GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS

1- These General Terms and Conditions are an integral part of the tour program and cannot be considered independently of the tour program.

2- If sufficient participation for the trip is not achieved, DGNTRAVEL may cancel the tour up to 21 days before the tour departure date. In such a case, the cancellation information will be conveyed to the guest. The full tour price will be refunded to the guest. Regarding refunds for additional services purchased outside the tour: domestic connecting flights purchased from DGNTRAVEL will also be refunded to the guest; if a visa application has been submitted on behalf of the guest using the visa service and travel health insurance, these services will have been used and therefore cannot be refunded, whereas if no visa application has been submitted, the visa and travel health insurance will also be cancelled and refunded. If the guest purchased the domestic connecting flight from a different product provider independently of DGNTRAVEL, the guest cannot request any refund from DGNTRAVEL if the trip is cancelled by DGNTRAVEL. The guest accepts in advance, at the time of purchasing the tour, any material and moral losses that may arise due to the cancellation of the tour, and DGNTRAVEL cannot be held responsible.

3- If sufficient participation for the trip is not achieved, DGNTRAVEL reserves the right not to cancel the tour as a gesture of goodwill. In this case, since the tour will be provided individually for the guest, the guiding service included in the package will cover only the airport transfers for the international outbound and return journeys.

Cancellation and Changes

4- For cancellations made more than 30 days before the tour departure date, the cost of flight tickets that are non-refundable and do not allow cancellation & changes will be charged as a penalty.

5- Our guests have the right to cancel without penalty, provided that they notify DGNTRAVEL in writing up to 30 days before the tour departure date, excluding flight tickets for which payment has been made and/or a commitment has been undertaken by DGNTRAVEL to the airline. If fewer than 31 days remain until the trip start date, cancellation may be made by paying a penalty equal to 50% of the tour fee remaining after deducting the flight ticket cost; if 15 days or less remain until the trip start date, cancellation may be made by paying the full tour fee as a penalty. If cancellation is requested, advance information must be obtained regarding refunds for additional services such as domestic connecting flights, visa services and travel health insurance, since their cancellation and refund conditions may vary depending on the period in which cancellation is requested. DGNTRAVEL cannot make any commitment regarding the cancellation and refund of additional services.

Guiding Services and Extra Tours

6- The days and times of the tours specified in the program may be changed by the guide depending on whether the museums and archaeological sites at the destinations are open or closed and on weather conditions. Different guides may accompany our guests during the tours.

7- The panoramic city tours included in the tour package are tours lasting no more than 2–3 hours, arranged for the general introduction of the cities and conducted panoramically with the guide’s narration from inside the vehicle; they do not include museum or archaeological site entrance fees. If the panoramic tours, including the other tours specified in the program, cannot take place because local authorities do not permit visits to or entry into the relevant places on the corresponding day and at the corresponding time, because roads are closed due to any event, or because weather conditions make it impossible to conduct the tour, DGNTRAVEL shall not be held responsible for the inability to carry out such tours. Some tours may be conducted by public transport or on foot, where possible, in locations with closed roads or where vehicle entry is not permitted.

8- Our guide may change the days of city tours and/or additional tours, in accordance with the content of our tours, depending on the number of participants and whether museums and archaeological sites are closed. This also applies in the event of changes to flight times.

9- Points to consider on our tours conducted by speedboats: do not eat a heavy meal or drink excessive amounts of water immediately before boarding the boat. Guests with stomach, back or neck problems, as well as pregnant guests, must inform their guides of their condition.

10- If the tours or meal services specified in the section of services included in the prices are not attended, no refund will be provided.

Regarding Flights

11- DGNTRAVEL is an intermediary between the airline and the passenger. In possible disputes, the relevant provisions of Turkish legislation, as well as the Hague Protocol and the Warsaw Convention, shall apply.

12- There may be delays or changes to flight times on scheduled and charter flights. DGNTRAVEL is obliged to notify guests of these changes as soon as possible. The passenger has purchased the trip by accepting the risk of a change or cancellation of the flight time.

13- Children between 0 and 2 years of age pay only the airport tax.

14- In accordance with airline rules, if the outbound flight of round-trip flight tickets is not used, the return flight is cancelled by the airline.

15- For persons participating in tours involving air travel, check-in and boarding procedures are personal procedures, and guests are required to complete these procedures before the flight at the airports, at the relevant airline counters, or online through the airlines’ websites.

16- Last-minute delays and gate changes that may occur on flights are announced audibly at airports and displayed on the information boards in the airport. Guests must personally follow this information.

17- DGNTRAVEL shall not be responsible if guests who are not present at the specified airport at the times notified in accordance with airline rules, who do not complete check-in and boarding procedures on time, or who complete check-in and boarding procedures on time but do not board the aircraft are unable to take their flight. Guests who miss their flight are responsible for all expenses arising from obtaining the new outbound and return flight tickets required to join the tour and transfers in the destination region, etc.

18- Generally, the luggage allowance for flights departing from Turkey is 20 kg. This allowance may vary depending on the airline and the destination country. If there are domestic flights in the destination country, the luggage allowance on these domestic flights may decrease to 15 kg. Excess baggage weight and pricing rules are determined by the airlines and are not the responsibility of DGNTRAVEL.

19- For our guests who wish to upgrade their flight tickets using miles (to business or first class): after the tickets have been issued, the upgrade may be carried out subject to the availability of the airline (please check the airline with which you hold membership). No mileage guarantee is provided for any flight. Please check whether the program tickets belong to an upgradeable class.

