• The duration of the tour is 3 nights and 4 days, including the movement and return day, with 3 nights of hotel accommodation. • In our tour, guidance, transportation, accommodation, and surrounding excursions are packaged together and cannot be considered separately. Unused rights for transportation, accommodation, guidance, excursions, etc. cannot be refunded. • The discounts applied for children in the tour packages are valid for a single child accompanying two adults. In hotel accommodations for children aged 0-6, a separate bed may not be provided. • In hotel accommodations, the third guest in triple rooms generally stays in an extra bed. • The hotels mentioned in the program are the preferred accommodation facilities of DGN Travel. Depending on the density in the area and hotels, changes may be made as long as the hotel standards remain the same. Hotel names will be communicated if requested 48 hours before the departure of the tour, based on availability. • The rooms at the hotels are determined by the hotel itself. No choice can be made between rooms. • Our rest stops may change in terms of location and service standards due to extraordinary circumstances such as density, renovation, etc., while still maintaining the same standards. • In the program's timing (either in the order of the sites to be visited during the day or between days), the guide may make changes if deemed necessary, based on weather conditions, road conditions, density at the visiting sites, etc. • DGN Travel is not responsible for locations that cannot be visited in the tour program due to extraordinary reasons (weather, road, density at visiting sites, etc.) or if guests do not comply with the timings given by our guide during the tour. In such cases, the guest does not have the right to claim damages. • In our tours with flights, changes may be made at regional airports as long as they do not affect the sightseeing points in the tour program. In such a case, DGN Travel will inform the guest with the flight tickets. If there is no deficiency in the program related to airport changes, the guest does not have the right to claim damages. • DGN Travel is not responsible for program disruptions caused by weather conditions or flight delays caused by the airline in our tours with flights. In such cases, the guest does not have the right to claim damages. • DGN Travel is not responsible for changes made by the airline regarding flight times. Any changes to the flight times will be communicated to the guest by DGN Travel. • In all our tours, a tiered pricing system is applied. The prices of the tour package may gradually increase as the number of reservations in the package increases and the date approaches. DGN Travel reserves the right to increase prices. In such cases, no price fixation can be made without a prepayment. • It is not possible to guarantee or provide specific seat numbers during reservation. There is no guarantee for the notes entered during reservation. Special seat selections such as front or back are not permitted. • The seating arrangement in the vehicle is organized by the DGN Travel operation based on the order of reservations. In cases of objections regarding seat placement, refunds are not possible. All seats in our vehicles have the same standards. • Extra tours, such as night tours included in the tour program, are subject to the number of participants and the existing staff conditions. Extra tours conducted along the way will still take place even if not all guests participate. Guests who do not participate in extra tours will be directed by our guide to rest areas or city centers. Guests who do not participate in extra tours have accepted to join the tour by agreeing to wait at the rest stop. • If an extra tour does not take place for any reason, the guest does not have the right to claim damages. DGN Travel is not responsible in this case. • Extra tour prices may vary according to the seasons. In such cases, the date of the tour departure is considered, not the date the guest purchased the tour. The extra tour price in effect during the period of the tour will be valid. The guest has accepted this by purchasing the tour. • DGN Travel is not responsible for any material damages caused by the guests in all services provided by transportation vehicles, hotels, dining areas, and suppliers. Businesses have the right to claim the material damages that occurred by the guest. • For children under 18 years who are not considered adults, if they are not traveling with one or both of their parents, a notarized consent form is required to be kept with them during the trip. • Guests participating in the tour must carry with them reports regarding health issues, pregnancy status, and medications they are continuously using. • Delays may occur due to traffic, accidents, etc. during the designated departure times. • The times indicated for arrival at the end of the tour are estimates, and DGN Travel is not responsible for delays caused by extraordinary circumstances. • Guests will be dropped off at opposite directions to the stops we have taken at the end of the tour. Please do not insist on the vehicle personnel to be dropped off at a different location. • According to traffic laws, all guests in the vehicle are required to wear seatbelts during their journey, and DGN Travel is not responsible for situations otherwise. • All personal belongings in the vehicle are the responsibility of the guest at rest stops, etc. • Since the first day’s tour will start before entering the hotel, please prepare the items you need to bring separately. • Due to the intensity of the program, it may not always be possible to find ATMs, currency exchange offices, etc., so it is advisable to be prepared. • The scheduled programs may involve long distances. Necessary information will be provided by the tour guide inside the vehicle. • Lunches consist of economically designed menus specific to the region. Tables will be arranged in groups for lunch and dinner depending on regional density. • The starting and ending routes of our tours are determined based on the regional density. Before the start of the tour, guests can learn about the confirmed starting and ending points by contacting us 2 days in advance if they wish. • If the tour does not reach the required number, the agency will inform the guest, and the guest can choose whether to postpone the tour to the next date or cancel it. Alternatively, ticketing can be done for the nearest departure point to facilitate participation in the tour. In this case, the agency is obliged to inform the guest three (3) days in advance via call, SMS, or email. In such a case, the guest does not have the right to claim damages. • Guests canceling or changing their reservation at least 30 days before the service's start date will receive a refund of the amount paid without providing a reason. For cancellations or changes made between 29 and 15 days before the tour date, 30% of the reservation fee will be deducted; for cancellations or changes made between 15-7 days, 50% of the reservation fee will be deducted; for cancellations or changes made 7 days or less before, 100% of the reservation fee will be deducted. • Guests who purchased a Cancellation, Refund, and Assurance Package can cancel the purchased package tour without providing a reason until 72 hours before the tour's start date. The Cancellation, Refund, and Assurance Package does not cover flight tickets. • Museum Cards and museum entrance fees are not included in the tour price. All museum entrance fees are to be paid by guests. **INFORMATION ABOUT BATUM** As per the agreement between Turkey and Georgia, Turkish citizens can cross into Batum with their identity card bearing their Turkish ID number. Other identification cards (driver's license, corporate identity cards, etc.) cannot be used for entry. Minors traveling alone without their parents (both mother and father) must have a notarized consent form for their entry into Batum. It is mandatory for all identity cards, including for infants and children, to have a photograph. The identity cards must not be worn out and should not be older than 10 years. As of September 1, 2020, entry into Batum with old identity cards is no longer permitted. Guests must carry their Turkish ID with them. The fee of 1250₺ for leaving the country must be paid by the guests. DGN Travel is not responsible for any issues arising at the Georgian border due to deformities in the identities. Foreign guests who have entered Turkey with a passport must hold a multiple-entry visa for their return after visiting Georgia. Moreover, the visa protocol of Georgia with respect to the countries of the passports or identity cards will apply for entry based on whether a visa is required or not. Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) citizens can enter Turkey using their TRNC identity cards, which enables them to enter Georgia with their Turkish identity cards. TRNC citizens who enter Turkey with a European Union passport must also hold a multiple-entry visa to return to Turkey.

