1st Day Istanbul – Casablanca
Meet 3 hours before the flight in front of the Turkish Airlines counter at Istanbul Airport international departures terminal. After baggage and ticket procedures, depart for Casablanca at 11:50 on Turkish Airlines flight TK617. Upon arrival in Casablanca at 14:50 local time, our city tour of Casablanca begins with our vehicle waiting for us at the airport. Casablanca, the main port of Morocco, is famous for the 1942 Hollywood film named after the city and is the country’s economic center as well as its most populous city. While wandering through the city’s narrow streets, you can see the Islamic, French, and Berber influences that reflect its rich cultural past. Among the places we will see are Casablanca’s heart, Mohammed V Square; United Nations Square, where Morocco’s past and present are magnificently blended; the magnificent Hassan II Mosque, famous for having the world’s second tallest minaret; the Old Medina; the Habous district, famous for its open-air markets; and Ain Diab and Corniche along the Atlantic coastline. After the tour, transfer to our hotel and free time. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.
2nd Day Casablanca – Rabat – Marrakech
After breakfast at the hotel, we depart for Rabat, the glorious capital of Morocco. Upon arrival, during our panoramic city tour we will see Hassan Tower, the Mohammed V Mausoleum built in memory of the grandfather of the current king, the pioneer of Morocco’s independence, and the Royal Palace. After the tour, we head to Marrakech. Upon arrival in Marrakech, we begin exploring the city, whose narrow streets take you back centuries, and whose name comes from the Berber word “mur akush,” meaning “Land of God.” Marrakech is one of the country’s most important tourist centers and is also known as the “Red City” because of its famous red walls. During our city tour, we will see Bahia Palace, offering a wonderful impression of what it was like to be an aristocrat in Morocco in the 19th century; Koutoubia Minaret, one of the city’s most important landmarks; Majorelle Gardens, home to a collection of plants from around the world; and Djemaa el Fna Square, the heart of the city known as the “Courtyard of Souks and Wonders.” After the tour, transfer to our hotel and free time. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.
3rd Day Marrakech – Essaouira – Marrakech
After breakfast at the hotel, we join the UNESCO World Heritage magnificent Essaouira tour. Essaouira, which has hosted civilizations since prehistoric times, is located on the Atlantic coast and is known for its medina surrounded by white old city walls, narrow streets, and traditional markets. This Essaouira, whose city center is on UNESCO’s World Heritage list, is a quiet seaside town where art and culture blend together, in addition to being a fishing port. The city offers visitors a relaxing escape, and compared to Marrakech it has a much calmer atmosphere. Over the years, this atmosphere attracted world-famous artists such as Cat Stevens, Jimi Hendrix, and Orson Welles, turning the city into a center of art and culture. The town also hosted the filming of the famous Game of Thrones series. During our tour, we will see the Essaouira ramparts and Essaouira Castle, Essaouira Port where the fish market is located, and the world-famous Medina. While exploring Essaouira, where the elegance of traditional Moroccan architecture meets the traces of modern life, you will also have the opportunity to enjoy shopping. After the tour, we return to our hotel in Marrakech. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.
4th Day Marrakech – Atlas Mountains – Marrakech
After breakfast at the hotel, we join the magnificent Atlas Mountains and Ourika Valley tour. The highest peak of the mountain range, which forms a wall separating the Mediterranean coasts of Northwest Africa from the Sahara Desert, is Toubkal near Marrakech. The mountain range is also home to a wide variety of plant and animal life, much of which is at risk of extinction. The distinctive culture and lifestyle of the Berbers, the oldest known indigenous people of North Africa, who constitute the majority of the population in the region, offer visitors a different experience together with the majestic scenery of the mountains. After our tour, we will take a break in the Ourika Valley at the foothills of the Atlas Mountains and enjoy the beauty of nature. After the excursion, we return to Marrakech. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.
5th Day Marrakech – Casablanca – Istanbul
After breakfast at the hotel and check-out, free time. Then, at the time announced by our guide, transfer to the airport. After baggage and ticket procedures, depart for Istanbul at 16:45 on Turkish Airlines flight TK618. Arrival at 23:25 local time and the end of the tour.
