ISTANBUL – LJUBLJANA – TRIESTE – (Ferrara Tour) – FLORENCE
After completing ticketing, baggage drop-off, and passport procedures at Istanbul Airport’s International Terminal by being present 3 hours before the flight, we depart on Turkish Airlines’ direct scheduled flight TK1061 at 07:30 to Ljubljana. Upon arrival at Ljubljana Airport at 08:45 local time, we meet our private coach and depart for Trieste. During our Trieste tour, Piazza Unita Building, San Giusto Basilica, Campo Square, and especially Piazza Unita d’Italia, regarded as one of Italy’s most impressive squares due to its seaside location, elegant and serene grandeur, and the fact that it features both Italian and Central European architecture, are among the main places to be seen. After our tour of Trieste, known as one of the main ports of the Austro-Hungarian Empire for centuries and also the birthplace of the world-famous Illy Coffee due to the spread of coffee beans to Europe largely from here, we will have a short period of free time before continuing to our hotel in the Florence region. On the way, guests who wish may join the optional Ferrara Tour (40 Euro). After this tour, during which we will see, panoramically, the area’s Renaissance-style spaces and architectural structures as well as the old brick houses, churches, monasteries, and the historic Este Castle that bear the traces of the Middle Ages, we continue our journey to Florence. FLORENCE – (Pisa & Cinque Terre Tour by Train)
After breakfast at the hotel, we offer a full day at leisure. During this free time, guests who wish may join the optional Pisa & Cinque Terre Tour by Train (95 Euro). Our first stop on the tour will be Cinque Terre. Cinque Terre consists of villages lined up one after another and connected by walking paths. With its colorful houses and distinctive local flavors, it is located on Italy’s west coast. Due to its culture and historical features, it is included on UNESCO’s World Heritage List and is also protected as a national park. After free time in Cinque Terre, we continue our journey to Pisa. Upon arrival in Pisa, our tour will include the Leaning Tower of Pisa, the Cathedral, the Baptistery, and Miracoli Square. After a short free period for photos, transfer to our hotel in the Florence region and free time for rest.
FLORENCE – (San Gimignano & Siena Tour) – ROME
After breakfast and hotel check-out, we depart for Rome. On the way, guests who wish may join the optional San Gimignano & Siena Tour (80 Euro). Our first stop will be San Gimignano. San Gimignano, which has preserved its medieval architecture and appearance to the present day and has earned a place on the UNESCO World Cultural Heritage List, is also known as the “Town of Beautiful Towers” thanks to the 14 architectural marvel towers that survived among the 76 towers remaining after wars and natural disasters. In San Gimignano, where time seems to stand still and visitors feel as if they have traveled back to the Middle Ages, we will take a walking tour through its narrow streets, each opening onto the town square, and panoramically view the 14 magnificent towers from the squares. After the tour, we reach Siena, the next stop. Siena is famous for its narrow medieval streets, small avenues, and Campo Square, considered one of the largest squares in Europe. In Siena, we will enjoy a pleasant walk through Campo Square and the historic narrow streets leading to it before continuing our journey to Rome. Upon arrival at our hotel in the Rome region, room assignment and free time for rest.
ROME – (Rome Icons & Vatican and Local Neighborhoods Tour)
After breakfast, we offer a full day at leisure. Guests who wish may join the optional Rome Icons & Vatican and Local Neighborhoods Tour (95 Euro). In Rome, described as Urbs aput mundi, meaning “the city at the center of the world,” we take you on a historical journey through the city and its icons, where art, history, music, shopping, sunshine, and cuisine all meet, along with buildings in various styles stretching from antiquity to the Renaissance. While the masterpieces created by architects competing with one another attract thousands of tourists in every season, Rome is able to host these crowds without overwhelming visitors, with all its beauty and elegance. On our tour, in the imperial city of Rome, which has shaped European civilization and bears witness to 23 centuries of history, we will first see, from the outside, the Colosseum, the symbol of the city and the ancient theater that hosted gladiator fights during the Roman Empire, the Roman Forum, the center of ceremonies in imperial times, the Trevi Fountain, where it is believed that those who throw a coin will return to Rome again, the Spanish Steps famous for street artists, and Piazza Pietra and Piazza Popolo. At the end of the Rome Icons Tour, we will have free time at the Pantheon. We then continue by seeing Castel Sant’Angelo and Navona Square before visiting Vatican / San Pietro, the center of the Catholic branch of Christianity and the smallest country in the world by area. We offer free time in St. Peter’s Square, where thousands of Catholics gather for worship each year and where, on special occasions, the Pope comes out from his office to greet the public, and where St. Peter’s Basilica, the world’s largest cathedral with 140 statues of saints, is located. After the free time provided, we begin our Rome Local Neighborhoods tour. In this tour, where we mingle among the people of Rome and feel like residents of the city, we experience the real Italian atmosphere through the naturalness and simplicity of areas such as Trastevere, Piazza Trilussa, Ponte Sisto, and the Jewish Ghetto, with their cafes, small family-run restaurants, boutiques, greengrocers, butchers, and many other small and charming shops. Among the panoramic sights are the Ancient Tiber Island, connected to the city by two bridges. After our walk through the labyrinth-like back streets lined with small tables, we complete the tour and return to our hotel in the Rome region.
