IZMIR – BARCELONA After being present at İzmir Adnan Menderes Airport International Departures Terminal 3 hours before our flight time and completing baggage drop-off, ticketing, and passport control procedures, we fly to Barcelona at 18:55 with SunExpress Airlines flight XQ894. Upon arrival at Barcelona Airport at 21:35 local time, we are transferred to our hotel by our waiting vehicle. Room check-in and free time for rest. BARCELONA – (Barcelona Icons Tour) – (Barcelona Local Neighborhoods Tour) – (Fiesta Barcelona Tour) After breakfast, we offer a full day at leisure. During this free time, guests who wish may join our optional Barcelona Icons Tour (65 EUR). Our tour begins with a visit to Park Güell, designed and built by Antoni Gaudí, which we reach by ascending Carmel Hill to enjoy the magnificent city view. “Entrance fee included.” Listed as a UNESCO World Cultural Heritage Site in 1984, Park Güell enchants visitors with its vibrant colors and nature-inspired forms, offering free time for photos and sightseeing. We then continue to Casa Milà, one of Gaudí’s most important contributions to the city’s architecture, and complete our tour with a walk around La Sagrada Familia. At the end of the tour, during the free time in the city center, guests who wish may join the optional Barcelona Local Neighborhoods Tour (45 EUR). This tour includes Barcelona Cathedral, Paral·lel and the Gothic Quarter, El Born, City Hall, Plaza Real, and the La Boqueria market. After this tour and the free time that follows, guests who wish may join the optional Fiesta Barcelona Tour (55 EUR). On this tour, we visit Poble Espanyol, an open-air museum and festival village concept built for the 1929 World Fair, bringing together typical architectural examples, craft workshops, artworks, and traditional cultural elements from different regions of Spain. Poble Espanyol, which is lively throughout the year with music, dance, street performances, and cultural activities, also offers restaurants and a unique experience where visitors can see the characteristic features of all Spain. After our visit and the free time provided, we complete the tour and return to our hotel in the Barcelona area. BARCELONA – (Girona & Figueres & Dalí Museum and Outlet Tour) After breakfast, we offer a full day at leisure. During this free time, guests who wish may join our optional Girona & Figueres & Dalí Museum and Outlet Tour (95 EUR). Our first stop is Girona, the largest city in Catalonia, which fascinates visitors with its museums, galleries, Gothic architectural works, and its walls rising around narrow, labyrinthine cobblestone streets. In Girona, we see and photograph the colorful houses along the Onyar River, which divides the city in two, and walk along Libertat Street, a traffic-free street in the old town surrounded by walls and opening into narrow labyrinth-like streets. In this city, where Christians, Catalan Jews, and Muslims lived together throughout history, we conclude our visit with a panoramic view of Girona Cathedral and continue to our next stop, the Dalí Museum in Figueres. After a brief sightseeing tour in Figueres, the hometown of Salvador Dalí and the place where the museum was designed as a theater building by Dalí himself to house his works while he was still alive, we visit the Dalí Museum “entrance fee included,” and, accompanied by our guide, take an art tour through the museum, which contains 4,000 of Dalí’s works. In the final part of the tour, we visit the Outlet Center. Offering stylish stores of many prestigious and famous brands, as well as cafes, restaurants, and personal activity areas, the outlet center provides free time for pleasant and affordable shopping. After this free time, we complete the tour and return to our hotel in the Barcelona area. BARCELONA – VALENCIA – (Dinner Paella and Valencia Night Tour) After breakfast, we depart for Valencia and upon arrival, we arrange our city tour. On our panoramic city tour, the sights seen in order include the Gothic Cathedral, Valencia Cathedral, Torres de Serranos, the medieval walls surrounding the old city, Reina Square, Marqués de Dos Aguas Palace, and Town Hall Square. After the tour, transfer to our hotel in the Valencia region. Room check-in and free time to rest. On this tour, we discover Valencia, the third largest city in Spain, illuminated at night, with its historical and modern architectural features that captivate visitors. After dinner at a local restaurant, where we enjoy the world-famous Paella, the signature dish of Spanish cuisine, we continue with free time in the port area and along the famous coastline, then return to our hotel. VALENCIA – GRANADA – (Alhambra Palace) – (Sacromonte & Gypsy Show) After breakfast and check-out from the hotel, we depart for Granada. Upon arrival in Granada, we conduct our panoramic city tour. Situated on fertile land at the foot of the Sierra Nevada Mountains, Granada is one of Spain’s most touristic cities. Heavily influenced throughout its rich history by Rome and the Umayyads, the city is home to the Alhambra Palace. On our panoramic tour through the historical Andalusian streets of Granada, among monuments from the Umayyad and Abbasid periods, we see the statue of Queen Isabella and Christopher Columbus, Grand Via, La Rambla, and the Town Hall Square. After the city tour, during the free time provided, guests who wish may join the optional Alhambra Palace Tour (65 EUR). We visit the Alhambra Palace, one of the most extraordinary legacies not only of Andalusia but of all Islamic history, famous for its Arabesque architecture, pools, and