Important Notes
GENERAL CONDITIONS
- The General Conditions are an integral part of the tour program and cannot be considered independently of the tour program.
- If sufficient participation for the trip is not achieved, istyatur can cancel the tour up to 21 days prior to the travel date. In such a case, the cancellation information will be communicated to the guest. The full tour price will be refunded to the guest. For additional services purchased outside the tour, domestic flight connections booked through istyatur will also be refunded to the guest. However, services such as visa and travel health insurance that have been used to submit a visa application on behalf of the guest cannot be refunded, as they have been utilized. If the guest has purchased the domestic flight connection from a different provider independent of istyatur, they cannot request any refund from istyatur in the event of the trip being canceled by istyatur. Guests accept in advance any material and moral losses that may arise from the cancellation of the tour, and istyatur cannot be held liable.
- If sufficient participation for the trip is not achieved, istyatur has the right to show goodwill by not canceling the tour. In this case, since individual arrangements will be made for the guest, the guiding service included in the package will only cover the transfer to and from the airport for the international departure.
Cancellation and Change
- If cancellations are made in writing to istyatur at least 30 days prior to the departure date, the remaining amount after a 10% deduction from the package tour price will be refunded without any cuts. In cases where the tour start date is less than 30 days away, the guest can cancel by paying a penalty of 50% of the tour price, and for cancellations made 15 days or less before the tour start date, the total penalty of the tour price will be applied. For cancellation requests, since the refund conditions for additional services obtained, such as domestic flight connections, visa services, and travel health insurance, may vary depending on the cancellation request period, it is necessary to inquire about their refund conditions in advance. Istyatur cannot make any commitments regarding refunds for additional services.
Guiding Services and Extra Tours
- Extra tours are organized with a minimum participation of 20 people. If sufficient participation is not achieved, the tours may not be conducted, or the prices and contents of extra tours may vary. Additionally, the days and times of the tours can be adjusted by the guide based on the conditions of the museums, historical sites being open/closed, and weather conditions. Different guides may accompany guests during extra tours.
- The vehicles designated for extra tours are exclusively for the use of guests who have purchased this extra tour.
- The panoramic city tours included in the tour package are conducted as a general introduction to the cities and are done panoramically with guiding inside the vehicle, not including museum or historical site admissions, and last for a maximum of 2-3 hours. Panoramic tours will not be conducted if local authorities do not allow entry due to closures, or due to circumstances such as closed roads, or if the tour becomes impossible due to weather conditions. Some tours may be conducted using public transportation or on foot where there are closed roads or where entry for vehicles is not permitted, subject to available options.
- Our guide may change the days of city tours and/or extra tours according to the number of participants and whether the museum and historical site is closed. This also applies to any changes that may arise due to flight hours.
- Participation in extra tours is optional and not mandatory. Passengers who do not wish to participate in the extra tours organized during the tour are deemed to have agreed to wait at a suitable rest facility along the way. These passengers will be dropped off at a rest facility before the extra tour begins and will be picked up from the point they were dropped off after the tour is completed. Personal expenses incurred during the wait will be borne by them.
About Flights
- Istyatur acts as an intermediary between the airline and the passenger, and in the event of any disputes, the relevant provisions of Turkish law, as well as the Hague Protocol and the Warsaw Convention, will apply.
- There may be delays or flight time changes for scheduled and charter flights. Istyatur is obligated to notify these changes as soon as possible. The passenger accepts the risk of changes/cancellations in flight time by purchasing the trip.
- Children aged 0-2 only pay the airport tax fee.
- According to the rules of the airlines, if the outbound flight of round-trip tickets is not used, the return flight is canceled by the airline.
- Check-in and boarding procedures for those participating in air tours are personal responsibilities and must be completed by the guests at the relevant airline counters or online on the airline's website prior to the flight.
- Last-minute delays and gate changes during flights are announced audibly at airports and displayed on information boards. These updates must be followed by the guests themselves.
- Istyatur is not responsible for passengers who do not arrive at the designated airport at the specified times according to the airline's rules for participation in the tour, do not complete the check-in and boarding procedures on time, or complete these procedures but do not board the plane. All expenses related to obtaining new round-trip tickets and transfers in the destination area for passengers who miss their flight are their own responsibility.
