ISTANBUL – LJUBLJANA – TRIESTE – (Ferrara Tour) – FLORENCE
We meet at Istanbul Airport International Departures Terminal 3 hours before the flight and complete check-in, baggage drop-off, and passport procedures, after which we fly to Ljubljana at 07:30 on Turkish Airlines’ direct scheduled flight TK1061. Upon arrival at Ljubljana Airport at 08:45 local time, we depart for Trieste by our private coach. During our Trieste tour, the main places to be seen include Piazza Unita Building, San Giusto Basilica, Campo Square, and especially Piazza Unita d’Italia, which is considered one of Italy’s most impressive squares due to its seaside location, elegant and calm grandeur, and the fact that it combines both Italian and Central European architecture. After our tour in Trieste, which is known worldwide as the birthplace of Illy Coffee because it was for centuries one of the main ports of the Austro-Hungarian Empire and coffee beans spread to Europe largely from here, we continue to our hotel in the Florence region after a short free time. On the way, guests who wish may join the optional Ferrara Tour (40 Euro). After our tour, during which we can see panoramically the areas and architectural structures unique to the Renaissance as well as the old brick houses, churches, monasteries, and the historic Este Castle that bear traces of the Middle Ages, we continue our journey to Florence. FLORENCE – (Pisa & Train to Cinque Terre Tour)
After breakfast at the hotel, we offer a full day at leisure. During this free time, guests who wish may join the optional Pisa & Train to Cinque Terre Tour (95 Euro). Our first stop on the tour will be Cinque Terre. Cinque Terre consists of villages lined up one after another, connected by walking paths. With its colorful houses and distinctive local flavors, it is located on the west coast of Italy. Thanks to its cultural and historical characteristics, it is on UNESCO’s World Heritage List and is also protected as a national park. After the free time in Cinque Terre, we continue our journey to Pisa. Upon arrival in Pisa, our tour will include the Leaning Tower of Pisa, the Cathedral, the Baptistery, and Miracles Square (Piazza dei Miracoli). After a short free time for photos, transfer to our hotel in the Florence region and free time for rest.
FLORENCE – (San Gimignano & Siena Tour) – ROME
After breakfast and hotel check-out, we depart for Rome. On the way, guests who wish may join the optional San Gimignano & Siena Tour (80 Euro). Our first stop on the tour will be San Gimignano. San Gimignano has earned its place on the UNESCO World Heritage List thanks to preserving its medieval architecture and appearance to this day, and it is also known as the “Town of Beautiful Towers” due to the 14 architectural marvel towers that survived from 76 towers following wars and natural disasters. In San Gimignano, where time seems to have stopped and visitors feel as if they are taking a journey back to the Middle Ages, we will have a sightseeing walk through its narrow streets, each opening onto the town square, and its squares where the 14 magnificent towers can be seen panoramically. Afterward, we reach Siena, our next stop. Siena is famous for its narrow medieval streets, small avenues, and Campo Square, considered one of the largest squares in Europe. After an enjoyable walk in Siena through Campo Square and the historic narrow streets leading to it, we complete our tour and continue our journey to Rome. Upon arrival at our hotel in the Rome region, room check-in and free time for rest.
ROME – (Rome Icons & Vatican and Local Neighborhoods Tour)
After breakfast at the hotel, we offer a full day at leisure. Guests who wish may join the optional Rome Icons & Vatican and Local Neighborhoods Tour (95 Euro). In Rome—known as Urbs aput mundi, meaning “the city at the center of the world”—we take you on a historical journey through this city of art, history, music, shopping, sunshine, and cuisine, with buildings in different styles stretching from antiquity to the Renaissance. While the masterpieces created by architects competing with one another attract thousands of tourists in every season, Rome welcomes these crowds with all its beauty and elegance without overwhelming them. On our tour, in the imperial city of Rome, which has shaped European civilization and bears witness to 23 centuries of history, we first see the Colosseum, the symbol of the city and the ancient amphitheater that hosted gladiator fights during the Roman Empire; the Roman Forum, the ceremonial center of the city in imperial times; the Trevi Fountain, where legend says that whoever throws a coin in will return to Rome; the Spanish Steps, famous for street performers; and Piazza Pietra and Piazza Popolo, all panoramically. At the end of the Rome Icons Tour, we offer free time at the Pantheon. Then we visit Castel Sant’Angelo and Navona Square, and continue to the Vatican / San Pietro, the center of the Catholic branch of Christianity and the world’s smallest country by area. We offer free time in St. Peter’s Square (Aziz Petrus Square), where thousands of Catholics gather for worship each year and where the Pope greets the public from his office on special occasions, and where the San Pietro Cathedral, the world’s largest cathedral with 140 statues of saints, is located. After the free time, we begin our Rome Local Neighborhoods tour. In this tour, where we mingle with the people of Rome and feel like one of the city’s residents, we experience the true Italian atmosphere in Trastevere, Piazza Trilussa, Ponte Sisto, and the Ghetto area, with its natural simplicity as well as cafes, small family-run restaurants, boutiques, greengrocers, butchers, and many other small and charming shops, along with Antica Tiber Island, which is connected to the city by two bridges, seen panoramically. After a walk through the labyrinth-like narrow back streets with small tables set out, we conclude our tour and return to our hotel in the Rome region.
