GENERAL TERMS

  • General Terms are an integral part of the tour program and cannot be considered independently of the tour program.
  • If sufficient participation for the trip is not achieved, istyatur can cancel the tour up to 21 days before the tour departure date. In such a case, the cancellation information will be communicated to the guest. The full amount of the tour fee will be refunded to the guest. For additional services purchased outside the tour, if domestic connection flights purchased from istyatur are included, these will also be refunded to the guest. If a visa service was applied on behalf of the guest using travel health insurance, since these services are considered utilized, refund will not be possible. If a visa application was not made, the visa and travel health insurance will also be canceled, and a refund will be made. If the guest purchased the domestic connection flight from a different service provider independent of istyatur, they cannot request any refund from istyatur in case the trip is canceled by istyatur. Any financial and emotional losses arising from the cancellation of the tour are accepted in advance by the guest upon purchasing the tour, and istyatur cannot be held responsible.
  • In the event that sufficient participation for the trip is not achieved, istyatur has the right to show goodwill by not canceling the tour. In this case, since the tour will be provided individually for the guest, the package includes only transportation services for transfers from the airport for international departures and returns.

Cancellation and Change

  • In the case of cancellations made in writing to istyatur up to 30 days before the tour departure date, the remaining amount except for 10% of the package tour fee will be refunded without deduction. If the tour departure date is less than 30 days away, the guest may cancel by paying a penalty fee of 50% of the tour fee, and in the case of cancellation within 15 days or less before the tour start date, the entire tour fee must be paid as a penalty fee. In case of a cancellation request, the refund conditions for additional services such as domestic connection, visa services, and travel health insurance may vary according to the duration of the cancellation request, so it is necessary to inquire in advance about refunds. istyatur cannot make any commitment regarding the refunds of additional services.

Guiding Services and Extra Tours

  • Extra tours are organized with a minimum participation requirement of 20 people. If sufficient numbers are not achieved, tours may not be conducted, or extra tour prices and contents may vary. Additionally, the days and hours of the tours may be changed by the guide depending on the status of museums and historical sites being open/closed, as well as weather conditions. Different guides may accompany guests during extra tours.
  • The vehicles allocated for extra tours are for the use of guests who have purchased that extra tour.
  • The panoramic city tours included in the tour package are organized as general introductions to the cities and are conducted as panoramic tours with guidance from the vehicle, lasting no more than 2-3 hours and do not include museum or historical site entries. If panoramic tours cannot be conducted due to permission not being granted by local authorities, closures due to specific events, or if weather conditions make the tour impossible, istyatur is not responsible for these cancellations. Some tours may be conducted by public transport or on foot where road access is prohibited.
  • Our guide may make changes to the days of city tours and/or extra tours according to participant numbers and the status of the museums and historical sites. This also applies to any changes that may occur in flight times.
  • Participants' participation in extra tours is optional and not mandatory. Passengers who do not wish to participate in extra tours organized during the trip are considered to accept waiting at a suitable resting facility on the way. These passengers will be dropped off at a roadside resting facility before the extra tour begins and picked up from the same spot after the tour is completed. Any personal expenses incurred during the waiting period are the responsibility of the passengers.

About Flights

  • istyatur acts as an intermediary between the airline and the passenger, and in the event of any disputes, the relevant provisions of Turkish legislation, as well as the Hague Protocol and the Warsaw Convention will apply.
  • There may be delays or changes in flight times for scheduled and charter flights. istyatur is obliged to inform guests of these changes as soon as possible. Passengers have purchased the trip accepting the risk of flight time changes/cancellations.
  • Children aged 0-2 only pay the airport tax fee.
  • According to airline regulations, if the outbound flight of a purchased round-trip ticket is not used, the return flight is canceled by the airline.
  • Check-in and boarding procedures necessary for people participating in air tours are personal transactions, and these must be carried out by the guests at the airport before the flight at the airline counters or online through the airline's websites.
  • Last-minute delays and gate changes during the flight will be announced audibly at the airports and displayed on the information boards in the area. Guests should monitor this information personally.
  • istyatur is not responsible for passengers who are not present at the designated airport at the times indicated per the airline’s rules, do not complete check-in and boarding procedures on time, or do complete check-in and boarding procedures on time but do not board the flight. All expenses related to obtaining new round-trip plane tickets and transfers in the destination area due to missing the flight will be borne by the passengers themselves.
  • The general baggage allowance for flights originating from Turkey is 20 kg. This weight may vary according to the airline and the destination country. If there are domestic flights in the destination country, the baggage weight may drop to 15 kg on these domestic flights. Excess baggage weight/price regulations are determined by the airlines and are not the responsibility of istyatur.
  • For our guests who wish to upgrade their tickets with miles (to business or first class); upgrade procedures can be performed depending on the availability of the airline after the tickets are issued (please check with the airline you have membership with). No guarantee of upgrading for each flight is provided. Please check if the tickets in the program are from an upgradeable class.
  • In some airlines, food & beverage and online check-in services may be subject to additional charges.

