  • Isparta – Lavender Fields – Sagalassos Ancient City - Salda Lake – Denizli

  • After our night journey, following an extra breakfast we will have on the road for the DGN Travel Lavender Salda Sagalassos Pamukkale Tour, we arrive at Kuyucak Village, affiliated with Keçiborlu District, our first stop of the tour.
  • The village’s adobe houses and the lavender clusters along the sidewalks impress us. The local people of the village generally earn their living from lavender production. As we continue along the roads of Kuyucak Village, when we see the purple fields, we close our eyes and breathe in the beautiful lavender scent surrounding us, feeling that this lovely fragrance cleanses all our cells. As we move along the road, it is impossible not to be amazed and impressed by the purple lavender fields. We immediately throw ourselves into the lavender fields, and after watching and learning the intricacies of the work from the workers there, we begin to harvest our lavenders. After collecting our lavenders, we take plenty of photos to immortalize this beautiful view and memory. After taking photos and walking through the lavender fields, we complete our shopping for lavender products and bid farewell to this beautiful scenery as we set off for Sagalassos Ancient City.
  •
  • Sagalassos was the most important city of the Roman Imperial period in the Pisidia Region. Built on the slopes of Mount Akdağ at an altitude of 1700 meters above sea level, the city has survived to the present day in preserved form. When you see the waters flowing from the Antonine Fountain, you will feel as if you are living in that era. As we walk along the colonnaded street and receive information, we will travel through time. The other parts of the city include the Odeon, bath ruins, Hellenistic fountain, Agora, Heroon (Monument of Heroism), 9000-seat theater, and library. After visiting and learning about these, we leave the ancient city and have our lunch. After lunch, we arrive at Salda Lake, Turkey’s 3rd deepest lake.
  • Known as the Maldives of Turkey and said to be “If you are curious about Mars, go to Salda,” Salda Lake, which shares similar rock characteristics with Mars, will fascinate us. With its white sands and turquoise water, Salda Lake captivates us, and we tour it with our guide. We are given free time until the time set by our guide so that we can take unique photos at Salda Lake and fully enjoy the atmosphere. When our free time ends, we say goodbye to Salda Lake and head to our hotel. Dinner and accommodation at our hotel.

3rd Day

  • Laodicea Ancient City – Hierapolis Ancient City – Pamukkale Travertines – Istanbul

  • For the DGN Travel Lavender Salda Sagalassos Pamukkale Tour, after breakfast at our hotel in the morning, we leave the hotel and head to Laodicea Ancient City. We carry out our tour in the permitted areas of the ancient city, which was founded in the mid-3rd century BC by Seleucid King Antiochus II in the name of his wife Laodice, as excavations are still ongoing. After our visit, we move on to Hierapolis Ancient City, which is on the UNESCO World Cultural and Natural Heritage List.
  • Hierapolis Ancient City was built right next to the travertines by the Kingdom of Pergamon, unable to resist the beauty and allure of Pamukkale Travertines 2,000 years ago. We begin our visit to Hierapolis Ancient City with the largest necropolis in Anatolia and the bath building located outside the city walls. Then, as we tour and photograph the main street of the city, Domitian Gate, and the Latin Building, we proceed to the Hierapolis Ancient Theater, one of the best-preserved ancient theaters in Anatolia, where we receive information from our guide. The Hierapolis Ancient Theater will also fascinate us with its magnificent views of the ancient city and Denizli. After taking photos, we listen to our guide and tour the Apollo Temple and Plutonium, known as the gateway to hell, or the “Cinna” (Cin Aralığı). Then, after a walk along the colonnaded street, we reach Pamukkale Travertines, which, with their pure white texture, captivated the Kingdom of Pergamon 2,000 years ago just as they captivate us today and can be seen similarly only in the town of Travertino in Italy. As we walk on the terrace where walking is permitted, the photos we take with the commanding view of the Denizli Plain will remain unforgettable memories for us. After completing our time here, we stop for lunch. After lunch, we make a short shopping stop at Denizli’s famous textile workshops. Once our shopping is complete, the DGN Travel Lavender Fields Salda Lake Pamukkale Tour comes to an end and we begin our return journey. We bid farewell to you, our valued guests, at the points where we picked you up, to meet again at another DGN Travel event.
