ISTANBUL – LJUBLJANA – TRIESTE – (Ferrara Tour) – FLORENCE
After arriving at Istanbul Airport’s International Terminal 3 hours before departure and completing ticketing, baggage drop, and passport procedures, we fly to Ljubljana at 07:30 on Turkish Airlines’ scheduled direct flight TK1061. Upon arrival at Ljubljana Airport at 08:45 local time, we meet our private coach and depart for Trieste. During our Trieste tour, Piazza Unita building, San Giusto Basilica, Campo Square, and especially Piazza Unita d’Italia, which is considered one of Italy’s most impressive squares due to its seaside location, elegant and serene grandeur, and the fact that it reflects both Italian and Central European architecture, are among the main sights. Trieste is also known as the birthplace of world-famous Illy Coffee, since for centuries it was one of the main ports of the Austro-Hungarian Empire and coffee beans spread to Europe largely from here. After our tour in Trieste and a short period of free time, we head to our hotel in the Florence region where we will stay overnight. En route, guests who wish may join the optional Ferrara Tour (40 Euro). After our sightseeing, during which we can see panoramic views of the area’s Renaissance-inspired spaces and architectural structures on one side, and the old brick houses, churches, monasteries, and the historic Este Castle reflecting the traces of the Middle Ages on the other, we continue our journey to Florence. Upon arrival at the hotel, room assignment and free time for rest.
FLORENCE – (Pisa & Cinque Terre by Train Tour)
After breakfast at the hotel, we offer a full day of free time. During this free time, guests who wish may join the optional Pisa & Cinque Terre by Train Tour (95 Euro). Our first stop on the tour will be Cinque Terre. Cinque Terre consists of villages lined up one after another and connected by walking paths. With its colorful houses and distinctive local flavors, it is located on Italy’s west coast. Thanks to its culture and historical features, it is included on UNESCO’s World Heritage List and is also protected as a national park. After free time in Cinque Terre, we continue our journey to Pisa. Upon arrival in Pisa, our tour includes the Leaning Tower of Pisa, the Cathedral, the Baptistery, and Piazza dei Miracoli. After a short free time for photos, we transfer to our hotel in the Florence region for rest and free time.
FLORENCE – (San Gimignano & Siena Tour) – ROME
After breakfast and hotel check-out, we depart for Rome. En route, guests who wish may join the optional San Gimignano & Siena Tour (80 Euro). Our first stop on the tour will be San Gimignano. San Gimignano has earned its place on the UNESCO World Heritage List for preserving its medieval architecture and appearance to this day, and it is also known as the “Town of Fine Towers” thanks to the 14 architectural marvel towers that survived wars and natural disasters out of the original 76. In San Gimignano, where time seems to have stopped and visitors feel as if they have taken a journey back to the Middle Ages, we will enjoy a sightseeing walk through its narrow streets opening onto the town square and panoramic views of the 14 magnificent towers. Afterward, we reach Siena, the next stop on our tour. Siena is famous for its narrow medieval streets, small avenues, and Campo Square, considered one of the largest squares in Europe. After a pleasant walk through Campo Square and the historic narrow streets leading to it, we complete our tour and continue on to Rome. Upon arrival at our hotel in the Rome region, room assignment and free time for rest.
ROME – (Rome Icons & Vatican and Local Neighborhoods Tour)
After breakfast, we offer a full day of free time. Guests who wish may join the optional Rome Icons & Vatican and Local Neighborhoods Tour (95 Euro). We take you on a historical journey through Rome and its icons, a city described as Urbs aput mundi, meaning “the city at the center of the world,” where art, history, music, shopping, sunshine, and food await you, with buildings in various styles ranging from antiquity to the Renaissance. While the works created by architects competing with one another attract thousands of tourists to the city in every season, Rome carries even these crowds without overwhelming visitors, all with its beauty and elegance. On our tour, we begin in the imperial city of Rome, which has shaped European civilization and bears witness to 23 centuries of history, first seeing the Colosseum, the city’s symbol and an ancient theater that hosted gladiator fights during the Roman Empire, the Roman Forum, the center of ceremonies during imperial times, the Trevi Fountain, where, according to legend, those who throw a coin will return to Rome, the Spanish Steps famous for street performers, and Piazza Pietra and Piazza Popolo, which will be seen panoramically. After the Rome Icons Tour, we provide free time at the Pantheon. We then continue by seeing Castel Sant’Angelo, the Castle of the Angels, and Navona Square, and visit Vatican / San Pietro, the center of the Catholic branch of Christianity and the world’s smallest country by area. At St. Peter’s Square, where thousands of Catholics gather for worship every year and where, on special occasions, the Pope comes out from his residence to greet the public, we offer free time by St. Peter’s Basilica, the world’s largest cathedral with 140 statues of saints. After the free time, we begin our Rome Local Neighborhoods tour. In this walk through the local life of Rome, where we mingle with the people and feel like true residents of the city, we experience the real Italian atmosphere in neighborhoods such as Trastevere, Piazza Trilussa, Ponte Sisto, and the Ghetto area, which stand out with their authenticity and simplicity, as well as their cafes, small family-run restaurants, boutiques, greengrocers, butchers, and many other small and charming shops. Antik Tiber Island, connected to the city by two bridges, will also be seen panoramically. After a walking tour through the narrow labyrinth-like back streets with small tables set out, we complete our tour and return to our hotel in the Rome region.
