ISTANBUL – LJUBLJANA – TRIESTE – (Ferrara Tour) – FLORENCE
We will gather at Istanbul Airport International Departures Terminal 3 hours before the flight and complete ticketing, baggage drop, and passport procedures. Afterward, we fly to Ljubljana with Turkish Airlines direct scheduled flight TK1061 at 07:30. Upon arrival at Ljubljana Airport at 08:45 local time, we meet our private coach and head to Trieste. During our Trieste tour, main highlights include Piazza Unita Building, San Giusto Basilica, Campo Square, and especially Piazza Unita d’Italia, considered one of Italy’s most impressive squares due to its seaside location, elegant and serene grandeur, and the fact that it features both Italian and Central European architecture. Trieste is also known as the birthplace of the world-famous Illy Coffee, because for centuries it was one of the main ports of the Austro-Hungarian Empire and coffee beans were largely distributed to Europe from here. After our tour in Trieste and a short free time, we depart for our hotel in the Florence region. On the way, guests who wish may join the optional Ferrara Tour (40 Euro). After the tour, where we will panoramicly see the Renaissance-style areas and architectural structures on one side, and the region’s characteristic old brick houses, churches, monasteries, and the historic Este Castle reflecting medieval traces on the other, we continue our journey to Florence. Upon arrival at the hotel, room assignment and free time for rest.
FLORENCE – (Pisa & Cinque Terre by Train Tour)
After breakfast at the hotel, we offer a full day at leisure. During this free time, guests who wish may join the optional Pisa & Cinque Terre by Train Tour (95 Euro). Our first stop on the tour will be Cinque Terre. Cinque Terre consists of villages lined up one after another and connected by walking paths. It is located on Italy’s west coast, known for its colorful houses and distinctive local flavors. Thanks to its culture and historical features, it is on UNESCO’s World Heritage List and is also protected as a national park. After free time in Cinque Terre, we continue our journey to Pisa. Upon arrival in Pisa, we will visit the Leaning Tower of Pisa, the Cathedral, the Baptistery, and Miracoli Square. After a short free time for photos, transfer to our hotel in the Florence region and free time to rest.
FLORENCE – (San Gimignano & Siena Tour) – ROME
After breakfast and check-out from the hotel, we depart for Rome. On the way, guests who wish may join the optional San Gimignano & Siena Tour (80 Euro). Our first stop will be San Gimignano. San Gimignano, which has preserved its medieval architecture and appearance to the present day, has earned its place on the UNESCO World Heritage List; it is also known as the “Town of Beautiful Towers” thanks to 14 architectural marvels that survived from 76 towers after wars and natural disasters. In the streets that make you feel as if time has stopped and you have traveled back to the Middle Ages, and in the squares where each street opens, we will panoramicly see the 14 magnificent towers during our walking tour. Afterward, we reach Siena, our next stop. Siena is famous for its narrow streets and lanes dating back to the Middle Ages and Campo Square, considered one of the largest squares in Europe. After a pleasant tour of Campo Square and the historic narrow streets leading to it, we complete our program and continue our journey to Rome. Upon arrival at our hotel in the Rome region, room assignment and free time for rest.
ROME – (Rome Icons & Vatican and Local Neighborhoods Tour)
After breakfast, we offer a full day at leisure. Guests who wish may join the optional Rome Icons & Vatican and Local Neighborhoods Tour (95 Euro). In Rome, the “city at the center of the world,” or Urbs aput mundi, we take you on a historical journey through the city and its icons, where art, history, music, shopping, sunshine, and cuisine come together, with buildings in styles ranging from antiquity to the Renaissance. While the masterpieces created by rivaling architects attract thousands of tourists in every season, Rome carries all this beauty and elegance without overwhelming even in the midst of the crowds. During our tour, in the imperial city of Rome, which has shaped European civilization and witnessed 23 centuries of history, we will first see the Colosseum, the city’s symbol and an ancient theater that hosted gladiator fights during the Roman Empire; the Roman Forum, the ceremonial center of the city in imperial times; the Trevi Fountain, where legend says that anyone who throws a coin will return to Rome; the Spanish Steps, famous for street performers; and Piazza Pietra and Piazza Popolo, all from the outside. After the Rome Icons Tour, we offer free time at the Pantheon. We then see Castel Sant’Angelo, the Angel’s Castle, and Navona Square, and visit Vatican / San Pietro, the center of the Catholic branch of Christianity and the world’s smallest country by area. On St. Peter’s Square, where thousands of Catholics come to worship and gather every year and where the Pope greets the public from his residence on special occasions, we offer free time in front of St. Peter’s Basilica, the world’s largest cathedral with 140 statues of saints. After the free time, we begin our Rome Local Neighborhoods tour. In this tour, where we mingle with the people of Rome and feel like residents of the city, we experience the true Italian atmosphere in Trastevere, Piazza Trilussa, Ponte Sisto, and the Ghetto areas, known for their naturalness and simplicity as well as their cafés, small family restaurants, boutiques, greengrocers, butchers, and many other small and charming shops. The Antico Tiber Island, connected to the city by two bridges, is also seen panoramically. After a walk through the narrow, maze-like back streets with small tables set out, we complete our tour and return to our hotel in the Rome region.
