GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS

1- These General Terms and Conditions are an integral part of the tour program and cannot be considered independently of the tour program.

2- If sufficient participation is not achieved for the trip, DGNTRAVEL may cancel the tour up to 21 days before the tour departure date. In such a case, the cancellation information will be communicated to the guest. The full tour price will be refunded to the guest. Regarding refunds for additional services purchased outside the tour; domestic connecting flights purchased from DGNTRAVEL will also be refunded to the guest. If a visa application has been submitted on behalf of the guest using the visa service and travel health insurance, these services cannot be refunded as they will have been used. If no visa application has been submitted, the visa and travel health insurance will also be cancelled and the fee will be refunded. If the guest purchased their domestic connecting flight from a different service provider independently of DGNTRAVEL, they cannot request any refund from DGNTRAVEL if the trip is cancelled by DGNTRAVEL. The guest accepts in advance, upon purchasing the tour, any financial and non-financial losses that may arise due to the cancellation of the tour, and DGNTRAVEL cannot be held responsible.

3- If sufficient participation is not achieved for the trip, DGNTRAVEL has the right, in good faith, not to cancel the tour. In this case, since the tour will be provided individually for the guest, the guiding service included in the package will cover only the outbound and return airport transfers abroad.

Cancellation and Changes

4- Our guests have the right to cancel without penalty, provided that they notify DGNTRAVEL in writing up to 30 days before the tour departure date, excluding airline tickets that have been paid for and/or committed to the airline by DGNTRAVEL. If fewer than 31 days remain until the trip start date, the guest may cancel by paying a penalty equal to 50% of the remaining tour fee after deducting the airfare. If 15 days or fewer remain until the trip start date, cancellation may be made by paying the full tour fee as a penalty. If cancellation is requested, prior information must be obtained regarding refunds for additional services such as domestic connecting flights, visa services and travel health insurance, as their cancellation and refund conditions may vary depending on the period in which cancellation is requested. DGNTRAVEL cannot provide any guarantee regarding the cancellation and refund of additional services.

Guiding Services and Optional Tours

5- The days and times of the tours specified in the program may be changed by the guide depending on whether the museums and historical sites at the destinations are open or closed and on weather conditions. Different guides may accompany our guests during the tours.

6- The panoramic city tours included in the tour package are tours lasting no more than 2–3 hours, organized for the general introduction of the cities and conducted panoramically with explanations by the guide from inside the vehicle; they do not include entrance to museums or historical sites. DGNTRAVEL is not responsible if panoramic tours, including the other tours specified in the program, cannot take place because local authorities do not permit visits to or entry into the relevant places on the day and at the time corresponding to the tour, because roads are closed due to any event, or when weather conditions make it impossible to conduct the tour. Some tours may be conducted by public transportation or on foot, where possible, in areas with closed roads or where vehicle access is not permitted.

7- Our guide may change the days of city tours and/or additional tours, while adhering to the content of our tours, depending on the number of participants and whether museums and historical sites are closed. This also applies in the event of changes to flight times.

8- Points to be considered on our tours conducted by speedboats: heavy meals should not be eaten and excessive amounts of water should not be consumed immediately before boarding the boat. Guests with stomach, back or neck complaints, as well as pregnant guests, must inform their guides of their condition.

9- If guests do not participate in the tours or meal services specified in the services included in the prices, no refund will be made.

About Flights

10- DGNTRAVEL is an intermediary between the airline and the passenger; in the event of possible disputes, the relevant provisions of Turkish legislation, as well as the Hague Protocol and the Warsaw Convention, shall apply.

11- Scheduled and charter flights may be delayed or their flight times may change. DGNTRAVEL is obliged to notify guests of these changes as soon as possible. The passenger purchased the trip by accepting the risk of a change or cancellation of the flight time.

12- Children between 0 and 2 years of age pay only the airport tax.

13- In accordance with airline rules, if the outbound flight of round-trip tickets is not used, the return flight is cancelled by the airline.

14- For persons participating in tours involving flights, check-in and boarding procedures are personal procedures, and guests are required to complete these procedures before the flight at the airport, at the relevant airline counters, or online through the airline’s websites.

15- Last-minute delays and gate changes that may occur on flights are announced audibly at airports and displayed on the information boards in the terminal. Guests must personally monitor this information.

16- DGNTRAVEL is not responsible if guests who are not present at the specified airport at the times notified in accordance with airline rules, who do not complete check-in and boarding procedures on time, or who complete check-in and boarding procedures on time but do not board the aircraft are unable to take the flight. Guests who miss the flight are responsible for all costs related to obtaining the necessary new round-trip flight tickets and transfers in the destination region, etc., required for them to join the tour.

17- In general, the baggage allowance for flights departing from Turkey is 20 kg. This allowance may vary depending on the airline and the destination country. If there are domestic flights in the destination country, the baggage allowance on these domestic flights may decrease to 15 kg. Excess baggage weight and pricing rules are determined by the airlines and are not the responsibility of DGNTRAVEL.

18- For our guests who wish to upgrade their airline tickets using miles (to business or first class); the upgrade may be carried out after the tickets have been issued, subject to the availability of the airline (please check the airline with which you hold membership). Miles are not guaranteed for every flight. Please check whether the program’s tickets belong to an upgrade-eligible class.

19- For some airlines, catering and online check-in services may be subject to an additional fee.

