DAY 1: ISTANBUL - SARAJEVO
After our ticketing, baggage, and boarding procedures at the International Departures Terminal of Istanbul Airport, we depart for Sarajevo on a Turkish Airlines flight. After a flight lasting approximately 1.5 hours, we arrive in Sarajevo local time. After passport control, we begin our city tour with our private vehicles waiting for us. With our vehicle, we come in front of the central library building (Vyeçnitsa), one of the city’s landmark structures, and continue our tour on foot. We see the central library, Inat Kuça, whose story will surprise you when you hear it, the Latin Bridge built during the Ottoman period, and the point where the assassination of Austrian-Hungarian Archduke Franz Ferdinand and his wife took place, which led to the outbreak of World War I. Our tour continues with the sebil, a tradition in the Ottoman Empire, and Sebil Square, named after this structure, and proceeds through the streets of Baščaršija, which have preserved their historical character. Among the other works we will see are the Kurşunlu Madrasa, Moriç and Kolubara Inns, Gazi Husrev Bey Mosque, and the Clock Tower (the only clock in the world with a muvakkithane, showing the time according to the Islamic calendar). Then we proceed to Ferhadiye, the city’s most popular street, and our tour continues with buildings reflecting the architecture of the Austro-Hungarian Empire period, the Catholic Cathedral, Markale Market, and the covered market place (the market where Bosnian kaymak, dried meat, sausages, and Travnik cheese are sold), ending at the “Eternal Flame” Monument built in memory of the victims of World War II. Free time after our tour. Overnight at our hotel.
DAY 2: SARAJEVO

Extra Tour: Including Lunch, Mostar - Počitelj Tour : 60 Euro
Guests who wish may join the full-day Mostar-Počitelj extra tour organized by our guides. On this tour, we depart from our hotel by private bus and head toward Mostar. Upon our arrival in Mostar, the most important structure we will see on the panoramic city tour will be the city’s landmark, Mostar Bridge. Spanning the Neretva River, which runs through the heart of the city, the Mostar Bridge, built in 1566 by Mimar Hayrettin, one of Mimar Sinan’s students, with 456 stone blocks, is under UNESCO protection and is the only bridge in the world with unique architectural features, making it an Ottoman masterpiece so significant that it gave the city its name. The bridge was destroyed in November 1993 as a result of days of shelling by Croatian artillery. Rebuilt in 2004 by a Turkish company, with the support of the Republic of Turkey, especially the World Bank, using the original stones recovered from the river and built by Turkish craftsmen, the bridge was reopened in 2004. Walking through the old city of Mostar, among narrow cobblestone streets, passing works that preserve the authentic architecture of the period, mosques, baths, shops, and buildings decorated with slate-stone roofs, we will arrive at the Koski Mehmed Pasha Mosque, another important structure we will see, and it is also one of the best spots to take photos of the bridge. After lunch, free time for shopping and personal exploration until the meeting time announced by our guide. At the announced time, gather and depart for Počitelj, the second stop of our trip. Počitelj, the Ottoman village listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, came under Ottoman rule in 1471 and maintained its strategic importance until 1878, when it was lost. You can take very beautiful photos in the village, one of the finest examples of Ottoman architecture. After the tea and coffee break here, we set off back to Sarajevo.