ROME – (Amalfi Pearl Sorrento Tour) – ROME
After breakfast, we offer a full day at leisure. During this free time, guests who wish may join the optional full-day Amalfi Pearl Sorrento Tour (95 Euro). Sorrento, whose history dates back to prehistoric times and which combines Italian character and charm with a Mediterranean style, fascinates its visitors with its small boutiques, stunning beaches, breathtaking views, and the famous Italian lemon liqueur Limoncello. After our city tour and surroundings in Sorrento on the Amalfi Coast, we offer free time for sea, sand, and sun at the area’s most beautiful beaches. After this pleasant free time, we complete our tour and return to our hotel in the Rome region.
ROME – FLORENCE – VENICE
After breakfast and check-out from the hotel, we depart for Florence. Upon arrival in Florence, we begin our city tour. In Florence, the capital of the Renaissance and the hometown of Pinocchio, we first see from the outside the Santa Maria del Fiore Cathedral, which immediately stands out with its orange dome and is the 4th largest church in Europe. One of the cathedral’s most striking features is its bronze doors, called the “Gates of Paradise,” where scenes representing prophetic stories mentioned in the Quran are depicted. Next, we see Giotto’s Bell Tower, once used to call the people to the parliament, the Signoria Square, which for centuries was the political and social center of Florence and houses Michelangelo’s famous David statue, and the Old Bridge (Ponte Vecchio), famous for its antique and jewelry shops. After the Florence city tour, we head to our hotel in the Venice region. Upon arrival at our hotel in the Venice region, room assignment and free time for rest.
VENICE – (Venice Masterpieces & Islands by Boat and Outlet Tour)
After breakfast, during the full day of free time offered, guests who wish may join the optional Venice Masterpieces & Islands by Boat and Outlet Tour (135 Euro – Vaporetto transportation included). First, we offer pleasant free time at the outlet center, home to world-famous brands’ stylish shops, cafés and restaurants, and personal activity areas, for affordable and quality shopping. After the free time, we depart for our Venice Colorful Islands program. On this tour, where we will have the chance to observe Venice from different angles by passing through the lagoons, we will see Lido and Murano from the sea and visit Burano Island, a fishing village famous for its lacework and known as one of the 10 most colorful places in the world. After the Colorful Islands program, we move to the canals area to organize our Venice Masterpieces program. In this section of our tour in Venice, we will see iconic structures such as St. Mark’s Square, built of stone and marble with columns brought from Istanbul; St. Mark’s Basilica; the Doge’s Palace, designed and used as a symbol of prestige and power; the Clock Tower; the Bridge of Sighs; and the historic Campanile Bell Tower, followed by a pleasant walk through Venice’s streets connected by bridges and lined with narrow canals. After the Venice Masterpieces tour, we complete our program and return to our hotel in the Venice region for free time to rest.
VENICE – (Ljubljana & Lake Bled Tour) – LJUBLJANA – ISTANBUL
After breakfast and check-out from the hotel, we head to Ljubljana Airport for our return flight to Istanbul. On the way, guests who wish may join the optional Ljubljana and Lake Bled Tour (65 Euro). We first begin with a city tour of Ljubljana. Ljubljana, the capital and largest city of Slovenia, is culturally and architecturally rich because it lies at the intersection of Alpine, Central European, and Mediterranean cultures. During our tour, we will see Vodnik Square, Ljubljana Castle, St. Nicholas Cathedral, Zmajski Most (Dragon Bridge), Old Square, the Historic Fountain, and People’s Square. After a short free time, we depart for Bled. We will enjoy a peaceful tour of Bled, famous for its emerald-green mountain lake with an island in the middle, its church on the island, and Bled Castle on the high hills. After completing our tour, we continue our journey to Ljubljana Airport. Upon arrival at the airport, after completing baggage drop, ticket, and passport control procedures, we fly to Istanbul on Turkish Airlines’ direct scheduled flight TK1064 at 20:15. Arrival at Istanbul Airport at 23:40 local time and end of our tour.