gardens, and listed as a UNESCO World Cultural Heritage Site. “Entrance fee included” (subject to availability of the palace and excluding the harem section). At the end of the tour, transfer to our hotel. Room check-in and free time for rest. In the evening, we organize the optional Sacromonte & Gypsy Show (45 EUR). In Sacromonte, one of the oldest settlements of Granada with its whitewashed houses on the opposite slope of the Alhambra, we walk through labyrinth-like, winding, steep, and stair-filled streets where we can watch and photograph the red walls of the Alhambra Palace from every opening. After the show, we return to our hotel. GRANADA – MALAGA – (Ronda Tour) – SEVILLE After breakfast and hotel check-out, we depart for Malaga. Upon arrival in Malaga, we arrange a panoramic city tour. Malaga, the second most populous city in Andalusia and the sixth most populous in Spain, is located on the Costa del Sol coastline. Thanks to this advantageous location, it is one of the major Mediterranean holiday destinations. During our panoramic city tour in Malaga, which is also home to the Picasso Museum, we see Malaga Cathedral, commissioned as a sign of the end of Muslim rule and still partially unfinished, Plaza de la Merced, and Torre de la Vela, the city’s symbol, among the main sights. After the Malaga city tour, we depart for Seville. Along the way, guests who wish may join the optional Ronda Tour (50 EUR). Ronda is famous for its narrow winding streets, whitewashed houses, and its location on a sandstone hill, divided in two by the El Tajo Canyon. At the bottom of the canyon, 120 meters below, flows the Guadalevín River. Among the places we can see on our city tour are Puente Nuevo (New Bridge), from which we can photograph the best views of the river, Plaza de Toros, the Old Town, Santa María la Mayor Church, and Mondragón Palace. At the end of the tour, we continue our journey to Seville. Upon arrival at our hotel in the Seville region, room check-in and free time to rest. SEVILLE – CORDOBA – (Kurtuba Mosque & Cathedral Tour) – SEVILLE After breakfast, we depart for Cordoba. On our panoramic Cordoba city tour, we discover Cordoba, founded during the Roman Empire and, in the 10th century, the largest city in Europe under Islamic rule. In the city center, where we can still see the influence of Islam and which was added to the UNESCO World Cultural Heritage List in 1984, we will see the Alcazar de los Reyes Cristianos, the Royal Palace, and the Roman Bridge as panoramic highlights. After our visit to Cordoba, during the free time provided, guests who wish may join the optional Kurtuba Mosque & Cathedral Tour (45 EUR). On this tour, we visit the Kurtuba Mosque & Cathedral, entrance fee included. In addition to being the third largest mosque in Islamic history by size, it is also one of the greatest examples of Spain’s Moorish past. The structure, which for centuries shifted between Muslim and Christian use, is today used as a Catholic church. At the end of the tour, we return to Seville and conduct our city tour. Seville, the most populous and developed city in Andalusia, owes its exotic and rich cultural history to the period when it was ruled by North African Muslims, the Moors. We explore Seville amid beautiful and magnificent cathedrals, squares, palaces, museums, towers, and churches. During our tour, we see Plaza de España, where some scenes of Star Wars 2 were filmed, the octagonal Torre del Oro (Golden Tower), which was originally built for defense and later also used as a prison, Seville Cathedral, the third largest Gothic cathedral in the world and a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1987, the Giralda Bell Tower, and Maria Luisa Park. SEVILLE – LISBON – (Lisbon Masterpieces Tour) – (Dinner Lisbon Night Tour) – (Fado Show) After breakfast and hotel check-out, we depart for Lisbon. As the capital of Portugal and a city with two sides like Istanbul, Lisbon is also the 6th most visited city in Europe each year. Throughout history, Lisbon was ruled by Phoenicians, Romans, North African Muslims, and ultimately the Portuguese, and with its history dating back to 1200 BC, it is home to many historical landmarks. During our tour in Lisbon, the historic district with Rossio Square and St. George’s Castle, as well as the Santa Justa Elevator, are among the main sights. After the city tour, we provide free time in the city center. Continuing our city tour, we see Belém Tower and the Monument to the Discoveries, built during the Age of Exploration and symbolic for Portugal, with free time for photos. We then pass Avenida da Liberdade, known as Lisbon’s Champs-Élysées, famous for its cafes, high-quality shops, and restaurants, allowing us to discover Lisbon from different perspectives. On this tour, we first head to the banks of the Tagus River, following the Cais do Sodré and Ribeira das Naus line panoramically. The illuminated waterfront presents Lisbon’s modern face in a pleasant evening view. We then panoramically see the outer surroundings of Alfama hills, which are historical but not included in our daytime visit. The illuminated silhouette of its narrow streets allows us to observe the city’s traditional texture in the evening. Next, we panoramically see Praça do Comércio from the outside in its evening ambiance. The square’s yellow arcades and riverside lighting create one of Lisbon’s most impressive nighttime views. After the night tour, we complete the tour with dinner at a local restaurant and provide free time. During this free time, guests who wish may join the optional Fado