20- On some airlines, food and beverage services and online check-in may be subject to an additional fee.

Other Matters

21- DGNTRAVEL shall not accept responsibility for any change or cancellation made by the guest by contacting the hotel directly. In such a case, DGNTRAVEL’s cancellation conditions shall apply.

22- In cases where only category information is provided in the tour program without specifying hotel name(s) and/or alternatives are offered for the same destination, DGNTRAVEL will notify the guest 48 hours before the trip departure.

23- During special periods such as fairs, congresses, concerts, events and sports tournaments, hotels may be used at distances greater than the specified locations or kilometer distances. In such a case, DGNTRAVEL will provide information 15 days before the tour departure date.

24- At the time of registration for the purchased tour, the guest must correctly enter/provide in the system the name as stated in the passport, date of birth and passport number. Flight tickets are issued according to this information. Penalties for cancellation or changes to flight tickets arising from incorrect information will be charged to the guests.

25- In order to use your mobile phones abroad, before leaving Turkey, contact the company to which your line belongs and check whether your phone is enabled for use abroad.

26- For accommodation, hotel check-in time is 15:00 and check-out time is 12:00.

27- DGNTRAVEL communicates requests concerning rooms (high floor, proximity to common areas, smoking/non-smoking, bed type) to the hotel. Efforts are made to ensure that the reserved rooms meet the guest’s preferences, subject to hotel availability. Fulfilment of these requests depends on availability at check-in and cannot be guaranteed by DGNTRAVEL.

28- The breakfasts served at hotels differ from the rich breakfast customary in Turkish cuisine. They generally consist of limited options known as a continental breakfast, including butter, jam, bread, tea or coffee, and may be served in a separate hall allocated to the group.

29- In some cases, there may be a double bed instead of a twin-bedded room. Most European hotels offer rooms with two beds that can be joined together when necessary.

30- Each hotel’s policy regarding children and extra beds may vary according to room type.

31- Any extra bed or baby cot is provided upon request and subject to hotel availability, and must be approved by the hotel.

32- The maximum capacity for an extra bed or baby cot in a room is one.

33- Extra beds are available in triple rooms; in these types of rooms, the bed allocated to the third person is smaller than standard beds. Triple rooms consist of 1 large bed + 1 extra bed. Extra beds consist of beds referred to as foldaway beds and coach beds. Our guests shall be deemed to have declared that they accept the possible cramped conditions and bed type in rooms resulting from the extra beds added to standard rooms for triple-room and/or child-inclusive reservations.

34- If the number of children staying with adults and the children’s ages stated in hotel reservations are incorrectly declared by our guests, the relevant hotels may charge an additional fee. In such a case, responsibility lies with the guest who made the incorrect declaration. The hotel may request identification to determine the children’s ages.

35- In reservations for 2 adults + 1 child, a separate bed may not be available for the child. Child prices are valid only when the child stays with two adults. Child discounts apply to one child in the age group eligible to stay with two adults.

36- Changes in exchange rates during the day are reflected in TL prices. The exchange rates at the time of payment are valid. Additional requests and certain extra services received at the hotel (minibar, ironing, etc.) are subject to additional charges by the hotel. These costs are not included in the price at the time of purchase and are paid directly to the hotel during your stay.

37- Some countries have different practices concerning city, tourism or local taxes. All such city, tourism or other taxes applied in this manner are collected from the guest by the hotel upon arrival or departure.

38- The road distances given in the programs are based on maps. Travel times may be extended due to traffic, weather conditions, the geographical location of the country visited, roadworks and road conditions.

39- In mandatory situations or when it deems necessary, DGNTRAVEL may change the order of the cities in the program and the main airline to be used, without altering the content of the program.

40- The personal belongings, bags, luggage and passports/identity cards of persons participating in the tour are their own responsibility, and DGNTRAVEL is not responsible for forgotten, lost or stolen belongings. If forgotten belongings are found, the costs incurred in delivering them to the country and/or person concerned shall be borne by the owner of the belongings.

41- Persons participating in the tour are required to carry their travel health insurance policies and any relevant medication and medical reports if they have health problems.

42- Upon check-in, the hotel may request a photo ID/passport issued by official authorities and a credit card or cash deposit for possible extra expenses. The refund of the requested deposit at check-out is a transaction between the hotel and the guest, and DGNTRAVEL has no involvement.

Visa and Passport

43- A visa requirement applies to citizens of the Republic of Türkiye.

44- Our guests’ passports must be valid for at least 6 months from the end date of the trip.

45- At customs crossings/border gates, your passport must contain at least 2 blank pages so that entry and exit stamps can be affixed.

46- Being exempt from a visa to enter the countries on this tour does not mean that entry into or exit from the country is guaranteed. Passport control officers have the authority to refuse your entry into or exit from the country. DGNTRAVEL is not responsible for this situation; responsibility lies with the passenger.

47- Guests who are not Turkish citizens or who hold dual citizenship and will participate in the tour using the passport of the other country must personally consult the relevant consulates regarding the visa procedure applied by the country to be visited for the passport they will use. Otherwise, DGNTRAVEL shall not be responsible for any resulting consequences.

48- To avoid problems with customs officers at the border gate of the country to be visited due to passports that are torn, worn, wet and/or subject to similar damage, passports must be renewed. Otherwise, responsibility lies with the passenger.

49- As there is a possibility that guests under the age of 18 travelling alone or with only one of their parents may be asked by police officers at entry and exit points for a document showing the joint consent of both parents, we recommend that guests under 18 and their parents take particular care regarding this matter.
