Meet at the Turkish Airlines counter in the Departure Terminal of Istanbul Airport 3 hours before the flight. After completing the baggage, ticket, and passport procedures, we take Turkish Airlines flight TK1587 departing at 07:45 to Frankfurt. Arriving in Frankfurt at local time 10:00, we start our panoramic city tour in Frankfurt, where modern skyscrapers merge with historical buildings. Visiting Römer Square, we enjoy our guide's narration while learning about the medieval buildings and the Old Town Hall. We also hear the stories of Goethe's House and Alte Oper.
Continuing the tour, we reach the village of Rüdesheim, located in the heart of the UNESCO World Heritage-listed Rhine Wine Route. Surrounded by vineyards, this area has been known for wine production since the 15th century. We stroll along Drosselgasse Street, taking photo breaks in the narrow streets lined with half-timbered houses. Guests who wish can taste the internationally renowned Riesling and Spätburgunder wines in the historical wine cellars and discover the region's local delicacies. Afterwards, we ascend to the Niederwald Monument located above the village to enjoy the panoramic views of the Rhine River. This majestic monument, adorned with sculptures, was built in the 19th century to immortalize the victory of the Franco-Prussian War as a symbol of Germany's unity.
Then we head to romantic Heidelberg on the banks of the Neckar River. On a guided tour, we see Heidelberg Castle from the outside and admire the river view from the historic stone bridge. As we walk through Marktplatz Square and Hauptstraße, we witness the city’s rich history. While traversing the streets of Heidelberg, described by Goethe as the "ideal city," we pass through University Square and listen to the story of Germany's oldest university. After learning about the defense history behind the stone towers of the Old Bridge, we provide free time for you to enjoy the charming atmosphere of Heidelberg. Later, we transfer to our hotel in Mannheim for accommodation.
Day 2 HISTORY, SHOPPING, AND FAIRYTALE ALSACE ATMOSPHERE IN STRASBOURG (ROPPENHEIM – STRASBOURG)
After breakfast, our first stop is Roppenheim Outlet, home to world-famous brands. You will have a chance to enjoy some pleasant shopping during the free time we will provide here.
After the shopping break, we travel to Strasbourg. Upon arrival, we start our panoramic city tour. Throughout history, Strasbourg has changed hands between Germany and France many times, so it has a unique identity that blends the influences of both cultures. You can feel this synthesis in every detail, from the region's cuisine to its architecture.
During our tour, we explore the Grande Île area, which is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Here, the gothic masterpiece Notre-Dame Cathedral, the fairytale-like neighborhood of Petite France surrounded by canals, and Kleber Square are among the places to see. The Petite France area is famous for its colorful half-timbered houses. These structures represent the finest examples of Alsatian architecture known as “colombage”. With red tile roofs and intricate details, they offer a complete medieval atmosphere.
In the Alsace region, a dialect known as Alsatian, rooted in German, was spoken for many years, while today the majority of the population uses French. However, you can still see the German influence in the signs and village names.
After our panoramic tour, you will have free time to explore the lively streets of the city on your own. During this time, guests who wish can taste the delicacies of Alsatian cuisine or purchase souvenirs from traditional shops.
At the end of the day, we transfer to our hotel in Strasbourg.
Day 3 ALSACE WINE ROAD AND FAIRYTALE VILLAGES (RIQUEWIR – KAYSERSBERG – EGUISHEIM – COLMAR)
After breakfast, we set out to explore the fairytale villages along the Alsace Wine Route. Our route includes a panoramic view of the majestic Haut-Koenigsbourg Castle, which rises majestically on the slopes of the Vosges Mountains, where our guide informs us about the castle's history and siege stories.
Our next stop is Riquewihr. Here we have the opportunity to explore its 13th-century walls, cobblestone streets, and wine cellars. In the village square, we learn about Alsatian viticulture and the famous Alsace wines.
