İZMİR – BARCELONA Arriving at İzmir Adnan Menderes Airport International Terminal 3 hours before our flight, we complete baggage drop-off, ticketing, and passport control procedures, then fly to Barcelona on SunExpress Airlines’ scheduled direct flight XQ894 at 18:55. Upon arrival at Barcelona Airport at 21:35 local time, we are met by our vehicle and transferred to our hotel. Check-in and free time to rest. BARCELONA – (Barcelona Icons Tour) – (Barcelona Local Neighborhoods Tour) – (Fiesta Barcelona Tour) After breakfast, we offer a full day at leisure. During this free time, guests who wish may join the extra Barcelona Icons Tour (65 Euro). We first ascend Carmel Hill to enjoy the magnificent view of the city and visit Park Güell, designed and built by Antoni Gaudí. With admission included, we will have free time for photos and sightseeing in Park Güell, which was added to the UNESCO World Heritage List in 1984 and enchants visitors with its vibrant colors and nature-inspired forms. We then see Casa Milà, one of Gaudí’s most important contributions to the city’s architecture, and finish with a walk around La Sagrada Familia. After the tour, during free time in the city center, guests may join the extra Barcelona Local Neighborhoods Tour (45 Euro). On this tour, we see Barcelona Cathedral, Paral·lel and the Gothic Quarter, El Born, City Hall, Plaza Real, and the market La Boqueria. Following this, during free time, guests may also join the extra Fiesta Barcelona Tour (55 Euro). In this tour, we visit Poble Espanyol, an open-air museum and festival village built for the 1929 World Exhibition, bringing together typical architectural examples, artisan workshops, art pieces, and traditional cultural elements from different regions of Spain. Poble Espanyol is lively throughout the year with music, dance, street performances, and cultural activities, and offers restaurants and a unique experience where visitors can see characteristic elements from all over Spain. After our visit and the free time that follows, we return to our hotel in the Barcelona region. BARCELONA – (Girona & Figueres & Dali Museum and Outlet Tour) After breakfast, we offer a full day at leisure. During this free time, guests who wish may join the extra Girona & Figueres & Dali Museum and Outlet Tour (95 Euro). Our first stop is Girona, the largest city in Catalonia, which enchants visitors with its museums, galleries, Gothic architecture, and city walls rising around narrow, labyrinthine cobblestone streets. In Girona, we see and photograph the colorful houses lined along the banks of the Onyar River, and walk along Libertat Street in the old town enclosed by walls and closed to traffic, with its maze-like narrow side streets. In this city, where Christians, Catalan Jews, and Muslims lived together throughout history, we conclude our visit with a panoramic view of Girona Cathedral before heading to our next stop, the Dali Museum in Figueres. After a short sightseeing walk in Figueres, where Salvador Dalí was born and designed his museum while still alive in the form of a theater building to house his works, we visit the Dali Museum (admission included in the tour price) and enjoy an art tour with our guide in the museum that houses 4,000 of Dalí’s works. In the final part of the tour, we visit the Outlet Center. At this outlet center, home to many prestigious and famous brands’ stylish shops, cafés and restaurants, and personal activity areas, we will have free time for enjoyable and affordable shopping. After this free time, we complete the tour and return to our hotel in the Barcelona region. BARCELONA – VALENCIA – (Dinner Paella and Valencia Night Tour) After breakfast, we depart for Valencia and upon arrival take our Valencia city tour. In our panoramic city tour, the following will be seen in order: the Gothic Cathedral, Valencia Cathedral, the medieval walls surrounding the old town, Torres de Serranos, Reina Square, the Mauques de dos Aguas Palace, and Town Hall Square. After the tour, we transfer to our hotel in the Valencia region. After check-in and free time to rest, in the evening guests may join the extra Dinner Paella and Valencia Night Tour (65 Euro). On this tour, we explore Valencia, the third largest city in Spain, with its historic and modern architectural features that reflect both the past and the present, under the evening lights. In Valencia, the birthplace of the world-famous paella of Spanish cuisine, after dinner at a local restaurant, we offer free time in the port area and along the famous seaside promenade before returning to our hotel. VALENCIA – GRANADA – (Alhambra Palace) – (Sacromonte & Gypsy Show) After breakfast and check-out, we set off for Granada. Upon arrival, we take a panoramic city tour. Granada, built on the fertile lands at the foot of the Sierra Nevada Mountains, is one of Spain’s most popular tourist cities. Strongly influenced throughout its rich history by the Romans and the Umayyads, and home to the Alhambra Palace, our panoramic tour through the historic Andalusian/Granada streets will include works from the Umayyad and Abbasid periods, the statue of Queen Isabella and Christopher Columbus, Gran Via, La Rambla, and the City Hall Square. After the city tour, during free time, guests may join the