spiritual transformation, Montmartre became an art center and hosted many famous artists such as Vincent van Gogh, Pablo Picasso, Salvador Dalí, and Émile Zola. You will enjoy wandering through its bohemian streets filled with art galleries and have free time for lunch. We continue our tour with Notre Dame Cathedral. In this park, where old-world romance meets modern Parisian life, you can enjoy a pleasant walk among ponds, flower beds, and statues. Then free time at McArthurGlen Paris-Giverny Designer Outlet. This modern outlet center, with its wide range of brands, offers attractive shopping opportunities for both locals and visitors. After exploring the cultural and historical fabric of Paris, you can take a break in this pleasant shopping area and find gifts for your loved ones and special pieces for yourself.
