Day 1 İzmir – Barcelona Meeting 3 hours before departure at the SunExpress Airlines counter in the international departures terminal of Izmir Adnan Menderes Airport. After baggage, ticket, and passport procedures, departure to Barcelona on SunExpress Airlines flight XQ 894 at 07:20. Upon arrival at 10:00 local time, we begin our Barcelona city tour with our vehicle waiting for us at the airport. Barcelona is Spain’s second-largest city and has gained worldwide fame as the vibrant and fascinating capital of the Catalonia region. Bathed by the warm waters of the Mediterranean, this magnificent city offers a unique blend of history, art, culture, and entertainment. With its grand architecture, colorful streets, delicious cuisine, and lively nightlife, Barcelona attracts millions of visitors every year. The city is like an open-air museum adorned with the unique works of Antoni Gaudí. During our city tour, the places to be seen include La Sagrada Familia Church, the Christopher Columbus Monument, Montjuïc Hill, La Rambla Street, Spain and Catalunya Squares, the Bullring, and the Olympic Port. Day 2 Barcelona – Girona & Figueres (Dali Museum) – Barcelona After breakfast at the hotel, guests who wish may join the extra tour of the Magnificent Gems of Northern Catalonia (Girona & Figueres & Dali Museum). Girona is a historic city located in northeastern Catalonia, about 100 kilometers north of Barcelona, and is famous for its medieval narrow streets, historic buildings, museums, churches, and ramparts. On our tour here, the Lion statue, Cathedral Square, and the famous Jewish Quarter (El Call) will be among the places seen. After the tour, we head to Figueres. Figueres is a city located northeast of Girona and is known as the birthplace of Salvador Dalí. The city is closely associated with the life and works of the famous Spanish painter Salvador Dalí. The most important tourist attraction in Figueres is the Salvador Dalí Museum. Dalí established a museum here to leave something in the place where he was born and to exhibit his works. Today, this museum has the largest Dalí collection, and since Dalí designed every part of it, it is regarded as Dalí’s greatest work. The museum contains more than 4,000 works created by Dalí using different techniques. After the tour, transfer to our hotel. Day 3 Barcelona – Park Güell & Gothic Quarter – Barcelona After breakfast at the hotel, guests who wish may join the extra tour of Gaudí’s Magnificent Masterpiece Park Güell & Gothic Quarter. (60 Euro) Our first stop is Park Güell. One of Antoni Gaudí’s magnificent works, Park Güell is on the UNESCO World Heritage List. Known as a fairy-tale park, it creates a magical atmosphere with its colorful stairways and whimsical pavilions. After seeing this wonderful work by Gaudí, our second stop is the Gothic Quarter. In the Gothic Quarter, you can feel the enchanting atmosphere of the Middle Ages with its narrow labyrinth-like streets, Gothic churches, romantic squares, and Roman walls, and admire the historic fabric. Among the most important structures in the neighborhood are Barcelona Cathedral, Plaça Reial (Royal Square), Plaça del Rei (King’s Square), and La Rambla. After the tour, guests who wish may join the extra Magnificent Sitges Tour. (40 Euro) Sitges is a charming seaside town located southwest of Barcelona on the Mediterranean coast. It is famous for its turquoise sea, beautiful beaches, and lively atmosphere, as well as its art and cultural events, and hosts many art galleries, museums, and festivals. We begin our visit with the magical steps of the San Bartolome–Santa Tecla Cathedral and lose ourselves in its historic streets. This cathedral, dating back to the 17th century, rises on the remains of older Romanesque and Gothic churches. After admiring this magnificent cathedral, our next journey takes us through the historic streets of Sitges, and within the medieval town center, the Maricel Palace and Museum, one of the exquisite examples of Modernism, is a true paradise for collectors. Right opposite is the Cau Ferrat Museum, the house of Santiago Rusiñol, one of the leaders of the modernist movement in Catalonia. As he began exhibiting his paintings here in Sitges, he played one of the biggest roles in making the town so well known. After seeing the colorful houses and charming bars in the narrow streets where the Sitges Festival is held every year and which host thousands of people in the horror and fantasy film categories, we will head to the beach and spend the rest of our time enjoying the day like the locals here. After the tour, transfer to our hotel. Overnight at the hotel. Day 4 Barcelona – İzmir After breakfast at the hotel, transfer to the airport at the time determined by the guide.