Show (45 EUR). On this tour, we attend a Fado Show where we listen to Fado music, unique to Portugal and made world-famous by the heartfelt and melancholic laments of sailors’ wives. After the tour, transfer to our hotel in the Lisbon region, room check-in, and free time to rest. LISBON – SINTRA – CABO DA ROCA – ESTORIL – CASCAIS – OBIDOS – PORTO – (Porto Masterpieces Tour) After breakfast and hotel check-out, we depart for Obidos. Along the way, we carry out our Atlantic Coast tour covering Sintra, Cabo da Roca, Estoril, and Cascais. Our first stop is Sintra. Sintra welcomes us with boutique shops, colorful and ornate houses resembling palaces, and cobblestone streets. However, the most important feature that earned it a place on the UNESCO World Heritage List is its Romantic Period architectural monuments and buildings. After our walk through streets and avenues surrounded by palaces and churches in Sintra, our next stop is Cabo da Roca, known as “The End of the World” and the westernmost point of mainland Europe. After a short stop to photograph the ocean and the famous beaches frequented by surfers, we continue our tour with panoramic visits to Cascais, a fishing town, and Estoril, one of Lisbon’s most famous holiday resorts known for its SPA and thermal hotels, parks and golf courses, and also for having Casino Royale’s casino scenes in the first Bond novel, and commonly referred to as Lisbon’s backyard. At the end of the tour, we continue our journey to Obidos. In the medieval town of Obidos, located on a hill and surrounded by walls, where visitors can feel the architectural characteristics of the Renaissance, Baroque, and Gothic periods on its cobblestone streets, our visit includes the Roman-origin Obidos Castle, St. John the Baptist Church, and Rua Direita, the main street that attracts the most visitors. After the Obidos tour, we head to our hotel in the Porto region. Along the way, guests who wish may join the optional Porto Masterpieces Tour (55 EUR). Porto is a historic city located on the banks of the Douro River in northern Portugal. On our panoramic city tour, we will see the city’s UNESCO-protected historical texture and landmark structures. First, we proceed along Avenida dos Aliados. One of Porto’s widest boulevards, this avenue is among the areas seen panoramically with its granite historic buildings and city hall view. Next, we see São Bento Railway Station from the outside. The blue-and-white azulejo tiles on the station’s interior walls depict scenes from Portuguese history. On our route, Porto Cathedral (Sé do Porto) will be seen from the outside panoramically. Located on one of the highest points in the city, the cathedral area is one of the places where a short photo stop will be made to capture Porto’s historic center. Then we continue panoramically along Ribeira District, known for its narrow streets and traditional houses. Afterwards, UNESCO-listed Luís I Bridge is seen panoramically. Its iron construction creates one of the city’s most recognizable silhouettes. From there we reach Clérigos Tower and the Livraria Lello area; the tower will be seen from the outside panoramically and the exterior of Lello can be photographed. We complete the tour by seeing Bolhão Market and the surrounding commercial area. This area, where local products are sold, is one of the places where we can observe everyday life in Porto. After the Porto Masterpieces Tour and a short free time, we arrive at our hotel in the Porto region, check in, and enjoy free time to rest. PORTO – MADRID After breakfast and hotel check-out, we depart for Madrid. Madrid, the capital of the Kingdom of Spain and also the third largest city in the European Union, is considered the country’s political, economic, and cultural center. During our city tour in Madrid, where monuments, statues, and natural beauty blend with modern architecture, we see Plaza Mayor, Paseo de la Castellana, the bullring, Gran Via, Plaza de España, the Royal Palace, and Puerta de Alcalá panoramically. After the city tour and a short free time, we transfer to our hotel in the Madrid region. Room check-in and free time to rest. MADRID – (Toledo Tour) – IZMIR After breakfast and hotel check-out, we head to Madrid Airport for our return flight to İzmir. Along the way, guests who wish may join the optional Toledo Tour (50 EUR). Upon arrival in Toledo, we conduct our tour. Founded by Jews in 590 BC and today home to people belonging to three major religions living together peacefully, Toledo is one of Spain’s most important cities historically and touristically and is also known as the “city of knights.” The Tagus River, the largest river on the Iberian Peninsula, flows through the city. As one of the largest medieval cities in the world, it has been included in the UNESCO World Heritage List and protected. Cervantes, the author of Don Quixote, was born in this city. Toledo Cathedral, whose construction took approximately 270 years and which was formerly a mosque and is now the third most important cathedral in the world and the main cathedral of Spain, housing some of the world’s most valuable works, San Martín Bridge, damascene work (Damascinos), and workshops and shops where gold handcrafting is done, are among the places seen panoramically during our tour. After the tour, we continue our journey to Madrid Airport. Upon arrival at the airport and completion of ticketing, baggage drop-off, and passport control procedures, we fly to İzmir at 19:35 with SunExpress Airlines flight XQ921. Arrival at İzmir Adnan Menderes Airport at 00:30 local time and end of the tour.