Continuing our tour, we visit Kaysersberg. We listen to the story of the house where Nobel Peace Prize laureate Albert Schweitzer was born and take a photo break at the village's historic stone bridge.
After Kaysersberg, we go to Eguisheim, one of the most beautiful villages in Alsace. Here, we take a short walk through its circularly planned narrow streets filled with colorful half-timbered houses adorned with flowers while seeing the historic fountain and castle remains in the square. We listen to our guide as they narrate the story of Eguisheim from the Middle Ages to the present.
In the afternoon, we reach Colmar. Here, we stroll along the canals of the postcard-like Petite Venise region and have the opportunity to see the stunning Gothic architecture of St. Martin Church. Our guide shares the biography of Frédéric Auguste Bartholdi, the sculptor of the Statue of Liberty, and we explore the Renaissance façade decorations of the Pfister House. Additionally, the Old Customs House (Koïfhus), the Covered Market (Marché Couvert), and Musée Unterlinden with its rich collections will be among the places we discover with our guide's narration from the outside.
At the end of the tour, we provide free time for shopping and dinner in Colmar city center.
In the evening, we return to Strasbourg and transfer to our hotel.
Day 4 FREIBURG - RHINE FALLS - ZURICH
After breakfast at our hotel in Strasbourg, we leave and head towards Freiburg, bidding farewell to Alsace's elegant architecture. Known as the jewel of the Black Forest, Freiburg is often selected as "the most livable city" in Germany. With its green landscapes, lively streets, and historical structures, Freiburg enchants its visitors. During our city tour, we make a brief stop in front of the magnificent Freiburger Münster (Cathedral), smell the local flavors in Markthalle, and explore the lively square in Münsterplatz and the historic buildings of Rathausplatz. Walking along Kaiser Joseph Street, we see how the modern and historical fabric of the city interweaves, enjoying a pleasant walk among the colorful houses in Augustiner Platz, Adelhauser Platz, and Gerberau.
Next, we cross into Switzerland and reach one of nature's most powerful displays, the Rhine Falls near Schaffhausen. With a width of 150 meters and a height of 23 meters, this natural wonder is the largest waterfall in Europe, offering breathtaking views created by the roaring waters. During our walk around the waterfall, we take photo breaks, and guests who wish can purchase tickets for an exciting boat tour that takes them to the heart of the falls.
Continuing our journey, we move towards Zurich, the elegant capital of Switzerland. While strolling along Bahnhofstrasse, one of the world's most prestigious shopping streets, we glance at the windows of famous boutiques and learn about the historic buildings on both sides of the Limmat River through our guide's narration. We see the Chagall stained glass in the Fraumünster Church, the impressive towers of the Grossmünster, and walk through the cobblestone streets of the Old Town, immersing ourselves in Zurich's history from the Middle Ages to present. This tour, blending modern culture with historical heritage, invites you to an unforgettable experience that touches the heart of Switzerland.
After the tour, we transfer to our hotel in Zurich for accommodation.
Day 5 ZURICH – LUCERNE – ZURICH AIRPORT
After breakfast, we place our luggage on the bus and head to Lucerne. Visiting Lucerne is sufficient to confirm Alexandre Dumas' saying that "if Switzerland is an oyster, then Lucerne is its pearl.” Our first stop in Lucerne will be Chapel Bridge (Kapellbrücke), the oldest wooden bridge in Europe, built in 1333 over the Reuss River, which reveals Lucerne's history through much more than just a bridge. One of the key features that makes the bridge unique is the hanging paintings that illustrate Lucerne's history along its length. Our second stop will be the Lion Monument, one of the city's most impressive sites. Carved into a massive rock, this statue depicts a grieving lion, created in memory of 800 Swiss soldiers who lost their lives defending King Louis. Referred to by Mark Twain as "the world's most moving and mournful stone", this sculpture deeply impacts visitors. After we provide some free time, we transfer to Zurich Airport. After completing baggage and ticket procedures, we depart for Istanbul on Turkish Airlines flight TK1910 at 18:40.
