Day 1 Izmir – Basel – Strasbourg
Meeting at Izmir Adnan Menderes Airport, in front of the SunExpress Airlines counter at the international departures terminal, 3 hours before the flight. After baggage, ticket, and passport procedures, departure for Basel at 12:10 on SunExpress Airlines flight XQ 912. Upon arrival in Basel at 13:25 local time, our city tour of Basel begins with the vehicle waiting for us at the airport. Basel, Switzerland’s third most populous city after Zurich and Geneva, is a magnificent city that combines both modern and historical textures and, although small in area, contains many treasures. During our city tour, the Basel Cathedral, where the tomb of the famous Renaissance writer Erasmus of Rotterdam is located, Marktplatz, the main square of the city, the Government Building, and Hotel Les Trois Rois are among the places to be seen. After the tour, departure for Strasbourg. As you visit Strasbourg, one of the most beautiful cities in France and the pearl of the Alsace region, you will feel as if you are traveling back in time through Europe’s largest cobblestone medieval neighborhoods. With its fairytale-like nature and historical structures, wooden houses, medieval churches, cathedrals, and many works of art, it is a place well worth seeing. Strasbourg, which also holds historical importance as the place where the French national anthem “La Marseillaise” was written, appears as a city where Alsace culture and French architecture blend together. During our city tour, Strasbourg Cathedral, the Rohan Palace, Kleber Square, and the Petit France district decorated with traditional Alsace houses will be among the places to be seen. Day 2 Strasbourg – Eguisheim – Colmar – Kaysersberg – Riquewihr – Strasbourg
After breakfast at the hotel, our guests who wish may join the extra tour of the Fairytale Villages of Alsace (Eguisheim & Colmar & Kaysersberg & Riquewihr), which will be organized additionally. (110 Euro) In this tour, where we will want to take photos at every opportunity, the first place we will visit is Eguisheim. Awarded the title of “Favorite French Village” in 2013, Eguisheim is a village where history and nature dance together. Its colorful houses reflecting the typical architecture of the Alsace region create Eguisheim’s postcard-like appearance. After the tour, we head to Colmar, famous for its historic buildings dating back to the Middle Ages, Gothic-style churches, and colorful houses. While strolling through the well-preserved streets of Colmar, the places to be seen include St. Martin Cathedral, built entirely of pink stone, Little Venice with its small canals reminiscent of Venice in Italy, Maison Pfister, one of Colmar’s oldest houses, and Maison des Tetes, a Renaissance building decorated with hundreds of heads. Our third stop on the tour is Kaysersberg. Kaysersberg is a fascinating part of the Alsace region as a medieval town in France. It is famous for its colorful houses, narrow streets, and historical atmosphere. In particular, the Château de Kaysersberg castle, dating back to the 13th century, is one of the town’s most prominent landmarks. Sainte-Croix Church, located in the center of the town, also stands out with its Gothic architecture. After the tour, we proceed to our final stop, Riquewihr, one of Alsace’s most enchanting towns, enriched by numerous half-timbered houses that add to its charm. This historic village impresses visitors with its old houses decorated with colorful flowers, narrow streets, and medieval atmosphere surrounded by walls. On the tour we will also see the ruins of Riquewihr Castle and walk along the village’s old ramparts to feel the medieval ambiance. After the tour, transfer to our hotel in Strasbourg. Day 3 Strasbourg – Heidelberg – Baden Baden – Outlet Center – Strasbourg
After breakfast at the hotel, free time. Our guests who wish may join the extra tour of the Splendid Germany Duo (Heidelberg & Baden Baden & Outlet Center). (110 Euro) Our first stop on the tour is Heidelberg. Its streets, squares, and buildings will make you feel the Middle Ages at every corner and take you on a journey through time. Dignified, elegant, and refined, Heidelberg will welcome you with the harmony of architecture and colors. During our city tour here, Hauptstrasse, Marktplatz Square, the Old Bridge, and Heidelberg Castle will be among the places to be seen. After the tour, our second stop is Baden Baden, a city immersed in nature, an oxygen-rich haven, a center of culture and art, with its thermal spas and even Europe’s most famous casino among its many attractions. After visiting the unique travel route of Baden Baden, which has inspired many famous writers and composers, we enjoy free time at the outlet center where many famous brands are gathered. After the tour, transfer to our hotel. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 4 Strasbourg – Schaffhausen Rhine Falls – Zurich – Lucerne – Strasbourg
After breakfast at the hotel, free time. Our guests who wish may join the extra tour of the Schaffhausen Rhine Falls and Swiss Cities (Rhine Falls & Zurich & Lucerne). (130 Euro) Our first stop on the tour is the natural wonder Rhine Falls, which holds the title of the largest waterfall in Europe with a width of 150 meters and a height of 23 meters. This place, embraced by the powerful currents of the Rhine River, is a paradise where you will find peace while watching the dance of the turquoise waters. After a fascinating walk with the power of the water and the impressive scenery, our second stop is Zurich, the largest city in Switzerland, which welcomes millions of visitors every year with its historic center, striking Gothic-style churches, and historical buildings. After seeing Grossmünster and Fraumünster Churches and St. Peter’s Church, which has the largest clock tower in Europe, we tour Bahnhofstrasse, considered the city’s shopping center. After the tour, we go to Lucerne, a historic city located in the central part of Switzerland, at the foot of the Alps. In this enchanting city, after seeing the Lion Monument, built in memory of the 800 Swiss soldiers who were martyred while protecting King Louis XVI and his family, the Chapel Bridge, and the magnificent view of Lake Lucerne, we end our tour and transfer to our hotel. Overnight at our hotel in Strasbourg or surrounding area.
Day 5 Strasbourg – Stuttgart – Izmir
After breakfast, check out of the rooms and depart for Stuttgart Airport, as indicated by our guide. After baggage, ticket, and passport procedures, departure for Izmir at 14:05 on SunExpress Airlines flight XQ 973. Arrival at 18:55 local time and end of our tour.