extra Alhambra Palace Tour (65 Euro). We visit the Alhambra Palace, one of the most extraordinary legacies not only of Andalusia but of Islamic history as a whole, famous for its Arabesque architecture, pools, and gardens, and listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Admission is included, and the tour is subject to the palace’s availability; the harem section is excluded. After the tour, we transfer to our hotel. Check-in and free time to rest. In the evening, guests may join the extra Sacromonte & Gypsy Show (45 Euro). In Sacromonte, one of Granada’s oldest settlements, located on the opposite slope of the Alhambra with its whitewashed houses, we watch the Gypsy Show on its winding, steep, stair-filled streets, from where the red walls of the Alhambra can be seen and photographed from many points. After the tour, we return to our hotel. GRANADA – MALAGA – (Ronda Tour) – SEVILLE After breakfast and check-out, we travel to Malaga. Upon arrival, we take a panoramic city tour. Malaga, the second most populous city in Andalusia and the sixth most populous in Spain, is located on the Costa del Sol coastline. Thanks to this advantageous location, it is one of the most important holiday routes in the Mediterranean. In Malaga, which is also home to the Picasso Museum, our panoramic city tour will include Malaga Cathedral, commissioned as a sign of the end of Muslim rule and still partially unfinished today, Plaza de la Merced, and Torre de la Vela, one of the city’s symbols. After the Malaga city tour, we continue to Seville. Along the way, guests who wish may join the extra Ronda Tour (50 Euro). Ronda is a town famous for its narrow winding streets, whitewashed houses, and location atop a plateau, divided into two by the El Tajo Canyon. At the bottom of the canyon flows the Guadalevín River, 120 meters below. During the city tour, we will see panoramic views of Puente Nuevo, from where the best views of the river can be photographed, Plaza de Toros, the Old Town, Santa Maria la Mayor Church, and Mondragon Palace. After the tour, we continue our journey to Seville. Upon arrival at our hotel in the Seville region, check-in and free time to rest. SEVILLE – CORDOBA – (Kurtuba Mosque & Cathedral Tour) – SEVILLE After breakfast, we depart for Cordoba. In our panoramic Cordoba city tour, we discover Cordoba, founded during the Roman Empire and the largest city in Europe in the 10th century under Islamic rule. In the city center, which still bears traces of Islamic influence and was added to the UNESCO World Heritage List in 1984, our tour will include the Alcazar de los Reyes Cristianos, Royal Palace, and Roman Bridge as panoramic sights. Following our visit to Cordoba, during the free time we offer, guests may join the extra Kurtuba Mosque & Cathedral Tour (45 Euro). On this tour, we visit the Kurtuba Mosque & Cathedral, with admission included. In terms of size, it is the third largest mosque in Islamic history and one of the two greatest examples of Spain’s Moorish past. This structure, which for centuries shifted between Muslim and Christian use, is today used as a Catholic church. After the tour, we return to Seville and take a city tour. Seville, the most populous and developed city in Andalusia, owes its exotic and rich cultural history to the period of Moorish rule by North African Muslims. We explore Seville among beautiful and magnificent cathedrals, squares, palaces, museums, towers, and churches. During our tour, we see Plaza de España, where some scenes from Star Wars 2 were filmed, Torre del Oro, an octagonal tower originally built for defense and later also used as a prison, Seville Cathedral, the third largest Gothic cathedral in the world and a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1987, Giralda Bell Tower, and Maria Luisa Park. SEVILLE – LISBON – (Lisbon Masterpieces Tour) – (Dinner Included Lisbon Night Tour) – (Fado Show) After breakfast and check-out, we depart for Lisbon. Lisbon, the capital of Portugal and a city on two sides like Istanbul, is also the 6th most visited city in Europe each year. Over the course of history, Lisbon has been ruled by the Phoenicians, Romans, North African Muslims, and eventually the Portuguese, and this long history dating back to 1200 BC has made it home to many historic monuments. During our tour in Lisbon, the historic district with Rossio Square and St. George’s Castle, as well as the Santa Justa Lift, are among the main sights. After the city tour, we offer free time in the city center. Continuing our city tour, we see Belém Tower and the Monument to the Discoveries, built during the Age of Discovery and symbolic of Portugal, with free time for photos. Then we view Avenida da Liberdade, known as Lisbon’s Champs-Élysées, famous for its cafés, quality shops, and restaurants, allowing us to discover the city from different perspectives. In this tour, we first head to the banks of the Tagus River and follow the Cais do Sodré and Ribeira das Naus route panoramically. The illuminated waterfront offers Lisbon’s modern face with a pleasant evening view. The illuminated silhouette of the narrow streets allows us to observe the city’s traditional texture in the evening. Next, we see the evening atmosphere of Praça do Comércio from the outside. The