Meet at the Turkish Airlines check-in counter in the international departures terminal of Istanbul Airport 3 hours before the flight time. After luggage, ticket, and passport procedures, we depart for Zurich on Turkish Airlines flight TK1913 at 12:45. After arriving at 13:40 local time, our city tour of Zurich begins with our vehicle waiting at the airport.
Zurich, Switzerland's largest city, is also its cultural and economic capital. Located on the shores of Lake Zurich and at the foot of the Alps, the city hosts millions of tourists year-round with its historical background and culture. The name of the city comes from Turus, dating back to the Neolithic and Bronze Ages. During the Roman occupation in the 2nd century A.D., it was given the name "Turicum," which is pronounced as "Zurich" in Swiss German. According to the latest data, Zurich is called the most livable city in Europe and is also referred to as Switzerland's cultural capital.
Our city tour includes the twin towers of Grossmünster Monastery, the Fraumünster Church known for its stained glass from the 19th century, the shopping street Bahnhofstrasse adorned with famous Swiss brands, the Limmat River that flows through the city into Lake Zurich, and the elegant bridges connecting the two banks of the river, and St. Peterskirche, which has the largest clock in Europe. Afterward, guests can participate in an extra *Zurich Lake Boat* tour (40 Euro). After the tour, we transfer to our hotel and have free time. Overnight at our hotel.
Day 2 ZURICH
After breakfast at the hotel, there is free time. Those who wish can join the tour of Grindelwald Village & Lucerne organized by our guide (130 Euro). We start our journey to Grindelwald, known as Europe's peak point and adventure center. In the winter months, it hosts the most important and popular ski resorts in the country, while in the summer it welcomes tens of thousands of tourists with approximately 300 km of trekking and sports trails. In this village, which is considered a peak point in Europe, we take the cable car to reach the First Summit and see this unique view of the Alps and Swiss nature. (Note: The cost of the cable car is not included; it will be collected at the time of the tour, depending on availability, and is 60 CHF per person. Prices may vary according to the season.) We will have free time at the peak. Then, we move to Lucerne, a charming city where we will see the Lion Monument dedicated to the 800 Swiss soldiers who were martyred while protecting King Louis XVI and his family, Chapel Bridge, and the magnificent view of Lake Lucerne before returning to our hotel. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 3 ZURICH- BERN-GENEVA
After breakfast at the hotel, we set off for Geneva. On the way, we will stop at Bern, the capital city of Switzerland and its fourth largest city, where we will admire Switzerland's unique nature once again. The meaning of Bern in German is '"bear"'. During our capital tour, we will witness examples of early urbanization that started in the medieval period. Points we will visit include Bern Altstadt (the old town of Bern), Bundesplatz square, Münsterplatz square, the Aare River, the Bern Prison Tower, the Zytglogge clock tower, the History Museum, the Parliament building, the Bern Cathedral, various Bern fountains, and Bern's own covered markets that are often seen in our own country. Our last stop will be Einstein's house (Photo break). We will complete our tour here and proceed to Geneva, which is the European center of the United Nations, where we will begin our Geneva City Tour. Our city tour, part of which will be on foot, will include Mont Blanc Bridge, Jean Jacques Rousseau Island, the Flower Clock, the Great Cathedral, the Peace Park, and the United Nations Building. After the tour, we transfer to our hotel and overnight stay.
Day 4 GENEVA
After breakfast at the hotel, those who wish can join our tour of Ouchy & Lausanne & Montreux & Chillon Castle combo (90 Euro). We will head to the city of Lausanne, known from the treaty that forms the international legal basis of our republic. During our city tour, we will see the Ushi Castle, where the Ushi Treaty was signed, the Bourivage Hotel, where the Lausanne Treaty was signed, the Olympic Museum, Notre-Dame Cathedral, Palais de Rumine, Musée Cantonal des Beaux-Arts, Place de la Louve, and Lausanne History Museum, along with the Sauvabelin Tower. After our tour, we will have a brief free time. After the free time, our next destination to explore the region's texture and the Port area is Ouchy district. After a short break here, we will move on to Montreux, where the Montreux Treaty was also signed. This small vacation town boasts a noble and bourgeois residential profile on the shores of Lake Geneva. We will also be able to see the building where the Montreux Treaty was signed. After the Montreux tour, we will visit the most visited structure in Switzerland, Chillon Castle (from the outside), located very close to where we are. This castle, situated in the midst of the intersection of Lake Geneva and the Alps, presents us with a stunning nature spectacle. After our tour, we transfer to our hotel in Annemasse.