ROME – (Sorrento Tour, Pearl of the Amalfi Coast) – ROME
After breakfast, we offer a full day at leisure. During this time, guests who wish may join the full-day optional Sorrento Tour, Pearl of the Amalfi Coast (95 Euro). Sorrento, whose history dates back to prehistoric times, fascinates visitors by combining Italian character and charm with a Mediterranean style. It is famous for its small tourist boutiques, breathtaking views, stunning beaches, and Limoncello, the Italian lemon liqueur. After our city tour and surrounding sightseeing in Sorrento on the Amalfi coast, we offer free time for sea, sand, and sun on Sorrento’s beautiful beaches. After this enjoyable free time, we complete the tour and return to our hotel in the Rome region.
ROME – FLORENCE – VENICE
After breakfast and hotel check-out, we depart for Florence. Upon arrival in Florence, we begin our city tour. In Florence, the capital of the Renaissance and the hometown of Pinocchio, we first see from the outside the Santa Maria del Fiore Cathedral, which immediately draws attention with its orange dome and is the 4th largest church in Europe. One of the cathedral’s most remarkable features is its bronze door called the “Gate of Paradise,” on which scenes representing prophetic stories mentioned in the Qur’an are also depicted. Next, we see Giotto’s Bell Tower, once used to call the people to parliament, Piazza della Signoria, which was for centuries the political and social center of Florence and where Michelangelo’s famous David statue is located, and the Old Bridge (Ponte Vecchio), famous for its antique and jewelry shops. At the end of the Florence city tour, we head to our hotel in the Venice region. Upon arrival at our Venice area hotel, room assignment and free time for rest.
VENICE – (Venice Masterpieces & Colorful Islands by Boat and Outlet Tour)
After breakfast, during the full day of free time offered, guests who wish may join the optional Venice Masterpieces & Colorful Islands by Boat and Outlet Tour (135 Euro – including vaporetto transport fees). Our tour first offers pleasant free time at the outlet center, home to stylish stores of world-famous brands, cafes and restaurants, and activity areas, for affordable and quality shopping. After the free time, we depart for our Venice Colorful Islands program. On this tour, where we will have the chance to observe Venice from different angles by passing through the lagoons, we will see Lido and Murano islands from the sea and visit Burano Island, a fishing village known as one of the 10 most colorful places in the world and famous for its lace. After the Colorful Islands program, we head to the canal district to carry out our Venice Masterpieces program. In this part of our tour in Venice, we will see the San Marco Square, built of stone and marble with columns brought from Istanbul, San Marco Basilica, the Doge’s Palace designed and used as a symbol of magnificence and power, the Clock Tower, the Bridge of Sighs, and the historic Campanile Bell Tower. VENICE – (Ljubljana & Bled Lake Tour) – LJUBLJANA – ISTANBUL
After breakfast and hotel check-out, we depart for Ljubljana Airport for our return flight to Istanbul. On the way, guests who wish may join the optional Ljubljana and Bled Lake Tour (65 Euro). We first carry out our Ljubljana city tour. In Ljubljana, the capital and largest city of Slovenia, which is also culturally and architecturally very rich thanks to its location at the intersection of Alpine, Central European, and Mediterranean cultures, we will see Vodnik Square, Ljubljana Castle, St. Nicholas Cathedral, Dragon Bridge, Old Square, the Historic Fountain, and People’s Square. After a short free time, we continue to Bled. After a peaceful sightseeing tour of Bled, famous for its emerald-green lake, an island in the middle of the lake bearing the same name, its church, and Bled Castle on the high hills, we continue our journey to Ljubljana Airport. After completing baggage drop-off, ticketing, and passport control, we fly to Istanbul on Turkish Airlines’ direct scheduled flight TK1064 at 20:15. Arrival at Istanbul Airport at 23:40 local time and end of the tour.
