ISTANBUL – BOLOGNA – (Siena Tour) – ROME
After arriving at Sabiha Gökçen Airport International Terminal 3 hours before our flight and completing ticketing, baggage drop, and passport procedures, we fly to Bologna at 12:40 on Pegasus Airlines scheduled flight PC1217. Upon arrival in Bologna at 14:20 local time, we meet our private coach and head to our hotel in the Rome region. En route, guests who wish may join the optional Siena Tour (50 Euro). Siena is famous for its narrow streets dating back to the Middle Ages, its small lanes, and Campo Square, considered one of Europe’s largest squares. After enjoying a pleasant walk in Siena through Campo Square and the historic narrow streets leading to it, we continue our journey to our hotel in the Rome region. Upon arrival at the hotel, room check-in and free time to rest.
ROME – (Rome Icons & Nemi Strawberry Village Tour) – (Vatican and Rome Local Neighborhoods Tour)
After breakfast, we offer a full day at leisure. Guests who wish may join the optional Rome Icons & Nemi Strawberry Village Tour (85 Euro). Our first stop on this tour is Nemi. Known for its wild strawberries and therefore called the “Strawberry Village,” Nemi hosts an annual strawberry festival. After a sightseeing walk in Nemi, where narrow streets open onto squares and the enchanting lake and valley views blend with the scent of strawberries in the air, we continue on a historic journey through Rome and its icons, a city described as Urbs caput mundi, meaning “the center of the world.” Rome welcomes you with art, history, music, shopping, sunshine, and cuisine, and its buildings in various styles ranging from antiquity to the Renaissance. While the masterpieces created by competing architects attract thousands of tourists in every season, Rome carries these crowds with all its beauty and elegance without overwhelming anyone. On our tour, in the imperial city of Rome, which has witnessed 23 centuries of history and shaped European civilization, we will first see the Colosseum, the city’s symbol and the ancient theater that hosted gladiator fights during the Roman Empire, the Roman Forum, the center of ceremonies in imperial times, the Trevi Fountain, into which, according to legend, those who throw a coin will return to Rome, the Spanish Steps known for street performers, Piazza Pietra, and Piazza Popolo panoramically. At the end of the tour, we offer free time in Pantheon in central Rome. During this free time, guests who wish may join the optional Vatican and Rome Local Neighborhoods Tour (65 Euro). Beginning with a view of Castel Sant’Angelo and Piazza Navona, we visit Vatican City / San Pietro, the center of the Catholic branch of Christianity and the smallest country in the world by area. We offer free time at San Pietro Square (St. Peter’s Square), where thousands of Catholics come to worship every year and gather on special days, when the Pope comes out from his residence to greet the public, and where St. Peter’s Basilica, the largest cathedral in the world with 140 saints’ statues, is located. After the free time, we begin our Rome local neighborhoods tour. In this tour, where we mingle with the people of Rome and feel like local residents, we experience the true Italian atmosphere in Trastevere, Piazza Trilussa, Ponte Sisto, and the Ghetto district, as well as the ancient Tiber Island, connected to the city by two bridges, with its natural charm and simplicity, cafes, small family restaurants, boutiques, greengrocers, butchers, and many other small and charming shops. After a walk through the winding backstreets with small tables set out, we complete the tour and return to our hotel in the Rome region.
ROME – (Naples Tour) – (Amalfi Pearl Sorrento or Lunch Included Pompeii Tour) – ROME
After breakfast, we offer a full day at leisure. Guests who wish may join the optional Naples Tour (40 Euro). Upon arrival in Naples, our tour includes Castel Nuovo, Palazzo Reale di Napoli, Galleria Umberto, Teatro di San Carlo, Via Toledo, Piazza del Plebiscito, and Basilica Reale Pontificia San Francesco da Paola. After the Naples tour, during the free time offered, guests who wish may join the optional Lunch Included Pompeii Tour (80 Euro). Starting with lunch at a local restaurant, this tour takes us to Pompeii, which lies at the foot of Mount Vesuvius, whose eruption in 79 AD destroyed the city. After long excavations by archaeologists in 1748, the city was uncovered in all its vitality. We complete our tour with a visit to the ancient city of Pompeii.
Alternatively, guests who wish may join the optional Amalfi Pearl Sorrento Tour (80 Euro). Sorrento, whose history dates back to prehistoric times, captivates visitors by combining Italian character and charm with a Mediterranean style. Famous for its small tourist boutiques, stunning beaches, breathtaking views, and Limoncello, the Italian lemon liqueur, we enjoy a city tour and sightseeing in Sorrento on the Amalfi coast, followed by free time.
After the tour, we return to our hotel in the Rome region.