Day 1
  • Trabzon – Maçka – Altındere National Park – Sümela Monastery – Hamsiköy Rice Pudding – Sürmene Tea Factory – Of – Çaykara – Uzungöl – Lustra and Karester Highlands - Rize

  • After our morning flight for the valued guests joining the Flight-Based Eastern Black Sea and Batumi Tour, we meet our guide at Trabzon Airport and transfer to our bus. We reach Maçka and stop for breakfast.

  • After breakfast, we begin our tour with Sümela Monastery. Passing through Maçka, whose old Greek name “Maçuka” means a place with abundant rain, we arrive at Sümela Monastery, located in Altındere Valley formed by the Coşan Stream. (Extra shuttle vehicles will be used to reach the monastery within the national park.) Rising about 300 meters above the valley, Sümela Monastery is a Greek Orthodox Monastery and Complex and is also one of the oldest churches in the history of Christianity. Known among the public as Meryem Ana, Sümela Monastery is believed to have taken its name from the word “melas,” meaning black. We visit the monastery, which has held a very important place in Christianity throughout history, accompanied by our guide’s explanations. After completing our visit, we meet our bus and head to the facility where we will taste the famous Hamsiköy rice pudding. After tasting our famous pudding, we visit the Tea Factory where we can sample the finest teas of the Black Sea region. Here we learn about the stages of tea production, take a factory tour, and then enjoy free time for tasting delicious teas and shopping.

  • Next, continuing along the Of-Çaykara-Taşkıran route through the Solaklı Stream and Valley, we arrive at Uzungöl, a dam lake formed when landslides blocked the valley. We take a short tour with our guide and then provide free time in Uzungöl. During free time, guests who wish may join the Lustra – Karester Highlands tour to view Uzungöl from above.

  • (Depending on weather conditions and regional crowd levels, the Lustra – Karester Highlands Tour will be given priority; if weather conditions do not allow it, the Haldizen Stream – Demirkapı Highlands tour will be offered as an alternative. One of the two tours will be conducted for the group.)