ROME – (Amalfi Pearl Sorrento Tour) – ROME
After breakfast at the hotel, we offer a full day at leisure. During this free time, guests who wish may join the full-day optional Amalfi Pearl Sorrento Tour (95 Euro). Sorrento, whose history dates back to prehistoric times and captivates visitors by combining Italian character and charm with a Mediterranean style, is famous for its small tourist boutiques, breathtaking beaches, stunning views, and the Italian lemon liqueur Limoncello. After our city tour and sightseeing in Sorrento on the Amalfi coast, we offer free time for sea, sand, and sun on the region’s beautiful beaches. After this enjoyable free time, we complete our tour and return to our hotel in the Rome region.
ROME – FLORENCE – VENICE
After breakfast and hotel check-out, we depart for Florence. Upon arrival in Florence, we begin our city tour. In Florence, the capital of the Renaissance and the birthplace of Pinocchio, we first see from the outside the Santa Maria del Fiore Cathedral, which immediately stands out with its orange dome and is the 4th largest church in Europe. One of the cathedral’s most striking features is the bronze door called the “Gate of Paradise,” on which the stories of prophets, some of whom are also mentioned in the Qur’an, are depicted. Then we will see Giotto’s Bell Tower, once used to summon the people to parliament; Piazza della Signoria, the political and social center of Florence for centuries and home to Michelangelo’s famous David statue; and the Old Bridge (Ponte Vecchio), famous for its antique and jewelry shops. At the end of the Florence city tour, we head to our hotel in the Venice region. Upon arrival at our hotel in the Venice region, room check-in and free time for rest.
VENICE – (Venice Masterpieces & Colorful Islands by Boat and Outlet Tour)
After breakfast at the hotel, during the full day at leisure, guests who wish may join the optional Venice Masterpieces & Colorful Islands by Boat and Outlet Tour (135 Euro – including vaporetto transportation fees). On our tour, we first offer pleasant free time at the outlet center, home to world-famous brands’ stylish stores, cafes and restaurants, and areas for personal activities, for affordable and quality shopping. After the free time, we depart for our Venice Colorful Islands program. On this tour, where we have the chance to observe Venice from different angles by passing through the lagoons, we will see Lido and Murano islands from the sea and visit Burano Island, a fishing village famous for its lace and known as one of the 10 most colorful places in the world. After the Colorful Islands program, we head to the canals area to carry out our Venice Masterpieces program. In this part of our tour in Venice, we will see iconic structures such as St. Mark’s Square, built from stone and marble with its columns brought from Istanbul; St. Mark’s Basilica; the Doge’s Palace, designed and used as a symbol of magnificence and power; the Clock Tower; the Bridge of Sighs; and the historic Campanile Bell Tower, followed by a pleasant walking tour through Venice’s streets connected by bridges and extending along narrow canals. After Venice Masterpieces, we complete our tour and return to our hotel in the Venice region for rest and free time.
VENICE – (Ljubljana & Lake Bled Tour) – LJUBLJANA – ISTANBUL
After breakfast and hotel check-out, we head to Ljubljana Airport for our return flight to Istanbul. On the way, guests who wish may join the optional Ljubljana and Lake Bled Tour (65 Euro). On our tour, we first conduct a city tour of Ljubljana. Ljubljana, the capital and largest city of Slovenia, is also culturally and architecturally rich due to its location at the intersection of Alpine, Central European, and Mediterranean cultures. During our tour in Ljubljana, Vodnik Square, Ljubljana Castle, St. Nicholas Cathedral, Dragon Bridge, Old Square, the Historic Fountain, and People’s Square will be among the places to see. After a short free time following the tour, we head to Bled. We will enjoy a peaceful sightseeing tour of Bled, which is built on an island in a turquoise-green mountain lake of the same name and is famous for its church on the island and the Bled Castle on the high hills. After completing our tour, we continue our journey to Ljubljana Airport. Upon arrival at the airport, after baggage drop-off, ticket, and passport control procedures, we fly to Istanbul at 20:15 on Turkish Airlines’ direct scheduled flight TK1064. Arrival at Istanbul Airport at 23:40 local time and end of the tour.
