Need to Know
GENERAL TERMS 1- General Terms are an integral part of the tour program and cannot be considered separately from it. 2- If sufficient participation is not achieved for the tour, Wtatil may cancel the tour up to 21 days before the departure date. In such a case, the cancellation information will be communicated to the guest. The full tour fee will be refunded to the guest. For additional services purchased outside the tour, the refund of the domestic connection flight purchased from Wtatil will also be made to the guest. If visa services and travel health insurance have been used by applying for a visa on behalf of the guest, these services cannot be refunded as they have been used; if the visa application has not been made, the visa and travel health insurance will also be cancelled and refunded. If the guest purchased the domestic connection flight from a provider independent of Wtatil, in the event that the trip is cancelled by Wtatil, the guest cannot claim any refund from Wtatil. The guest accepts in advance, upon purchasing the tour, any financial and moral losses that may arise due to the cancellation of the tour, and Wtatil cannot be held responsible. 3- If sufficient participation is not achieved for the tour, Wtatil reserves the right, as a gesture of goodwill, not to cancel the tour. In this case, since the tour will be provided individually for the guest, the guided service included in the package will only cover the round-trip airport transfer abroad. Cancellation and Changes 4- Our guests have the right to cancel free of charge, provided that they notify Wtatil in writing up to 30 days before the tour departure date, excluding airline tickets for which payment has been made and/or commitments have been made by Wtatil to the airline company. If there are 31 days or less until the start date of the trip, cancellation can be made by paying a penalty of 50% of the tour fee remaining after the airline ticket price is deducted; if there are 15 days or less until the start date of the trip, cancellation can be made by paying the full tour fee as a penalty. If a cancellation is requested, since the cancellation/refund conditions of additional services such as domestic connection flights, visa services, and travel health insurance may vary depending on the cancellation request period, prior information should be obtained regarding their refund status. Wtatil cannot make any commitment regarding the cancellation refund of additional services. Guiding Services and Optional Tours 5- The days and times of the tours specified in the program may be changed by the guide depending on the opening/closing status of museums and historical sites at the destinations and weather conditions. Different guides may accompany our guests during the tours. 6- The panoramic city tours included in the tour package are tours organized for the general introduction of the cities, lasting at most 2-3 hours, conducted from within the vehicle with guide commentary and not including entrance fees to museums or historical sites. Panoramic tours, including other tours specified in the program, are not the responsibility of Wtatil if they cannot be carried out on the day and time scheduled due to restrictions by local authorities on visiting or entering the area, or due to closed roads because of any event, or if weather conditions make the tour impossible. Some tours may be conducted by public transportation or on foot where possible in areas with closed roads or where vehicle entry is not permitted. 7- Our guide may change the days of the city tour and/or additional tours depending on the content of our tours, the number of participants, and the closing status of museums and historical sites. This also applies to changes that may occur in flight times. 8- For our tours conducted by speed boat, the matters to be considered are: not eating a heavy meal and not drinking excessive amounts of water immediately before boarding the boat. Guests with stomach, back, or neck complaints, as well as pregnant guests, must inform their guides of their condition. 9- If participation is not made in the tour or meal service included in the services stated in the prices, there is no refund. About Flights 10- Wtatil is an intermediary between the airline and the passenger, and in possible disputes, the relevant provisions of Turkish legislation as well as the Hague Protocol and the Warsaw Convention shall apply. 11- Delays or changes in flight times may occur on scheduled and charter flights. Wtatil is obliged to notify these changes as soon as possible. The passenger has purchased the trip accepting the risk of changes/cancellation of flight times. 12- Children aged 0-2 only pay the airport tax fee. 13- In accordance with airline rules, if the outbound flight of round-trip tickets is not used, the return flight will be cancelled by the airline. 14- For those participating in flight-inclusive tours, check-in and boarding procedures are personal responsibilities and must be completed by the guest before the flight, at the airport, from the relevant airline counters, or online on the airline company’s website. 15- Last-minute delays and gate changes that may occur in flights are announced verbally at airports and shown on information boards in the area. Guests must follow this information themselves. 16- If guests do not arrive at the specified airport at the times announced in accordance with airline rules, do not complete check-in and boarding procedures on time, or complete check-in and boarding procedures on time but do not board the plane, Wtatil is not responsible for their inability to take the flight. The costs of obtaining new round-trip tickets and transfers to the destination region, etc., required for missed flights to join the tour, shall be borne by the guests. 17- The standard baggage allowance for flights departing from Turkey is generally 20 kg. This may vary depending on the airline and the destination country. If there are domestic flights in the destination country, baggage allowance on these domestic flights may decrease to 15 kg. Excess baggage weight/price rules are determined by the airlines and are not the responsibility of Wtatil. 18- Guests wishing to upgrade their flight tickets using miles (to business or first class) may do so after the tickets are issued, subject to the availability of the airline concerned (please check the airline of your membership). Mileage is not guaranteed for every flight. Please check whether the program tickets are in an upgradeable class. 