Tour Program
Salda Lake – Laodicea Ancient City – Hierapolis Ancient City – Pamukkale Travertines - Denizli - Çeşme – Çeşme Castle – Caravanserai - Alaçatı – Ilıca – Swimming Break – Istanbul
1.Day Night Journey 22:40 Mutlukent Sultan Pastry Shop Front 22:50 Gebze Center Front After picking up our valued guests from the designated points, we begin our night journey with DGN Travel for the Salda Lake Pamukkale Çeşme Alaçatı Tour. 2.Day Salda Lake – Laodikya Ancient City – Hierapolis Ancient City – Pamukkale Travertines - Denizli After our night journey, following an optional breakfast break at a rest stop in the morning during the DGN Travel Salda Lake Pamukkale Çeşme Alaçatı Tour, we arrive at our first stop, Salda Lake, the 3rd deepest lake in Turkey. Known as the Maldives of Turkey and referred to as “If you’re curious about Mars, go to Salda,” Salda Lake, which has rock formations similar to Mars, will truly fascinate us. With its white sands and turquoise water, Salda Lake will captivate us, and we will have free time until the time determined by our guide so we can take unique photos and fully enjoy the atmosphere. During this free time, guests who wish may take photos to immortalize this beautiful setting, while those who wish may also swim in Salda Lake. At the end of our free time, we board our bus and head to Pamukkale. Our first visit point in Pamukkale will be Laodikya Ancient City. In the ancient city, which was founded in the middle of the 3rd century BC by Seleucid King Antiochus II on behalf of his wife Laodice, we tour the permitted areas as excavations are still ongoing. After our visit, we head to the restaurant where we will have lunch. Following lunch, we continue to Hierapolis Ancient City, which is listed on the UNESCO World Cultural and Natural Heritage List. Hierapolis Ancient City was built right next to the travertines by the Kingdom of Pergamon, unable to resist the beauty and allure of the Pamukkale Travertines 2,000 years ago. We begin our Hierapolis Ancient City tour with the Necropolis, one of Anatolia’s largest, and the Bath Building outside the city walls. Then, as we walk along the main street, Domitian Gate, and the Latin Building, we take photos. Afterward, we go up to the Ancient Theatre of Hierapolis, one of the best-preserved ancient theatres in Anatolia, where we receive information from our guide. The Ancient Theatre of Hierapolis will also enchant us with its magnificent view of the ancient city and Denizli. After taking our photos, we listen to and visit the Temple of Apollo and the Plutonium, known as the gateway to Hell, also called the “Chasm of the Demons,” from our guide. Then, after a walk along the Columned Street, we reach Pamukkale Travertines, which, with their pure white texture, had impressed the Kingdom of Pergamon 2,000 years ago just as they impress us today, and which have no similar example in the world except for the town of Travertino in Italy. While walking on the terrace where walking is permitted, the photos we take with the view overlooking the Denizli Plain will remain as unforgettable memories. After completing our time here, we take a short shopping break at Denizli’s famous textile workshops. Following this shopping break, we head to our hotel at the end of our tour. Dinner and overnight stay at our hotel. Breakfast: Will be taken at the rest stop along the route. (Extra) Lunch: Will be taken as a menu in Pamukkale. (Extra) Dinner: Will be served at the hotel. Included in the tour fee. Accommodation: Anemon Hotel Denizli, Marlen Hotel Denizli, Çimenoğlu Hotel Denizli 3.Day Çeşme – Çeşme Castle – Caravanserai - Alaçatı – Ilıca – Swimming Break – Istanbul On the final day of the DGN Travel Salda Lake Pamukkale Çeşme Alaçatı Tour, after breakfast at our hotel, we board our bus and head to Çeşme, Izmir. Our first stop in Çeşme is Çeşme Castle, one of the most important castles in Western Anatolia, where we can see both Ceneviz and Ottoman architectural styles together. After receiving information from our guide about Çeşme Castle, we begin exploring the castle. After completing our castle visit, we view the Caravanserai, built by Sultan Suleiman the Magnificent in 1528, panoramically. Then we have free time in Çeşme. During this free time, we recommend tasting the local ice cream unique to Çeşme. After our free time, we board our bus and head to our next stop, Alaçatı. With its narrow streets paved with cobblestones and colorful streets combining Greek and Ottoman architecture, Alaçatı will truly amaze us. After a brief introduction from our guide about Alaçatı, before we start walking through its streets, we take a lunch break to enjoy the famous kumru sandwich. After lunch, we give free time until the hour determined by our guide. During this free time, you can make the tour unforgettable by taking colorful photos in front of the Historic Stone Houses in Alaçatı’s streets. At the end of the free time, to relieve our pleasant tiredness, we move on to Ilıca Beach. As one of the most important Blue Flag beaches in our country, Ilıca Beach is one of the rare places in the world with its deep blue sea and hot spring waters of Ilıca. Here we have a swimming break of about 1 to 1.5 hours. Guests who do not wish to swim may walk along the beach or sip coffee at the cafes overlooking the magnificent sea view. After our time at Ilıca Beach ends, our DGN Travel Salda Lake Pamukkale Çeşme Alaçatı Tour comes to an end and we begin our return journey. We say goodbye by dropping our valued guests off at the points where we picked them up, hoping to meet again on another DGN Travel event. Breakfast: Will be taken at the hotel. Included in the tour fee. Lunch: Will be taken as a menu in Alaçatı. (Extra) Dinner: Will be taken at the rest stop along the route. (Extra) Accommodation: There is no hotel accommodation tonight.