ROME – (Amalfi Pearl Sorrento Tour) – ROME
After breakfast, we offer a full day of free time. During this free time, guests who wish may join the full-day optional Amalfi Pearl Sorrento Tour (95 Euro). Sorrento, whose history dates back to prehistoric times and which captivates visitors by combining Italian character and charm with a Mediterranean style, is famous for its small tourist boutiques, breathtaking coastlines, stunning views, and Limoncello, the Italian lemon liqueur. After our city tour and sightseeing in Sorrento, located on the Amalfi Coast, we offer free time for sea, sand, and sun on Sorrento’s beautiful beaches. After this enjoyable free time, we complete the tour and return to our hotel in the Rome region.
ROME – FLORENCE – VENICE
After breakfast and hotel check-out, we depart for Florence. Upon arrival in Florence, we begin our city tour. In Florence, the capital of the Renaissance and the hometown of Pinocchio, we first see from the outside the Santa Maria del Fiore Cathedral, which immediately stands out with its orange dome and is the 4th largest church in Europe. One of the cathedral’s most notable features is the bronze door known as the “Gate of Paradise,” on which prophetic stories, some also mentioned in the Quran, are depicted. Next, we see Giotto’s Bell Tower, once used to call the people to parliament, Piazza della Signoria, which was the political and social center of Florence for centuries and houses Michelangelo’s famous David statue, and the Old Bridge (Ponte Vecchio), famous for its antique and jewelry shops. After the Florence city tour, we head to our hotel in the Venice region. Upon arrival at our hotel in the Venice region, room assignment and free time for rest.
VENICE – (Venetian Masterpieces & Colorful Islands by Boat and Outlet Tour)
After breakfast, during a full day of free time, guests who wish may join the optional Venetian Masterpieces & Colorful Islands by Boat and Outlet Tour (135 Euro – Vaporetto transport fees included). First, we will enjoy free time at an outlet center offering quality shopping at affordable prices, home to stylish boutiques of world-famous brands, cafes and restaurants, and leisure areas. After the free time, we will depart for our Venetian Colorful Islands program. On this tour, where we will have the opportunity to observe Venice from different angles by passing through the lagoons, we will see Lido and Murano from the sea and visit Burano Island, the fishing village famous for its lace and known as one of the 10 most colorful places in the world. After the Colorful Islands program, we head to the canal area to carry out our Venetian Masterpieces program. In this part of our tour in Venice, we will see major iconic landmarks such as St. Mark’s Square, whose columns were brought from Istanbul and built from stone and marble, St. Mark’s Basilica, the Doge’s Palace designed and used as a symbol of grandeur and power, the Clock Tower, the Bridge of Sighs, and the historic Campanile Bell Tower, followed by a pleasant walking tour through the streets of Venice connected by bridges and extending along narrow canals. After the Venetian Masterpieces tour, we complete the program and return to our hotel in the Venice region for rest and free time.
VENICE – (Ljubljana & Lake Bled Tour) – LJUBLJANA – ISTANBUL
After breakfast and hotel check-out, we depart for Ljubljana Airport for our return flight to Istanbul. En route, guests who wish may join the optional Ljubljana and Lake Bled Tour (65 Euro). We first take our Ljubljana city tour. Ljubljana, the capital and largest city of Slovenia, is located at the crossroads of Alpine, Central European, and Mediterranean cultures, making it exceptionally rich in cultural and architectural terms. During our tour in Ljubljana, Vodnik Square, Ljubljana Castle, St. Nicholas Cathedral, Dragon Bridge, Old Square, the Historic Fountain, and People’s Square are among the sights to be seen. After a short free time following the tour, we depart for Bled. We will enjoy a peaceful sightseeing tour of Bled, famous for its emerald green lake with an island in the middle bearing the same name, its island church, and Bled Castle on the high hilltops. After completing our tour, we continue our journey to Ljubljana Airport. Upon arrival at the airport and after completing baggage drop, ticketing, and passport control procedures, we fly to Istanbul on Turkish Airlines’ direct scheduled flight TK1064 at 20:15. Arrival at Istanbul Airport at 23:40 local time and the end of the tour.
