In the final part of our walk, we head to the Vatican, the center of the Christian world, and see the magnificent St. Peter’s Square surrounded by Bernini’s colonnades. Then, accompanied by our guide, we enter St. Peter’s Basilica. You will have the opportunity to explore independently the magnificent dome designed by Michelangelo, the Pietà sculpture, and the unique artworks inside the basilica. This walk through Rome’s atmosphere intertwined with history, art, and faith will offer an unforgettable experience. Day 2: Rome – Naples & Pompeii – Rome After breakfast, the day is free at leisure. On the way, guests who wish may join the Pisa Tour. Known in history as the birthplace of the Renaissance, Florence is one of the most important cultural centers not only of Italy but of the world, shaping European art and thought. Rising under the patronage of the Medici family, this city was home to and inspired many geniuses such as Dante Alighieri, Leonardo da Vinci, Michelangelo Buonarroti, and Botticelli. It also played a leading role in banking, textiles, and the arts, and at one time served as the capital of the Kingdom of Italy. During our city tour, we will see Florence’s masterpieces that combine Gothic and Renaissance architecture, including the Santa Maria del Fiore Cathedral (Duomo) and its impressive façade, the Baptistery, Giotto’s Bell Tower, Signoria Square, considered the political center of the city, Palazzo Vecchio (Signoria Palace) in the square, the sculpture-filled Loggia dei Lanzi, Uffizi Square, home to world-famous collections, the historic and elegant Ponte Vecchio Bridge over the Arno River, Piazza della Repubblica, which connects the city’s modern and historical fabric, and San Lorenzo Market, known for local products. Optional Tour: Pisa Tour — Per Person: 45 EUR We will have the opportunity to see the iconic Leaning Tower of Pisa up close. From Tronchetto port, the final vehicle access point, we take a vaporetto to the historic island. After an enjoyable vaporetto ride, we begin our tour among the canals, disembarking near St. Mark’s Square, the historical center of the city. Here, where motor vehicles are absent and boats replace the everyday vehicles we are used to seeing—police, ambulances, garbage trucks, municipal buses, etc.—we walk from the quayside toward St. Mark’s Square. Along the way, you can see the Venice Prison and the Bridge of Sighs connecting the prison to the Doge’s Palace, San Giorgio Island across the bridge, and the twin columns in front of the main façade of the Doge’s Palace, considered the gateway to the city, topped with the symbols of Venice. The square where St. Mark’s Basilica stands was called “the most beautiful square in the world” by Napoleon. Although the basilica was completed in the 9th century, it took until the 17th century to reach its current form. The four bronze horses on the front façade were brought from Istanbul after the Fourth Crusade. During your free time, you can watch the statues atop the clock tower striking the bells on the hour and climb the bell tower for a panoramic view of Venice. In addition, guests who wish may join the optional Burano Island Tour. After the tour, free time. Then we transfer to our hotel, check in, and overnight in Venice. After seeing the Scaligero family tombs that ruled Verona, we panoramically view the house where Romeo and Juliet, inspired William Shakespeare, were born. After a short free time, we head to Lake Garda, the largest lake in Italy. Lake Garda captivates with its natural beauty, peaceful atmosphere, and lakeside scenery. Here, you can take a walk by the lake, photograph the unique views, and enjoy the refreshing breeze. After free time, we return to our bus and complete the tour. Optional Tour: Burano Island Tour — Per Person: 35 Euro Burano Island, the most colorful corner of the Venice Lagoon, has a fascinating atmosphere with its colorful houses and peaceful streets. After a short walk with our guide on the island, free time will be given. You can browse Burano’s famous handmade lace, stroll among the pastel-colored houses, and enjoy a coffee by the water. With its silence, simplicity, and fairy-tale appearance, Burano adds a calm yet unforgettable memory to your Venice trip. Day 5: Venice – Lake Como and Town – Milan After breakfast, we depart for Milan. Upon arrival in Milan, we begin our city tour. Milan is not so much dazzling as it is stylish, not so much creative as it is affluent. It is undoubtedly the lifeblood of the Italian economy and one of Italy’s most remarkable cities. On our panoramic Milan city tour, we will see the Milan Castle, “Castello Sforzesco”; the “Galleria,” one of the first covered shopping arcades in Europe and a landmark that marked the 19th-century Industrial Revolution. The famous French engineer Gustave Eiffel was inspired by it when designing the Eiffel Tower in Paris. The Duomo, where Gothic art is vividly visible, is the fourth-largest church in the world with more than 2,000 statues on its façade. On the fashion-centered streets of via Monte Napoleone and via la Spiga, you can admire the richness of the shop windows. After free time, guests who wish may join our Lake Como and Town Tour. Guiding Services and Extra Tours 6- The days and hours of the tours specified in the program may be changed by the guide due to the status of museums and archaeological sites being open/closed and weather conditions. Different guides may accompany our guests during the tours. 