Other Matters

20- DGNTRAVEL shall not accept responsibility for any change or cancellation made by the guest by contacting the hotel directly. In such cases, DGNTRAVEL’s cancellation conditions shall apply.

21- In cases where only category information is provided in the tour program without specifying hotel name(s) and/or options are offered for the same destination, DGNTRAVEL will inform the guest 48 hours before the trip departure.

22- During special periods such as fairs, congresses, concerts, events and sports tournaments, hotels may be used at distances greater than the specified locations or kilometers. In such cases, DGNTRAVEL will provide information 15 days before the tour departure date.

23- At the time of registration for the purchased tour, the guest must correctly enter/provide the name as shown in the passport, date of birth and passport number in the system. Airline tickets are issued according to this information. Penalties for cancellation or changes to airline tickets resulting from incorrect information will be charged to the guests.

24- To use your mobile phones abroad, check with your service provider before leaving Turkey to ensure that your phone is enabled for international use.

25- For accommodation, hotel check-in time is 15:00 and check-out time is 12:00.

26- DGNTRAVEL communicates room requests, such as a high floor, proximity to common areas, smoking/non-smoking and bed type, to the hotel. Efforts are made to ensure that the reserved rooms meet the guest’s preferences, subject to hotel availability. Fulfillment of these requests depends on availability at check-in and cannot be guaranteed by DGNTRAVEL.

27- The breakfast served at hotels differs from the rich breakfast customary in Turkish cuisine. It is generally served as a continental breakfast consisting of limited options such as butter, jam, bread, tea or coffee, and may be served in a separate room allocated to the group.

28- In some cases, there may be a double bed instead of a twin-bedded room. Most European hotels offer rooms with two beds that can be joined when necessary.

29- Each hotel’s child and extra bed policy may vary according to room type.

30- All extra beds and baby cots are provided upon request and subject to hotel availability, and must be approved by the hotel.

31- The maximum capacity for an extra bed or baby cot in a room is 1.

32- Extra beds are provided in triple rooms; in these rooms, the bed allocated to the third person is smaller than standard beds. Triple rooms consist of 1 large bed + 1 extra bed. Extra beds consist of beds referred to as folding beds and coach beds. Our guests are deemed to have declared their acceptance of the possible cramped conditions and bed type in rooms resulting from the addition of extra beds to standard rooms when making reservations for triple rooms and/or reservations with children.

33- If the number of children staying with adults and the children’s ages stated in hotel reservations are incorrectly declared by our guests, the relevant hotels may charge an additional fee. In such cases, responsibility lies with the guest who made the incorrect declaration. The hotel may request identification to determine the children’s ages.

34- In reservations for 2 adults + 1 child, a separate bed may not be available for the child. Child prices are valid only when the child stays with two adults. Child discounts apply to a “single child” who belongs to the relevant age group and stays with 2 adults.

35- Changes in exchange rates during the day are reflected in TL prices. The rates applicable at the time of payment are valid. Additional requests and certain extra services you receive at the hotel, such as minibar and ironing, are subject to an additional fee charged by the hotel. These expenses are not included in the price at the time of purchase and are paid directly to the hotel during your stay.

36- Some countries have different practices regarding city, tourism or local taxes. All such city, tourism or other taxes applied in this manner are collected from the guest by the hotel at check-in or check-out.

37- The road distances provided in the programs are map-based. Travel times may be extended due to traffic, weather conditions, the geographical location of the country visited, roadworks and road conditions.

38- In mandatory circumstances or when deemed necessary, DGNTRAVEL may change the order of the cities in the program and the main airline to be used, without altering the content of the program.

39- Participants in the tour are responsible for their personal belongings, bags, luggage and passports/identity documents. DGNTRAVEL is not responsible for items that are forgotten, lost or stolen. If forgotten items are found, the costs incurred in sending them to the country and/or person concerned shall be borne by the owner of the item.

40- Participants in the tour are required to carry their travel health insurance policies and any relevant medicines and medical reports if they have a health condition.

41- Upon check-in, the hotel may request a photo ID/passport issued by official institutions and a credit card or cash deposit for possible extra expenses. The refund of the requested deposit at check-out is a transaction between the hotel and the guest, and DGNTRAVEL has no involvement.

Visa and Passport

42- There is no visa requirement for citizens of the Republic of Turkey.

43- Our guests’ passports must be valid for at least 6 months from the end date of the trip.

44- At customs crossings/border gates, your passport must have at least 2 blank pages so that entry and exit stamps can be affixed.

45- Being exempt from a visa to enter the countries in this tour does not mean that entry into or exit from the country is guaranteed. Passport control officers have the authority to refuse your entry into or exit from the country. DGNTRAVEL is not responsible for this situation; responsibility lies with the passenger.

46- Guests who are not Turkish citizens or who have dual citizenship and will participate in the tour using the passport of their other country must personally consult the relevant consulates regarding the visa procedure applied by the country to be visited to the passport they will use; otherwise, DGNTRAVEL shall not be responsible for any resulting consequences.

47- To avoid problems with customs police at the border gate of the country to be visited due to passports that are torn, worn, wet and/or otherwise damaged, passports must be renewed. Otherwise, responsibility lies with the passenger.

48- As guests under the age of 18 may be asked by police officers at country entry and exit points to present a document showing the joint consent of both parents when travelling alone or with only one parent, we recommend that guests under the age of 18 and their parents pay particular attention to this matter.