square’s yellow arcades and riverside lighting create one of Lisbon’s most impressive evening views. LISBON – SINTRA – CABO DA ROCA – ESTORIL – CASCAIS – OBIDOS – PORTO – (Porto Masterpieces Tour) After breakfast and check-out, we depart for Obidos. On the way, we carry out our Atlantic Coasts Tour, which includes Sintra, Cabo da Roca, Estoril, and Cascais. Our first stop will be Sintra. Sintra welcomes us with its boutique shops, colorful and ornate houses resembling palaces, and cobblestone streets. However, the main feature that earned it a place on the UNESCO World Heritage List is its architectural monuments and buildings from the Romantic Period. After our walk through Sintra’s palace- and church-lined streets, our next stop is Cabo da Roca, known as “the End of the World” and the westernmost point of the European continent. After a short stop for photos of the ocean and the famous beaches frequented by surfers, we continue our tour with panoramic visits to Cascais, a fishing town, and Estoril, one of Lisbon’s most famous resorts, known for spa and thermal hotels, parks and golf courses, and for being the setting of the casino episodes in the first Bond novel, Casino Royale. It is also known as Lisbon’s backyard. After the tour, we continue our journey to Obidos. In this medieval city, surrounded by walls atop a hill and with cobblestone streets that evoke Renaissance, Baroque, and Gothic architectural features, our visit will include the Roman-origin Obidos Castle, St. John the Baptist Church, and Rua Direita, the main street and one of the most visited spots in town. After the Obidos Tour, we travel to our hotel in the Porto region. Along the way, guests who wish may join the extra Porto Masterpieces Tour (55 Euro). Porto is a historic city in northern Portugal, located on the banks of the Douro River. In our panoramic city tour, we will see the city’s UNESCO-protected historic fabric and iconic structures. We first proceed along Avenida dos Aliados. One of Porto’s widest boulevards, this avenue will be seen panoramically with its granite historic buildings and city hall view. We then see São Bento Railway Station from the outside. The blue-and-white azulejo tiles on the station’s interior walls depict scenes from Portuguese history. On our route, Porto Cathedral (Sé do Porto) will be viewed from the outside. Located on one of the city’s highest points, the cathedral area is one of the stops where we will take a short photo break to capture Porto’s historic center. We then continue panoramically along Ribeira District, known for its narrow streets and traditional houses. Next, UNESCO-listed Luís I Bridge will be seen panoramically. The bridge’s iron structure forms one of the city’s most recognizable silhouettes. From there, we arrive at the area of Clérigos Tower and Livraria Lello; the tower will be seen from the outside and the exterior of Lello can be photographed. We finish the tour by viewing Bolhão Market and the surrounding commercial area. This district, where local products are sold, is one of the places where we can observe Porto’s daily life. After the Porto Masterpieces Tour and a short free time, we arrive at our hotel in the Porto region, check in, and have free time to rest. PORTO – MADRID After breakfast and check-out, we depart for Madrid. The capital of the Kingdom of Spain and also the third largest city in the European Union, Madrid is regarded as the country’s political, economic, and cultural center. During our city tour in Madrid, where statues, monuments, and natural beauty blend with modern architecture, we will see Plaza Mayor, Paseo de la Castellana, the bullring, Gran Via, Plaza de Espana, the Royal Palace, and Puerto de Alcala panoramically. After the city tour, following a short free time, we transfer to our hotel in the Madrid region. Check-in and free time to rest. MADRID – (Toledo Tour) – İZMİR After breakfast and check-out, we depart for Madrid Airport for our return flight to İzmir. Along the way, guests who wish may join the extra Toledo Tour (50 Euro). Upon arrival in Toledo, we take our tour. Founded by Jews in 590 BC and today home to people of three major religions living together in peace, Toledo is one of Spain’s most important cities in historical and touristic terms, and is also known as the “city of knights.” The Tagus River, the largest river on the Iberian Peninsula, flows through the city. Toledo was the capital of the Kingdom of Spain for a long time. As one of the world’s largest medieval cities, it has been included in the UNESCO World Heritage List and protected. Cervantes, the author of Don Quixote, was born in this city. The Toledo Cathedral, whose construction took approximately 270 years, once a mosque and today the third most important cathedral in the world and the main cathedral of Spain, contains some of the world’s most valuable works. Other sights on the tour include San Martin Bridge, Damasquinos (Damascene work), and workshops and shops specializing in gold craftsmanship, which we will see panoramically. After the tour, we continue to Madrid Airport. Upon arrival at the airport, we complete ticketing, baggage drop-off, and passport control procedures, then fly to İzmir on SunExpress Airlines’ scheduled direct flight XQ921 at 19:35.
