Day 1 ISTANBUL – ZURICH – LUCERNE–ZURICH
Meeting at the Turkish Airlines counter 3 hours before the flight at Istanbul Airport International Departure terminal. After handling luggage, ticket, and passport procedures, departure for Zurich with Turkish Airlines flight TK 1913 at 12:05. Arrival in Zurich at local time 14:05 and the panoramic Zurich city tour starts with our vehicle waiting at the airport. Located by Lake Zurich at the foothills of the Alps, Zurich hosts millions of tourists every year with its historical past and culture. The city’s name comes from Turus, dating back to the Neolithic and Bronze Age. Under Roman occupation in the 2nd century AD, the city was named Turicum. When translated into Swiss German, this name is read as "Zuri". According to the latest data, Zurich is considered the most livable city in Europe and is also referred to as the cultural capital of Switzerland. Upon our arrival, we will see Grossmünster, Fraumünster Churches and St. Peterskirche church, which is the largest clock tower in Europe, and then tour Bahnhofstrasse, the shopping center of the city. After the tour, we move to Lucerne. Alexandre Dumas once stated, "If Switzerland is an oyster, Lucerne is the pearl inside it." A visit to Lucerne is enough to verify this. Our first stop in Lucerne is the Chapel Bridge (Kapellbrücke), the oldest wooden bridge in Europe, built in 1333. This bridge is located over the Reuss River and shows much more than just Lucerne's history through its features. One of its most important characteristics is the paintings on the roof telling the story of Lucerne. Our second stop is the Lion Monument, one of the most impressive points of the city. This sculpture was made in memory of 800 Swiss soldiers who died protecting King Louis, depicting a mournful lion carved into a massive rock. Described by Mark Twain as "the most moving and mournful stone mass in the world," this statue deeply impresses visitors. After some free time, we will transfer to our hotel in Zurich..
Day 2 ZURICH- SCHAFFHAUSEN RHINE FALLS-FREIBURG- STRASBOURG
Our first stop on this tour is the Rhine Falls. With a width of 150 meters and a height of 23 meters, this is the largest waterfall in Europe. After a walk around the stunning sound of the water, we will head to Freiburg. Freiburg, often chosen as the most livable city in Germany, is a charming town in the south of Germany, synonymous with greenery and also known as the capital of the Black Forest.During our city tour, the Freiburg Cathedral (Münster), Markthalle (Covered Market), Münsterplatz (Grand Square), Rathausplatz, Kaiser Joseph Street, Augustiner Platz, Adelhauser Platz, Gerberau will be seen. After our tour, we will move to Strasbourg. Known for being the place where the French National Anthem "La Marseillaise" was written, Strasbourg combines Alsace culture with French architecture. We will explore the Notre-Dame de Strasbourg Cathedral, which held the title of the tallest building in the world until 1874, Rohan Palace, Kleber Square and the Petit France area adorned with traditional Alsatian houses. After the tour, we will transfer to our hotel in Strasbourg.
Day 3 STRASBOURG– KAYSERSBERG – EGUISHEIM – COLMAR – RIQUEWIHR – STRASBOURG
Our first stop on the tour is Kaysersberg, known for its excellent wine production and located on German soil for over 50 years. We will explore Renaissance-era wooden houses and Kaysersberg Castle. Our next stop is Eguisheim, one of the charming villages of Alsace. While wandering through its narrow, beautiful streets, lined with houses adorned with colorful geraniums hanging from wooden windows and balconies, you will begin to lose yourself in stories from the past. Since 2003, Eguisheim has been a member of the "Most Beautiful Villages in France" club and was chosen as "Favorite Village of the French" in 2013. After visiting Eguisheim, we will move to Colmar, one of the most beautiful cities with colorful houses, flower-adorned streets, and significant beauty, serving as the starting point of the Alsace Wine Route. The canals, which add beauty to Colmar, are tributaries of the Rhine River. The historic buildings along the river, dating back to the 1200s, are the most notable feature of the city. During our Colmar tour, we will explore streets that feel like a carnival, including St. Martin Cathedral, Rue Marchand (Merchant Street), and the area known as "Petite Venise" (Little Venice). Our last stop on the tour is Riquewihr, known as the most famous village in Alsace... The harmony of the two-story houses made of wood and concrete, their different colors and designs, make this lovely town, home to 1,200 people, a destination for 2 million visitors each year. In this wonderful city, where history, culture, and nature are intertwined, you won’t get enough of taking photos. After the tour, we will transfer to our hotel in Strasbourg.
Day 4 STRASBOURG – HEIDELBERG- METZINGEN (OUTLET) – STUTTGART
Our first stop will be Heidelberg city. No, not all German cities resemble each other. If you want to see a real German city, Heidelberg, where Hegel wandered in thought and which Goethe called the ideal city, will greet you with its harmony of architecture and nature. Upon arrival, our tour will include Hauptstrasse, Marktplatz Square, the Old Bridge, and Heidelberg Castle (from the outside). Our next stop is Metzingen outlet, one of the most famous outlets in Germany. After shopping, we will transfer to our hotel in Stuttgart.
Day 5 STUTTGART – ISTANBUL
After breakfast, check out from the rooms and set off for Stuttgart city tour. Stuttgart in the Neckar Valley is the capital of Baden-Württemberg. Until the 19th century, it was a significant political place where counts and later the kings of Württemberg resided for hundreds of years. This led to the city being filled with government buildings, palaces, and museums. Afterwards, transfer to the airport for the flight home. After completing baggage and ticket procedures, we take flight TK 1706 at 18:35 with Turkish Airlines to Istanbul. Arrival in Istanbul at 22:35 local time. With our arrival, our tour ends.
