GENERAL TERMS

1- General Terms are an integral part of the tour program and cannot be considered independently of the tour program.

2- If sufficient participation is not achieved for the trip; Wtatil may cancel the tour up to 21 days before the departure date. In such a case, cancellation information is conveyed to the guest. The full tour fee is refunded to the guest. In the refund of additional services purchased outside the tour; the domestic connecting flight purchased from Wtatil is also refunded to the guest. If a visa service or travel health insurance was used to apply for a visa on behalf of the guest, these services cannot be refunded to the guest since they will have been used; if no visa application has been made, the visa and travel health insurance are also cancelled and the fee is refunded. If the guest purchased the domestic connecting flight from a product provider independent of Wtatil, in the event that the trip is cancelled by Wtatil, the guest cannot request any refund from Wtatil. The guest accepts in advance any material and moral losses that may arise due to the cancellation of the tour when purchasing the tour, and Wtatil cannot be held responsible.

3- If sufficient participation is not achieved for the trip, Wtatil has the right to show goodwill and not cancel the tour. In this case, since the tour will be provided individually for the guest, the guiding service included in the package will only cover the overseas round-trip area transfer.

Cancellation and Change

4- Our guests have the right to cancel without penalty, provided that they notify Wtatil in writing up to 30 days before the tour departure date, except for plane tickets that have been paid to and/or committed to the airline by Wtatil. If there are fewer than 31 days remaining until the start date of the trip, they may cancel by paying a penalty of 50% of the tour fee remaining after the plane ticket cost; if there are 15 days or less remaining until the start date of the trip, they may cancel by paying the full tour fee as the penalty. If a cancellation is requested, the refund conditions for additional services such as domestic connecting flights, visa services, and travel health insurance may vary depending on the cancellation request period, so prior information should be requested regarding refunds. Wtatil cannot make any commitment regarding the cancellation refund of additional services.

Guiding Services and Extra Tours

5- The days and times of the tours specified in the program may be changed by the guide according to the open/closed status of museums and historical sites in the places to be visited and weather conditions. Different guides may accompany our guests during the tours.

6- Panoramic city tours included in the tour package are tours arranged for the general introduction of the cities and carried out panoramically from inside the vehicle with guide commentary, lasting at most 2-3 hours and not including museum or archaeological site entrances. Panoramic tours, including other tours specified in the program, are not the responsibility of Wtatil if they cannot be carried out because, on the day and at the time specified for the tour, they are not permitted to be visited or entered by local authorities, or because of closed roads due to any event; likewise, if weather conditions make it impossible for the tour to take place. Some tours may, within possibilities, be conducted by public transportation or on foot at locations where roads are closed or vehicle access is not permitted.

7- Our guide may make changes to the days of the city tour and/or additional tours, depending on the content of our tours, the number of participants, and whether museums and historical sites are closed. This also applies in the event of changes in flight times.

8- Important points to note in our tours by Speed Boat: do not eat heavy meals or drink large amounts of water immediately before boarding the boat. Guests with stomach, back, or neck complaints, as well as pregnant guests, must inform their guides of their condition.

9- If the tour or meal services specified in the services included in the price are not attended, there is no refund.

About Flights

10- Wtatil acts as an intermediary between the airline and the passenger; in possible disputes, in addition to the relevant provisions of Turkish legislation, the Hague Protocol and the Warsaw Convention shall apply.

11- On scheduled and special flights, delays or changes in flight times may occur. Wtatil is obliged to notify such changes as soon as possible. The passenger has purchased the trip accepting the risk of changes/cancellation in flight times.

12- Children aged 0-2 pay only the airport tax.

13- Pursuant to airline rules; if the outbound flight of round-trip tickets purchased as a round trip is not used, the return flight is cancelled by the airline.

14- The check-in and boarding procedures to be carried out for persons participating in tours with flights are personal procedures, and it is mandatory for these procedures to be completed by the guest before the flight at airports, from the relevant airline counters, or online on the airlines’ websites.

15- Last-minute delays and gate changes that may occur on flights are announced audibly at airports and displayed on the information boards in the area. This information must be followed personally by the guests.

16- Wtatil is not responsible if guests who do not arrive at the specified airport at the times announced in accordance with airline rules for participation in the tour, who do not complete check-in and boarding procedures on time, or who complete check-in and boarding on time but do not board the aircraft, are unable to take the flight. All expenses that will arise regarding the procurement of new round-trip tickets required for guests who miss the flight to join the tour, as well as transfers in the destination region, etc., are their own responsibility.

17- In general, the baggage weight on flights departing from Turkey is 20 kg. This weight may vary depending on the airline and the destination country. If there are domestic flights in the destination country, the baggage allowance on these domestic flights may decrease to 15 kg. Excess baggage weight/price rules are determined by the airlines and are not the responsibility of Wtatil.

18- For our guests who wish to upgrade their airline tickets with miles (to business or first class); after the tickets are issued, upgrade operations may be carried out depending on the availability of the airline (check the airline of your membership). No mileage guarantee is given for each flight. Please check whether the program’s tickets are in an upgradable class.

19- On some airlines, food and beverage and online check-in services may be subject to an extra fee.

Other Matters

20- Wtatil will not accept responsibility for any change or cancellation made by the guest by contacting the hotel directly. In this case, Wtatil cancellation conditions will apply.

