1st Day Istanbul- Ganja- Imamzade Complex- Sheki We recommend you to be at Istanbul Sabiha Gokcen Airport by 03:15… Departing at 06:20 on Ajet Airlines flight VF 313 to Ganja, a city that enchants visitors with its historical and natural beauties, frequently mentioned in Dede Korkut stories. Arriving at 09:45. After necessary procedures, we start our Ganja Tour with our private vehicle. During our tour, we will explore this beautiful city on foot in some areas. Among the places to visit are the oxygen depot of the city, Haydar Aliyev Park, House of Bottles built with 5,000 bottles in honor of a soldier who could not return home during World War II, Ataturk Avenue, the Philharmonic Hall that has hosted many important concerts, the Friday Mosque built in the 17th century, and the Alexander Nevsky Church built in accordance with Byzantine architecture funded by the Christian and Muslim populations. During our free time, you can enjoy lunch at venues offering delicious Azeri dishes. After that, we set off for the Imamzade Complex (approximately 7 km). Enclosed by red bricks, this magnificent complex features finely crafted architecture, including the tomb of Imam Muhammad al-Bakr, the mosque, and the caravanserai. Then, we travel towards Sheki, through a wonderful road adorned with forests, lakes, and mountains (approximately 145 km). Upon arrival, we will explore Sheki, the oldest, most authentic, and beautiful city of Azerbaijan. A classic mountain city, Sheki is known for its gentle people and unique culture and cuisine. We will visit the Upper and Lower Sheki Caravanserais, historical stone and wooden buildings spread across narrow and stony streets, the magnificent Han Palace which is a UNESCO World Heritage site from the Persian era, Sheki Fortress consisting of the Sheki Crafts Workshops, Etnography Museum, Art Gallery, Art House, Han's relatives' special Sheki Han Palace built for their comfort, the city's important religious structures including Han and Friday Mosques, all to be seen during our tour. During our free time in the bazaar, you can taste the famous Azeri Tea with Sheki Halva and purchase many pieces of handmade art, especially the beautiful silk products. After the tour, we will transfer to our hotel and check into our rooms. Overnight accommodation at our hotel. 2nd Day Sheki- Gabala- Shamakhi- Baku After breakfast and checking out of the rooms, we set off for Gabala, known for its natural beauties (approximately 120 km). Along the way, enjoy the unique landscapes of the National Park. At Nohur Lake, we will have free time, where the beauty resembling paradise with mountains, forests, and waterfalls will recharge your energy. Next, we head towards Shamakhi (approximately 95 km). Known for the Shamakhi Siege during the Ottoman-Safavid war and being one of the most significant areas in the Caucasus for winemaking and carpet weaving, we will see the old town center, Yeddi Gumbez Tomb located at the foot of Gulistan Fortress, and Friday Mosque. Afterward, we continue our journey to Baku (approximately 125 km). Once we arrive, we check into our hotel. Overnight accommodation at our hotel. 3rd Day Baku (Dinner with Azeri Night) After breakfast, we depart from our hotel for a full-day Baku city tour. With numerous recent investments, the historical and traditional features of Baku are now complemented by a modern architectural view. On this comprehensive tour, you will see and learn about the key areas of New and Old Baku. First, we go to Martyrs’ Lane and then to Highland Park, where you can enjoy panoramic views of Baku city and Baku Bay and take lots of photos. Next, we head to Old City, also known as Icherisheher, listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site. Here, you will see the historical and traditional aspects of Baku, including the Maiden Tower built in the 12th century, Friday Mosque dating back to the 15th century, Siniggala Minaret, and Mohammed Mosque, the only Miniature Books Museum in the world, the Shirvan Shah Palace regarded as one of the pearls of Azerbaijani historical architecture, Ismailiyya Palace which currently serves as the Azerbaijan Academy of Sciences, the city's heartbeat Independence Avenue, Fountain Square named after the historic fountain found here, Belediye Park famous for its Philharmonic Fountain, and the National Carpet and Carpet Museum are on our visit list. Afterward, we will explore the modern face of the city, visiting areas with many futuristic architectural works, including the world-famous Flame Towers, and then proceed to Baku Boulevard, which runs parallel to the “Little Venice” area, a pedestrian path built a century ago where Oil Barons constructed their mansions. At the end of the tour, we head to a local venue for Dinner with Folkloric Show and Azeri Night. In one of the historical sites of the city, enjoy traditional Mugham music and local delicacies, followed by transfers back to the hotel. Overnight accommodation at our hotel. 4th Day Baku- Ateshgah- Absheron- Heydar Aliyev Cultural Center- Istanbul After breakfast, we have free time. After checking out of the rooms, our tour begins with a short trip to visit Ateshgah (Fire Temple), one of the three Zoroastrian temples remaining to this day and the most important, built initially in the 3rd century AD. Known for its ever-burning fire since ancient times, particularly during the active period of the Silk Road, it gained worldwide fame after being rebuilt by Zoroastrian Pilgrims in the 17th century. After this visit, we go to witness the dancing flames of Yanar Dag (Burning Mountain). Following this, we continue our tour with a visit to the Heydar Aliyev Cultural Center, designed by the Iraqi-born British futuristic architect Zaha Hadid, covering an impressive area of 101,000 square meters, garnering worldwide attention when constructed. The complex represents the rise of the Caspian Sea in Azeri mythology and consists of a theater, conference halls, a museum, and art galleries.