Other Matters

  • istyatur will not accept responsibility for any changes or cancellations made by the guest directly with the hotel. In this case, istyatur's cancellation conditions will prevail.
  • In situations where the hotel(s) are presented only with category information without naming them, and/or options are provided for the same destination, the hotel name will be communicated to the guest by istyatur 48 hours before the tour departure.
  • During special periods such as fairs, congresses, concerts, events, sports tournaments, etc., hotels may be used from locations further away than the specified distances. In such cases, guests will be informed by istyatur 15 days before the tour departure date.
  • During registration for the purchased tour, the guest's name as per the passport, date of birth, and passport number must be entered/declared accurately in the system. Plane tickets are issued based on this information. Penalties for cancellations or changes of plane tickets arising from incorrect information will be charged to the guests.
  • To use your cell phones abroad, make sure to check with the service provider before leaving Turkey to verify that your phone is enabled for international use.
  • The hotel check-in time is at 15:00 and check-out time is at 12:00.
  • Requests regarding room preferences (high floor, proximity to common areas, smoking/non-smoking, bed type) are communicated to the hotel by istyatur. Efforts will be made to ensure that the reserved rooms meet the preferences of the guests according to hotel availability. However, fulfillment of these requests depends on availability at the time of check-in and is not guaranteed by istyatur.
  • The breakfast offered at hotels may differ from the rich breakfast typically served in Turkish cuisine. It is usually offered with limited options consisting of butter, jam, bread, tea, or coffee, and may be served in a separate room designated for groups.
  • In some cases, there may be a double bed instead of two single beds. Most European hotels offer rooms with two beds that can be combined if necessary.
  • The policies for children and extra beds may vary according to each hotel and room types.
  • All requests for extra beds and baby cots are provided upon request and depend on hotel availability, requiring approval from the hotel.
  • The capacity for extra beds or baby cots in the room is a maximum of 1 (one).
  • In triple rooms, there is an application for an extra bed, and in these types of rooms, the bed assigned to the 3rd person is smaller than standard beds. Triple rooms consist of 1 large bed + 1 extra bed. Extra beds consist of sofa beds or folding beds. Our guests are deemed to have accepted the potential cramped conditions and types of beds that may arise from the extra beds added to standard rooms in reservations for triple rooms and/or with children.
  • If the number of children and their ages stated in hotel reservations alongside adults is incorrectly declared by the guests, the relevant hotels may charge additional fees. In such cases, the responsibility lies with the guest who made the incorrect declaration. The hotel may request identification for age verification for children.
  • In reservations for 2 adults + 1 child, there may not be a separate bed for the child. Child prices are only valid if the child is accommodated with two adults. Child discounts apply to only "one child" in the age group that is in accompaniment with two adults.
  • Exchange rates during the day are reflected in TL prices. The rates at the time of payment are applicable. Additional requests and some extra services to be received at the hotel (minibar, ironing, etc.) may be subject to extra charges by the hotel. These expenses are not included in the payment made at the time of purchase and are paid directly to the hotel during your stay.
  • Some countries may have different applications regarding city, tourism, or local taxes. All such applicable city, tourism, or other taxes are collected by the hotel from the guest during entry or exit.
  • Distances given in the programs are based on maps. Travel durations may be extended due to traffic, weather conditions, geographical location of the visited country, road works, and similar situations.
  • istyatur may change the order of cities in the program or the main airline to be flown without altering the content of the program in case of mandatory situations or when deemed necessary.
  • Participants in the tour are responsible for their personal belongings, bags, suitcases, passports/identities, and istyatur is not responsible for items that are forgotten/lost/stolen. In cases where forgotten items are found, the costs for delivery to the country and/or the person will be borne by the owner of the item.
  • Tour participants must carry their travel health insurance policies and any medications and prescriptions for any health issues they may have.
  • For potential extra expenses, during check-in at hotels, official identification with a photo (passport) and a credit card or cash deposit may be requested by the hotel. The deposit requested upon check-out is a transaction between the hotel and the guest and isotyatur has no intervention in this.

Visa and Passport

  • Visa application is required for Turkish citizens.
  • istyatur acts as an intermediary between its guests and the consulate and does not guarantee any visa issuance. The consulate has the right to deny or refuse a visa as deemed necessary. istyatur holds no responsibility regarding the guest's inability to obtain a visa. istyatur solely undertakes the role of an intermediary institution. There are no sanctions or responsibilities on behalf of istyatur for personal visa applications. Our guests have accepted these terms by registering for the tour.
  • For visa application, it is necessary to apply with a passport valid for at least 6 months beyond the travel completion date along with the documents listed in the document list that can be obtained from our agency. Visa is not required for holders of a green passport; a passport valid for at least 6 months beyond the travel completion date is sufficient.
  • Guests who have an existing visa for the tour destination or will not make any visa application through istyatur must also ensure their passports are valid for at least 6 months past the travel completion date.
  • To have an entry-exit stamp in your passport at customs crossings/border gates, there must be at least 2 blank pages in your passport.
  • Having a visa or possessing a special type of passport that is exempt from visa requirements does not guarantee entry/exit from the country; border police have the authority to refuse entry/exit, and istyatur is not responsible for this situation; the responsibility lies with the passenger.
  • Guests who are not Turkish citizens or those who use their other country's passport for travel must consult the relevant consulates regarding the visa procedures applied by the country they will travel to; otherwise, istyatur will not be responsible for any resulting outcomes.
  • Visa applications can be made starting 3 months prior to the tour departure. It is recommended to complete your visa application as soon as possible to ensure a smoother visa process and to avoid being affected by seasonal congestion or administrative differences at consulates as the tour departure date approaches.
  • Guests traveling with a T.C. green passport must renew their passports if they were issued more than 10 years ago; otherwise, they may be refused entry into the destination country and/or may not be able to fly with the airline from Turkey. In such a case, the responsibility lies with the passenger.
  • To avoid issues with customs police at the border crossing in the visited country due to damaged, worn, wet, and/or similarly damaged passports; it is necessary to renew the passports, and if the visas that apply to Turkish citizens are involved, they must be on the new passport. Otherwise, the responsibility lies with the passenger.
  • Traveling with valid Schengen visas on canceled passports is not permitted.
  • Guests under 18 years of age who are traveling alone or accompanied by only one parent should be aware they might be asked by the border police to present a document showing the joint consent of both parents regarding their travel.