21- In cases where the hotel(s) are indicated in the tour program only with category information without specifying names and/or are offered as options for the same destination, the guest will be informed by Wtatil 48 hours before departure.

22- During special periods such as fairs, congresses, concerts, events, sports tournaments, etc., hotels may be used at a greater distance than the specified locations or km’s. In such a case, information will be provided by Wtatil 15 days before the departure date of the tour.

23- At the time of registration for the purchased tour; the name on the passport, date of birth, and passport number must be entered into the system correctly / declared by the guest. Airline tickets are issued according to this information. The penalty for cancellation or changes of airline tickets resulting from incorrect information will be charged to the guests.

24- In order to use your mobile phones abroad, before leaving Turkey, check whether your phone is enabled for international use by contacting the company your line belongs to.

25- The hotel check-in time for accommodation is 15:00, and check-out time is 12:00.

26- Wtatil informs the hotel of room-related requests (high floor, near common areas, smoking/non-smoking, bed type). Efforts are made to ensure that the reserved rooms meet the guest’s preferences according to the hotel’s availability. Fulfillment of these requests depends on availability at the time of check-in and cannot be guaranteed by Wtatil.

27- The breakfast served in hotels differs from the rich breakfast customary in Turkish cuisine. It is generally served with limited options, called continental breakfast, consisting of butter, jam, bread, tea, or coffee, and for groups it may be served in a separate hall allocated to the group.

28- In some cases, there may be a double bed instead of twin beds. Most European hotels offer rooms with 2 beds that can be joined if necessary.

29- The child and extra bed policy may vary from hotel to hotel according to room types.

30- Any extra bed and baby cot are provided upon request and subject to the hotel’s availability, and must be approved by the hotel.

31- The capacity for an extra bed or baby cot in the room is 1 (maximum).

32- An extra bed is applied in 3-person rooms; in such rooms, the bed allocated to the 3rd person is smaller than standard beds. 3-person rooms consist of 1 large bed + 1 extra bed. Extra beds are foldable beds and coach beds. Our guests are deemed to have declared that they accept the room congestion that may occur due to the extra beds added to the standard room in 3-person room and/or child bookings, as well as the bed type.

33- If the number of children and their ages staying with adults specified in hotel reservations are incorrectly declared by our guests, the relevant hotels may charge an additional fee. In such a case, responsibility belongs to the guest who made the incorrect declaration. The hotel may request identification to verify the age of children.

34- In reservations with 2 adults + 1 child, there may not be a separate bed for the child. Child prices are valid only if the child stays with two adults. Child discounts apply to the “single child” that falls within the age group staying with 2 adults.

35- Exchange rate changes during the day are reflected in TL prices. The rates valid at the time of payment apply. Your additional requests, some extra services you receive at the hotel (minibar, ironing, etc.) are subject to extra charges by the hotel. These expenses are not included in the price at the time of purchase and are paid directly to the hotel during your stay.

36- Some countries have different practices regarding city, tourism, or local taxes. Any city, tourism, or other taxes applied in this manner are collected from the guest by the hotel at check-in or check-out.

37- The road distances given in the programs are map-based. Travel times may be extended in cases such as traffic, weather conditions, the geographical location of the destination country, road works, and road conditions.

38- Wtatil may change the order of cities in the program and the main airline to be flown, without disrupting the content of the program, in mandatory situations or when deemed necessary.

39- The personal belongings, bags, suitcases, and passports/IDs of persons participating in the tour are under their own responsibility, and Wtatil is not responsible for forgotten/lost/stolen items. In cases where forgotten items are found, the costs incurred in delivering them to the country and/or person shall be borne by the owner of the item.

40- It is mandatory for persons participating in the tour to have their travel health insurance policies and, if they have any health problems, the relevant medications and reports with them.

41- For possible extra expenses, upon check-in, a photo ID/passport issued by official institutions and a credit card or cash deposit may be requested by the hotel. The refund of the deposit requested at check-out is a transaction between the hotel and the guest, and Wtatil has no involvement.

Visa and Passport

42- There is no visa requirement for citizens of the Republic of Turkey.

43- Our guests’ passports must be valid for at least 6 months from the end date of the trip.

44- For customs crossings/border gates, in order for an entry-exit stamp to be placed in your passport, there must be at least 2 blank pages in your passport.

45- Being exempt from a visa for entry into the countries in this tour does not mean that entry into or exit from the country is guaranteed; passport police have the authority to deny you entry/exit, and Wtatil is not responsible for this situation; responsibility lies with the passenger.

46- Our guests who are not Turkish citizens or who hold dual citizenship and will participate in the tour using the passport of the other country must personally consult the relevant consulates regarding the visa procedure applied by the country to be visited to the passport they will use; otherwise, Wtatil will not be responsible for the consequences arising.

47- In order to avoid problems with customs police at the border gate of the country to be visited due to passports that are torn, worn, wet, and/or exposed to similar damage(s); passports must be renewed. Otherwise, responsibility lies with the passenger.

48- Since there is a possibility that our guests under the age of 18, when traveling alone or with only one parent, may be asked by the border police at entry/exit to the country for a document showing the mutual consent of the parents; we recommend that our guests under 18 and their parents be sensitive about this matter.
