Throughout history, Sümela Monastery has held great significance for Christianity, and we explore it with the guidance of our tour leader. After completing our visits here, we proceed to the facility where we will taste the famous Hamsiköy rice pudding. After enjoying our rice puddings, our next stop will be the Trabzon Ayasofya.
- Trabzon Ayasofya, built as a church by King I. Manuel, who established the Trabzon Empire in 1204, between the years 1250 – 1260, was converted into a mosque in 1584 by Sultan 3. Murad. After our guide's explanations here, we move to the workshop where we will get to know the famous traditional arts of telkari and kazaziye from the Ottoman period.