ROME – (San Gimignano Tour) – (Florence Masterpieces and Pisa Tour) – FLORENCE
After breakfast and hotel check-out, we head to our hotel in the Florence region. En route, guests who wish may join the optional San Gimignano Tour (50 Euro). San Gimignano, preserved to this day with its medieval architecture and appearance, is listed as a UNESCO World Cultural Heritage Site. Due to the 14 architectural towers that survived out of 76 built, despite wars and natural disasters, it is also known as the “Town of Beautiful Towers.” After a sightseeing walk through San Gimignano’s narrow streets that make visitors feel as though they have traveled back to the Middle Ages, and its squares from which the 14 magnificent towers can be seen panoramically, we continue our journey to our hotel in the Florence region. En route, guests who wish may join the optional Florence Masterpieces and Pisa Tour (95 Euro). First, in Florence, the capital of the Renaissance and the hometown of Pinocchio, we will see the Santa Maria del Fiore Cathedral from the outside, immediately recognizable by its orange-colored dome and the fourth largest church in Europe. One of the cathedral’s most notable features is the bronze door known as the “Gates of Paradise,” on which the stories of prophets mentioned in the Quran are also depicted as symbolic representations. Later, Giotto’s Bell Tower, once used to summon the public to parliament, Signoria Square, the political and social center of Florence for centuries and home to Michelangelo’s famous statue of David, and the Old Bridge (Ponte Vecchio), famous for its antique and jewelry shops, are among the places to be seen. After the Florence Masterpieces tour, our next stop is Pisa. Upon arrival in Pisa, we visit the Leaning Tower of Pisa, the Cathedral, the baptistery, and Miracoli Square. FLORENCE – (Cinque Terre Tour by Train) – (Portofino Tour by Boat) – MILAN
After breakfast and hotel check-out, we depart for Milan. En route, guests who wish may join the optional Cinque Terre Tour by Train (65 Euro). Cinque Terre is a region on Italy’s Ligurian coast known for its colorful houses, terraced hillsides running parallel to the coast, and seaside villages. With its narrow streets, coastal views, and preserved architecture, it is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The region offers easy transportation between villages through walking routes and train connections. After a sightseeing walk and tour in one of the five villages that gave Cinque Terre its name, we continue our journey to Milan. En route, guests who wish may join the optional Portofino Tour by Boat (65 Euro). Portofino, surrounded by colorful houses and inspiring songs with its beauty, enchants visitors with its narrow streets, colorful houses, green hills, and turquoise Mediterranean views. After our visit to Portofino, we continue our journey to Milan. Upon arrival at our hotel in the Milan region, room check-in and free time to rest.
MILAN – (Milan Masterpieces and Como Tour) – (Lugano Tour) – (Outlet Tour)
After breakfast, guests who wish may join the optional Milan Masterpieces and Como Tour (95 Euro). Our first stop is Milan. Milan, one of Europe’s fashion capitals, is also distinguished by its cuisine, opera, and churches. Although known as Italy’s business and financial capital, Milan is also the right destination for shopping and dining experiences. During our tour in Milan, the famous opera house La Scala, Duomo Square and Cathedral, and Porta Romano are among the main places to be seen. After the Milan Masterpieces Tour, we arrive in Como. Upon arrival, we visit Lake Como, famous for its luxury lifestyle and natural beauty, home to the summer residences of Hollywood stars, European elites, and the world jet set, and we take a photo break with the lake’s unique view. After free time in Como, guests who wish, and only for those joining the Milan Masterpieces and Como Tour, may participate in the optional Lugano (Switzerland) Tour (45 Euro). On this tour, we take a peaceful walk along the shore of Lake Lugano, located within Switzerland, and enjoy the unique scenery and beautiful nature while photographing the wonderful landscapes that will charm us. After the tour, we begin our return journey to our hotel in the Milan region. En route, guests who wish may join the optional Outlet Tour (35 Euro). MILAN – (Verona Tour) – VENICE – (Venice Masterpieces and Colorful Islands Tour by Boat)
After breakfast and hotel check-out, we depart for our hotel in the Venice region. En route, guests who wish may join the optional Verona Tour (50 Euro). Verona, listed as a UNESCO World Cultural Heritage Site, is also home to Italy’s second largest amphitheater after the Colosseum, and to the house of the world-famous love story Romeo and Juliet, written by the famous English writer Shakespeare. After our panoramic walking tour through Via Mazzini (main square) and Erbe Square, surrounded by many shops, cafes, and stores, and after seeing Verona Cathedral, we complete our tour and continue to our hotel in the Venice region. En route, guests who wish may join the optional Venice Masterpieces and Colorful Islands Tour by Boat (125 Euro – Vaporetto transport fees included). In the first part of our tour in Venice, we will see the San Marco Square, built of stone and marble with columns brought from Istanbul, San Marco Basilica, the Doge’s Palace designed and used as a symbol of magnificence and power, the Clock Tower, the Bridge of Sighs, and the iconic Campanile Bell Tower, followed by a pleasant walk through the bridges and narrow canals of Venice streets. In the continuation of our tour, we organize our Colorful Islands program. In this tour, where we have the chance to observe Venice Island from different angles by passing through the lagoons, we will see Lido and Murano islands from the sea and visit Burano Island, known as one of the 10 most colorful places in the world and famous for its lace-making fishing village. VENICE – BOLOGNA – ISTANBUL
After breakfast and hotel check-out, at the time indicated by our guide, we depart for Bologna Airport for our flight to Istanbul. Upon arrival at the airport, after completing baggage drop, ticketing, and passport control procedures, we fly to Istanbul at 15:25 on Pegasus Airlines scheduled flight PC1218. Arrival at Istanbul Sabiha Gökçen Airport at 18:55 local time and end of the tour.
