We meet 3 hours before the flight at the SunExpress Airlines counter at Izmir Adnan Menderes Airport International Departure terminal. After completing luggage, ticket, and passport procedures, we depart for Zurich at 12:00 on flight XQ 960 of SunExpress Airlines. Upon arrival in Zurich at 14:05 local time, we head to the famous Luzern with a beautiful view of the lake and mountains, where we will walk over the Chapel Bridge, the most recognized structure of Luzern, and examine the historical paintings within the bridge.
Then we visit the impressive Lion Monument (Löwendenkmal) dedicated to Swiss soldiers who lost their lives during the French invasion. We take a short walk and photo break in the old town area reflecting the city’s historical texture. Additionally, the guests who wish can shop at the stores and watch outlets selling Swiss watch brands in Luzern. After free time, we proceed to Zurich, the largest city in Switzerland, the financial and cultural capital. After arriving in the city, we start our panoramic tour. During our tour, we see the city's iconic structures such as the Grossmünster Church, the famous Fraumünster Church with its Marc Chagall stained glass, and the famous Bahnhofstrasse Street where the heart of the city beats. This street is filled with luxurious stores, cafes, and boutiques, making it one of the most prestigious shopping spots in Europe. We have an enjoyable walk here led by our guide. After our tour, we transfer to our hotel in Zurich in the evening.
Day 2 ZURICH- SCHAFFHAUSEN RHINE FALLS-FREIBURG- STRASBOURG
Our first stop on the tour is Rhine Falls. After a stunning walk around Europe’s largest waterfall, which is 150 meters wide and 23 meters high, we head to Freiburg. Freiburg, repeatedly named the most livable city in Germany, is a charming town located in southern Germany that is synonymous with greenery. Known as the capital of the Black Forest, this city plays a role model in environmentalism today.
During our city tour, places to be visited include Freiburg Cathedral (Münster), Markthalle (Covered Market), Münsterplatz (Grand Square), Rathausplatz, Kaiser Joseph Street, Augustiner Platz, Adelhauser Platz, and Gerberau. After our tour, we transfer to Strasbourg. Strasbourg, which has historical importance as the place where the French national anthem “La Marseillaise” was written, appears as a city where Alsace culture is blended with French architecture. We will tour the Notre-Dame de Strasbourg Cathedral, which until 1874 was the tallest building in the world, Rohan Palace, Kleber Square, and the Petite France area adorned with traditional Alsace Houses. Following our tour, we transfer to our hotel in Strasbourg.
Day 3 STRASBOURG– RIQUEWIHR – KAYSERSBERG – EGUISHEIM – COLMAR – STRASBOURG
Our first stop on the tour is Riquewihr, known as the most famous village in Alsace… With a harmonious blend of wooden and concrete two-story houses of different colors and shapes, this lovely town, inhabited by 1200 people, is visited by 2 million people annually. You will not get enough of taking photos in this wonderful city where history, culture, and nature are intertwined.
Our next destination is Kaysersberg, which has been German territory for more than 50 years and is well-known for its wine production and renowned vineyard areas. On our tour, we will see the Renaissance-style wooden houses and Kaysersberg Castle. Our next stop is Eguisheim, one of the charming towns of Alsace. As you stroll through its narrow charming streets, and among the beautifully colored houses with wooden windows and balconies adorned with geraniums, you will start to get lost in the stories of the past. Since 2003, Eguisheim has been a member of the “Most Beautiful Village in France” club and was chosen as “Favorite Village of the French” in 2013. After our tour of Eguisheim, we head to Colmar. Colmar, one of the captivating cities with its colorful houses, flower-adorned streets, and beauty, holds great importance as the starting point of the Alsace Wine Route. The beauty of Colmar is enhanced with canals that are branches of the Rhine River. The colorful historical buildings dating back to the 1200s lined along the river are the most distinctive and noteworthy features of the city. During our tour of Colmar, we explore its carnival atmosphere streets, visit the St. Martin Cathedral with its large stork nests, Rue Marchand (Merchant Street), and the area known as “Little Venice.” After our tour, we transfer to our hotel in Strasbourg.
Day 4 STRASBOURG – HEIDELBERG – METZINGEN (OUTLET) – STUTTGART
Our first stop will be the city of Heidelberg. No, all German cities do not look alike. If you want to see a true German city, Heidelberg will greet you with its harmony of architecture and nature, which is where Hegel roamed deep in thought and Goethe called the ideal city, a calm, stylish, neat, and profound city. Upon arrival, we will have a tour where we will see Hauptstrasse, Market Square (Marktplatz), Old Bridge, and Heidelberg Castle (from the outside). Our second stop is Metzingen outlet, one of the most famous outlets in Germany. After our shopping, we transfer to our hotel in Stuttgart.
Day 5 STUTTGART – İZMİR
After breakfast, we check out of the rooms and set off for the Stuttgart city tour. Stuttgart, located in the Neckar Valley, is the capital of Baden-Württemberg and has been an important political place where counts and later Württemberg kings resided for hundreds of years, until the 19th century. This has led to the city being filled with government buildings, palaces, and museums. Afterward, we transfer to the airport for our return flight, completing luggage and ticketing procedures, and now depart for İzmir at 14:45 on flight XQ973 of SunExpress Airlines. Arrival in İzmir is at 18:35 local time. With our arrival, our tour concludes. We hope to see you on our next trip.