19- On some airlines, food, beverages, and online check-in services may be subject to additional charges. Other Matters 20- Wtatil will not accept responsibility for any changes or cancellations made by the guest by contacting the hotel directly. In such cases, Wtatil’s cancellation conditions shall apply. 21- In cases where hotel names are not specified in the tour program and only category information is given and/or alternatives are offered for the same destination, the guest will be informed by Wtatil 48 hours before departure. 22- During special periods such as fairs, congresses, concerts, events, sports tournaments, etc., hotels may be used at distances greater than those stated from the specified locations or km distances. In such a case, information will be provided by Wtatil 15 days before the departure date of the tour. 23- At the time of booking the purchased tour, the guest must correctly enter/declare the name as it appears on the passport, date of birth, and passport number into the system. Airline tickets are issued based on this information. The penalty fees for ticket cancellation or changes resulting from incorrect information will be charged to the guests. 24- To use your mobile phone abroad, please check with your mobile provider in Turkey before departure to ensure that your line is enabled for international use. 25- Hotel check-in time is 15:00 and check-out time is 12:00. 26- Wtatil will notify the hotel of room-related requests (high floor, close to common areas, smoking/non-smoking, bed type). Every effort is made to ensure that the allocated rooms match the guest’s preferences according to the hotel’s availability. Fulfillment of these requests depends on availability at check-in and cannot be guaranteed by Wtatil. 27- Breakfast served in hotels differs from the rich breakfast commonly known in Turkish cuisine. It is generally served as a continental breakfast, consisting of limited options such as butter, jam, bread, tea, or coffee, and for groups it may be served in a separate room allocated to the group. 28- In some cases, a double bed may be provided instead of twin beds. Most European hotels offer twin rooms that can be joined together if necessary. 29- Child and extra bed policies may vary according to each hotel and room type. 30- Any additional bed or baby cot is provided upon request and subject to the hotel’s availability and must be approved by the hotel. 31- The capacity for an extra bed or baby cot in the room is 1 at most. 32- In triple rooms, an extra bed is used; in such rooms, the bed assigned to the third person is smaller than standard beds. Triple rooms consist of 1 large bed + 1 extra bed. Extra beds are of the foldable/couch bed type. Our guests are deemed to have accepted the cramped conditions in the room and the bed type that may arise due to the extra bed added to standard rooms in triple and/or child-inclusive reservations. 33- If the number of children staying with adults and the ages of the children stated in hotel reservations are incorrectly declared by the guests, the relevant hotels may charge an additional fee. In such a case, responsibility lies with the guest who made the incorrect declaration. The hotel may request identification to verify the age of children. 34- In reservations of 2 adults + 1 child, there may not be a separate bed for the child. Child rates are valid only if the child stays with two adults. Child discounts apply only to the “single child” age group staying with 2 adults. 35- Daily exchange rate changes are reflected in TL prices. The exchange rates valid at the time of payment apply. Additional requests and some extra services you may receive at the hotel (mini bar, ironing, etc.) are subject to extra charges by the hotel. These expenses are not included in the purchase price and must be paid directly to the hotel during your stay. 36- Some countries have different practices regarding city, tourism, or local taxes. Any such city, tourism, or other taxes in effect are collected by the hotel from the guest at check-in or check-out. 37- The road distances given in the programs are based on maps. Travel times may be extended due to traffic, weather conditions, the geographical location of the destination country, roadworks, and road conditions. 38- In compulsory or necessary situations, Wtatil may change the order of the cities in the program and the main airline to be used, without altering the content of the program. 39- The personal belongings, bags, suitcases, passports/IDs of the participants in the tour are under their own responsibility, and Wtatil is not responsible for items forgotten/lost/stolen. If forgotten items are found, the costs incurred in delivering them to the country and/or person shall be borne by the owner of the item. 40- Participants in the tour are required to carry their travel health insurance policies and, if they have any health problems, the relevant medications and reports with them. 41- For possible extra expenses, at hotel check-in, a photo ID/passport issued by official institutions and a credit card or cash deposit may be requested by the hotel. The refund of the deposit requested at check-out is a matter between the hotel and the guest, and Wtatil has no involvement. Visa and Passport 42- There is no visa requirement for Turkish citizens. 43- Our guests’ passports must be valid for at least 6 months from the end date of travel. 44- In order for entry/exit stamps to be placed in your passport at customs crossings/border gates, your passport must have at least 2 blank pages. 45- Being visa-exempt for entry into the countries in this tour does not mean that entry into or exit from the country is guaranteed; passport police have the authority to refuse your entry/exit, and Wtatil is not responsible for this situation; responsibility lies with the passenger. 46- Guests who are not Turkish citizens or who hold dual citizenship and will participate in the tour using their other country’s passport must personally consult the relevant consulates regarding the visa procedures applied by the destination country to the passport they will use; otherwise, Wtatil will not be responsible for any consequences arising. 47- In order to avoid problems with customs police at border crossings of the countries to be visited due to torn, worn, wet, and/or similarly damaged passports, passports must be renewed. Otherwise, responsibility lies with the passenger. 48- Since there is a possibility that police officers at entry/exit may request a document showing mutual consent from the parents when our guests under 18 travel alone or with only one of their parents, we recommend that our guests under 18 and their parents pay attention to this matter.