- The general baggage allowance for departing flights from Turkey is 20 kg. This weight may vary based on the airline and the country of destination. If there are domestic flights in the destination country, this allowance may be reduced to 15 kg. Excess baggage fees/rules are determined by the airlines and are not the responsibility of istyatur.
- For guests wishing to upgrade their tickets with their miles to business or first class, upgrades can be made depending on the availability by the airline (please check with the airline you are a member of). No guarantees are given for miles on each flight. Please check whether the tickets in the program are from upgradeable classes.
- Some airlines may charge extra fees for food and beverages and online check-in services.
Other Matters
- Istyatur will not accept responsibility for any changes or cancellations made directly by the guest with the hotel. In this case, the cancellation conditions of istyatur will apply.

- During special periods such as fairs, congresses, concerts, events, and sports tournaments, hotels may be used further from the specified locations or distances. In such cases, istyatur will inform the guest 15 days before the departure date.
- When registering for the purchased tour, it is necessary to correctly enter/declare the name, date of birth, and passport number as they appear on the passport. Flight tickets are issued based on this information. Penalties for cancellations or changes of flight tickets due to incorrect information will be charged to the guests.
- Before leaving Turkey, ensure that your mobile phone is enabled for international use by contacting the service provider of your line.
- The hotel check-in time is 15:00 and the check-out time is 12:00.
- Istyatur will relay requests regarding rooms (high floor, close to common areas, smoking/non-smoking, bed type) to the hotel. Efforts will be made to ensure that booked rooms align with the guest's preferences according to the hotel’s availability. However, the realization of these requests depends on availability at the time of check-in, and istyatur cannot guarantee them.
- The breakfast offered at hotels differs from the rich breakfast traditionally found in Turkish cuisine. It generally consists of limited options such as butter, jam, bread, tea, or coffee, served in a separate room designated for groups.
- In some cases, a double room may instead be a double bed. Most European hotels offer rooms with two beds that can be combined if necessary.
- Child and extra bed policies may vary depending on the hotel and room types.
- All additional beds and baby cots are provided upon request and depend on the hotel's availability and must be approved by the hotel.
- The capacity for additional beds or baby cots in the room is 1 piece (maximum).
- In triple rooms, there is an application for an extra bed, which is smaller than standard beds for the 3rd person. Triple rooms consist of 1 large bed + 1 additional bed. The extra bed may be an opening-closing bed or a coach bed. Guests acknowledge and agree to any cramped conditions or the type of bed that may arise due to additional beds added to triple rooms or reservations with children.
- If the number and ages of children staying with adults in hotel reservations are incorrectly declared by the guests, relevant hotels may charge additional fees. In such cases, the responsibility lies with the guest who made the incorrect declaration. The hotel may request identification for age verification for children.
- In reservations of 2 adults + 1 child, separate bedding may not be available for the child. Child prices apply only when the child stays with two adults. Child discounts are valid for a single child who meets the age group when staying with two adults.
- Daily exchange rate changes are reflected in the Turkish Lira prices. The rates valid at the time of payment apply. Any additional requests or some extra services to be received at the hotel (minibar, ironing, etc.) are subject to extra charges by the hotel. These expenses are not included in the payment at the time of purchase and are paid directly to the hotel during your stay.
- Some countries may have different applications regarding municipal, tourism, or local taxes. All municipal, tourism, or other applicable taxes will be collected from the guest by the hotel during entry or exit.
- The road distances given in the programs are based on maps. Travel times may increase due to traffic, weather conditions, the geographical location of the visited country, road construction, and conditions.
- Istyatur can change the order of cities in the program or the main airline to be flown to without disrupting the content of the program in mandatory situations or if deemed necessary.
- All personal belongings, bags, luggage, passports/identities of the participants in the tour are their own responsibility, and istyatur is not responsible for forgotten/lost/stolen items. In the case of found lost items, the costs of delivering them to the country and/or the person are borne by the owner of the item.
- Participants in the tour are required to carry their travel health insurance policies and any related medications and reports if they have any health issues.
- For possible extra expenses, upon check-in at the hotel, picture ID/passport issued by official institutions, and a credit card or cash deposit may be requested by the hotel. The return of the deposit requested at check-out is an issue between the hotel and the guest, and istyatur has no intervention in this matter.
