ISTANBUL – BERGAMO – MILAN – (Verona Tour) – VENICE
After completing baggage drop, ticketing, and passport control at Sabiha Gökçen Airport Domestic Terminal 3 hours before departure, we fly to Bergamo at 08:50 with Pegasus Airlines’ scheduled flight PC1211. Upon arrival at Bergamo Airport at 10:40 local time, we meet our private bus waiting at the airport and head to Milan city center to carry out our city tour. After arriving in Milan, we begin our city tour. Milan, one of Europe’s fashion capitals, also stands out with its cuisine, opera, churches, and priceless works of art such as Leonardo da Vinci’s fresco The Last Supper. Although it is Italy’s business and finance capital, it is also the right destination for shopping, nightlife, and dining experiences. During our city tour in Milan, the famous opera house La Scala, Duomo Square and Cathedral, La Galleria, where many famous brands are located and where you can enjoy shopping, and Porta Romana will be among the places to see. After the Milan city tour, we head toward Venice. En route, guests who wish may join the extra Verona Tour (50 Euro). Verona, listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is also home to Italy’s second-largest amphitheater after the Colosseum and, as the setting of Shakespeare’s famous work Romeo & Juliet, the world’s greatest love story, the House of Juliet. We complete our tour in Verona with a visit to Erbe Square and continue our journey toward our hotel in the Venice region. Transfer to our hotel in the Venice area. VENICE – (Venice Masterpieces & Hidden Venice Walking Tour) – PISA – FLORENCE
After breakfast and check-out from the hotel, we depart for Pisa. En route, guests who wish may join the extra Venice Masterpieces and Hidden Venice Walking Tour (80 Euro – “including Vaporetto and city entrance fees”). During our tour in Venice, we will see major iconic landmarks such as St. Mark’s Square, built from stone and marble and featuring columns brought from Istanbul, St. Mark’s Basilica, the Doge’s Palace, designed and used as a symbol of splendor and power, the Clock Tower, the Bridge of Sighs, and the historic Campanile Bell Tower. Afterwards, we will enjoy a pleasant walk through the streets of Venice, interconnected by bridges and stretching along narrow canals. After free time, we continue our journey to Pisa. Upon arrival in Pisa, our tour includes the Leaning Tower of Pisa, the cathedral, the baptistery, and Miracles Square. After a short free time to see and photograph the world-famous Leaning Tower of Pisa, we transfer to our hotel in the Florence area. Check-in to rooms and free time to rest.
FLORENCE – (San Gimignano & Siena Tour) – ROME
After breakfast and check-out from the hotel, we depart for a panoramic city tour of Florence. In Florence, the capital of the Renaissance and the hometown of Pinocchio, we will first see from the outside the Santa Maria del Fiore Cathedral, with its immediately striking orange dome, which is the 4th largest church in Europe. One of the cathedral’s most remarkable features is its bronze doors, known as the “Gates of Paradise,” on which the stories of prophets mentioned in the Qur’an are also depicted as representations. Then we will see Giotto’s Bell Tower, once used to summon the people to parliament, Signoria Square, which was the political and social center of Florence for centuries and where Michelangelo’s famous statue of David is located, and the Old Bridge (Ponte Vecchio), famous for its antique and jewelry shops. After the Florence city tour, we head to Rome. En route, guests who wish may join the extra San Gimignano & Siena Tour (80 Euro). Our first stop on the tour will be San Gimignano. San Gimignano, which has preserved its medieval architecture and appearance to the present day, has earned its place on the UNESCO World Heritage List. It is also known as the “Town of Beautiful Towers” thanks to the 14 architectural wonder towers that survived from the 76 towers left standing after wars and natural disasters. After our sightseeing walk through the narrow streets of San Gimignano, where time seems to have stood still and where visitors feel as if they have traveled back to the Middle Ages, and through its squares from which the 14 magnificent towers can be seen panoramically, we arrive at our next stop, Siena. Siena is famous for its narrow medieval streets, small avenues, and Campo Square, considered one of the largest squares in Europe. After an enjoyable walk through Campo Square and the historic narrow streets leading to it, we continue our journey to Rome. Upon arrival at our hotel in the Rome area, check-in to rooms and free time to rest.
ROME – (Rome Icons & Nemi Strawberry Village Tour) – (Vatican and Rome Local Neighborhoods Tour)
After breakfast, we offer a full day of free time. Guests who wish may join the extra Rome Icons & Nemi Strawberry Village Tour (85 Euro). Our first stop on the tour will be Nemi. Known for its wild strawberries and therefore called the “Strawberry Village,” Nemi hosts an annual strawberry festival. After our sightseeing walk through Nemi, where narrow streets opening onto squares, a breathtaking lake and valley view, and the scent of strawberries in the air come together, we take you on a historical journey through Rome and its icons, described as Urbs aput mundi, meaning “the city at the center of the world,” where art, history, music, shopping, sunshine, and cuisine await you. The buildings, ranging from antiquity to the Renaissance, make Rome a place where architects competed with one another, attracting thousands of tourists in every season, yet still carrying them comfortably without overwhelming the city. On our tour of Rome, the city that has shaped European civilization and bears witness to 23 centuries of history, we will first see the Colosseum, the symbol of the city and the ancient theater that hosted gladiator fights during the Roman Empire, the Roman Forum, the ceremonial center of the city in imperial times, the Trevi Fountain, into which, according to legend, those who throw a coin will return to Rome, the Spanish Steps, famous for street artists, and Piazza Pietra and Piazza Popolo, which will be seen panoramically. At the end of the tour, we offer free time in Rome city center at the Pantheon. During this free time, guests who wish may join the extra Vatican and Rome Local Neighborhoods Tour (65 Euro). Starting with views of Castel Sant’Angelo and Navona Square, our tour takes us to the Vatican / San Pietro, the center of the Catholic denomination of Christianity and the smallest country in the world by area. At St. Peter’s Square, where thousands of Catholics gather for worship each year and where, on special occasions, the Pope comes out from his residence to greet the public, we will offer free time at St. Peter’s Basilica, the world’s largest cathedral with 140 statues of saints. Depending on availability, guests may visit the cathedral section “free of charge.” After the free time, we begin our Rome Local Neighborhoods tour. In this walk, where we mingle with the people of Rome and feel like locals ourselves, we experience the real Italian atmosphere in Trastevere, Piazza Trilussa, Ponte Sisto, and the Ghetto district, with its naturalness and simplicity, as well as its cafes, small family restaurants, boutiques, grocers, butchers, and many other small and charming shops. The Antico Tiber Island, connected to the city by two bridges, will also be among the places to see. After our walk through the maze-like backstreets with small tables set out, we complete the tour and return to our hotel in the Rome area.
ROME – (Outlet Tour) – ISTANBUL
After breakfast and check-out from the hotel, we head to Rome Fiumicino Airport for our return flight to Istanbul. En route, guests who wish may join the extra Outlet Tour (25 Euro). After a pleasant free time at the outlet center, which hosts the most prestigious brands of Italy, a country that leads the world and fashion trends, as well as cafes, restaurants, and personal activity areas, we continue our journey to the airport. Upon arrival at the airport, after completing baggage drop, check-in, and passport control procedures, we fly to Istanbul at 14:50 with Pegasus Airlines flight PC1224. Arrival at Istanbul Sabiha Gökçen Airport at 18:20 local time and end of the tour.