  • Lustra-Karester Highlands Tour (Extra): We board minibuses waiting for us in Uzungöl and reach Lustra Highlands at an altitude of 1900 meters, our first stop. After a photo break here, we continue up to 2300 meters and, after a short walk, arrive at Karester Highlands. In Karester Highlands, where we can view Uzungöl from above, we enjoy free time to take magnificent photos, drink tea, ayran, and milk, and taste Trabzon’s famous rice pudding. After free time ends, we return to Uzungöl by minibuses.

  • After our enjoyable highland tour, we meet our bus in Uzungöl and head to our hotel. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 2

  • Ayder Highlands – Gelintülü Waterfall – Huser Highlands – Fırtına Valley - Zilkale – Çat Valley - Batumi
  • On the 2nd day of the Black Sea Tour with DGN Travel, after breakfast at the hotel, we depart for Ayder Highlands. In Ayder, we see and photograph Gelintülü Waterfall, named for the way it flows down hundreds of meters like a white veil. Then we have free time in Ayder Highlands. During free time, you may take unforgettable photos with the magnificent view and enjoy your morning coffee. When free time ends, those who wish may join our Huser Highlands tour.

  • Huser Highlands Tour (Extra): (If weather conditions prevent the Huser Highlands Tour, an alternative extra tour to Kavron Highlands will be arranged.) With minibuses from Çamlıhemşin, we begin a fun tour full of magnificent scenery. If the weather is cloudy, you will be fascinated by the spectacular sea-of-fog view. If the weather is clear, you can admire Avusor, Kavron, Verçenik and Samistal Highlands, the summit of Kaçkar Mountains, and the Black Sea and Kaçkar Mountains. Our Huser Highlands Tour lasts 2.5–3.5 hours.

  • After our Huser Highlands tour, we pass through Çamlıhemşin, the charming district located at the start of Fırtına Valley, and give free time along the Fırtına Stream. Those who wish may join our extra Zilkale, Çat Valley tour.

  • Zilkale, Çat Valley Tour (Extra): We begin a fun and scenic journey by minibuses from Çamlıhemşin. We enter Çat Valley, one of the two valleys forming Fırtına Valley. Passing through Ortan Village, we arrive at Şenyuva Village, formerly known as Çinçiva, where scenes from the TV series Sevdaluk and many other productions were filmed. Here we take a short photo break on Şenyuva Bridge. Then, passing among the historic mansions of Fırtına and through the wild nature of Çat Valley, we head to Zilkale. Its eagle-nest-like appearance will captivate you. When we reach the castle, located 750 meters above sea level and 100 meters above Çat Stream, we learn from our guide and then enjoy free time. During this time, you may explore the castle and take magnificent photos accompanied by the enchanting green scenery. After free time at Zilkale, we return to Çamlıhemşin by minibuses.

  • After our Zilkale tour, we board our bus and arrive at our facility in Fırtına Valley. During the free time here, you can taste regional delicacies such as muhlama, laz böreği, and trout, and join adrenaline-filled activities.

  • Rafting on Fırtına Stream (Extra): A thrilling activity for adrenaline lovers, rafting becomes even more enjoyable on the Fırtına Stream. During the approximately 1.5-hour activity, you can have fun and immortalize the excitement with photos taken.

  • Zipline on Fırtına Stream (Extra): You can enjoy a fun activity by crossing from one side of Fırtına Stream to the other and back again on steel cables stretched over the stream.

  • Giant Swing (Extra): You can experience an adrenaline-filled swing adventure, pulled by motors and launched about 5 meters high over Fırtına Stream, reinforced with steel cables.

  • After our activities in Fırtına Valley, we head to our hotel in Hopa. Following dinner at the hotel, guests who wish may board our bus for our Batumi Tour, famous for its night illuminations, and proceed to the Sarp Border Gate. After completing customs procedures, we check in at our hotel in Batumi.

  • On the 3rd day of the DGN Travel Flight-Based Eastern Black Sea and Batumi Tour, after breakfast at the hotel, we board our bus and first see the Orta Mosque, built in 1886, the only remaining Ottoman-era structure, where we can also admire the magnificent door decorations made by Laz masters. Then, seeing St. Nicholas Church, which stands out with its architecture, we arrive at Piazza Square. Piazza Square, one of Batumi’s must-see places, resembles a small Italian town with its interesting architectural structures. After our photo break here, we continue on foot toward Europe Square. Along the way, we see the Astronomical Clock Tower, similar to those in Prague and Venice, and the Armenian Apostolic Church before entering Europe Square. In Europe Square, we see the Medea Statue, reflecting the mythological face of the Caucasus, and after receiving information from our guide, we see the Theatre Building. Then we see Poseidon, the Sea God from Greek mythology, and the clock tower known as Chacha Tower, a replica of the Izmir Clock Tower. Afterwards, we reach Batumi Port and see the Ali and Nino Statue, whose love story inspired films, while hearing its story from our guide. Then we see the Alphabet Tower, 130 meters high, symbolizing the Georgian alphabet and the freedom of the Georgian people, and we are given free time at Batumi Boulevard. On our way to Sarp Border Gate, we will see buildings constructed in Soviet architectural style and newly built Batumi panoramically, as well as the Chorokh River, which originates in Erzurum and reaches the Batumi border, and the old Chorokh Bridge on it. We then arrive at Sarp Border Gate, having also seen Gonio (Apsaros) Castle, a Roman-era castle later used during the Ottoman period, panoramically, where the tomb of St. Matthias, one of Jesus Christ’s 12 apostles, is also located.

  • When entering Turkey, you may shop at Duty Free for a time period determined by our guide. After completing exit procedures, we have lunch in Hopa. Following our meal, we depart for Borçka for the Karagöl Tour. Guests who wish may join our extra Karagöl Tour.

  • Borçka Karagöl Tour (Extra): With the minibuses we board in Borçka, we reach Karagöl after about a 1-hour journey through trees that create a tunnel-like feeling. Formed in the 1800s when a landslide from a hill near today’s Klaskur Highlands blocked the Klaskur Stream, Karagöl will captivate you with its magnificent nature and abundant oxygen. At Karagöl, which preserves its natural state with rich vegetation, you will experience moments where you wish time would stand still. After about 1 hour of free time, we board our minibuses again and return to Borçka. Then we board our bus and head to our hotel. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 4

  • Rize – Rize Cloth Workshop – Haremtepe Çeçeva Tea Gardens - Knife Workshop – Atatürk Mansion – Akçaabat – Local Delicacies – Hagia Sophia – Filigree and Kazaziye Workshop
  • On the 4th day of the DGN Travel Flight-Based Eastern Black Sea and Batumi Tour, after breakfast at the hotel, we visit the Rize Cloth Weaving Workshop to shop for one of our country’s famous fabrics, Rize cloth, and receive information about yarn and weaving before giving free time for shopping. The most important feature of Rize cloth is that it absorbs sweat from the body, keeping the body cool and dry, thus having an air-conditioning effect. After our shopping break for Rize cloth, guests who wish may board the minibuses waiting for us and join our Haremtepe Çeçeva Tea Gardens tour.

  • Haremtepe Çeçeva Tea Gardens Tour (Extra): In Çeçeva Village, you can take beautiful photos among endless tea fields wearing local clothing, with tea scissors and tea baskets.

  • After our Çeçeva tour, we head to the knife workshop to learn about and shop for the handmade Sürmene knives, which hold an important place in local culture. Here we learn about handcrafted knives passed down from past to present and complete our shopping. After shopping, we move on to Atatürk Mansion.

  • The Atatürk Mansion, which the Great Leader Mustafa Kemal Atatürk visited twice in 1924 and 1930 and stayed in during 1937, where he also wrote part of his testament, will captivate you with its architecture and garden. We visit Atatürk Mansion with our guide’s explanations. Then we head to our restaurant where we will have lunch with the famous Akçaabat meatballs. After lunch, we move to the Local Products Store to shop for regional products such as butter, cheese, and honey produced in the area. After the tasting and shopping time at the store, we head to Trabzon Hagia Sophia.

  • Trabzon Hagia Sophia is a structure that was built as a church between 1250 and 1260 by King Manuel I, who founded the Empire of Trebizond in 1204, and was converted into a mosque in 1584 by order of Sultan Murad III. After our guide’s explanations here, we proceed to our workshop where we will learn about the art of filigree and kazaziye, traditions dating back to the Ottoman period. At the Filigree and Kazaziye Workshop, which combines the finest metal, silver, with a unique design and handcrafted artistry, we are given free time. After our shopping, we board our bus and head to the airport. After completing our baggage procedures, our DGN Travel Flight-Based Eastern Black Sea and Batumi Tour comes to an end, and we bid farewell until we meet again on another DGN Travel organization.