7- Panoramic city tours included in the tour package are organized for the general introduction of cities and are conducted as panoramic tours with explanations from the guide from the vehicle, lasting a maximum of 2-3 hours, and do not include entrance fees to museums or archaeological sites. Wtatil is not responsible for the cancellation of these tours if they cannot be carried out due to local authorities not allowing visits or closures due to any event, or if the tours become impossible due to weather conditions. Some tours may be conducted using public transport or on foot where there are closed roads or restrictions on vehicle access. 8- Our guide may change the days of city tours and/or additional tours based on the content of the tours, the number of participants, and the closure status of the museums and archaeological sites. This also applies in the event of changes in flight times. 9- Important considerations for our tours conducted by speedboats include: not eating heavy meals immediately before boarding, and not drinking excessive amounts of water. Guests with stomach, back, or neck complaints, as well as pregnant guests, should inform their guides of their conditions. 10- There is no refund for services included in the prices if guests do not participate in the specified tours or meal services. About Flights 11- Wtatil acts as an intermediary between the airline and the passenger; in case of any disputes, the relevant provisions of Turkish law, as well as the Hague Protocol and the Warsaw Convention, will apply. 12- Delays or changes in flight times may occur on scheduled and charter flights. Wtatil is obliged to inform about these changes as soon as possible. The passenger accepts the risk of flight time changes/cancellations when purchasing the tour. 13- Children aged 0-2 only pay the airport tax fee. 14- According to airline regulations, round-trip flight tickets purchased for round-trip travel are canceled by the airline if the outbound flight is not used. 15- Check-in and boarding procedures must be carried out by the guests themselves and are personal procedures. These must be done before the flight at the airports, at the relevant airline counters, or online on the airline's websites. 16- Last minute delays and gate changes on flights are announced at airports and displayed on the information boards, which must be followed by guests personally. 17- Wtatil is not responsible for guests who are not present at the specified airport at the designated times, or who fail to timely complete check-in and boarding procedures, or who complete these procedures on time but do not board the plane. All expenses related to obtaining new round-trip tickets and transfers in the destination area for guests who miss their flight are the guests' responsibility. 18- The general baggage allowance for flights departing from Turkey is 20 kg. This weight may vary according to the airline and the destination country. If there are domestic flights in the destination country, the baggage allowance on those flights may drop to 15 kg. Excess baggage weight/price rules are determined by airlines and are not under Wtatil’s responsibility. 19- For guests wishing to upgrade their flight tickets with miles (to business or first class); upgrade procedures can be carried out on the condition that the tickets are subject to the availability of the airline after the tickets are issued (check your airline membership). No guarantee of upgrade is provided for each flight. Please check whether the tickets for the program are in an upgradeable class. 20- Some airlines may charge extra fees for meal and online check-in services. Other Matters 21- Wtatil shall not be responsible for any changes or cancellations made by guests directly with the hotel. In this case, Wtatil's cancellation conditions will apply. 22- If hotels are provided without specified names, only with category information, or are presented as options for the same destination, Wtatil will inform the guest 48 hours before the departure of the trip. 23- During special periods such as fairs, congresses, concerts, events, and sports tournaments, hotels may be used farther than the indicated locations or kilometers. In such cases, Wtatil will provide information 15 days prior to the departure of the tour. 24- During the purchase of the tour, guests must correctly enter/declare the name as it appears on the passport, date of birth, and passport number into the system. Flight tickets are issued based on this information. Penalty fees due to incorrect information leading to flight ticket cancellations or changes will be charged to the guests. 25- To be able to use mobile phones abroad, before leaving Turkey, check with your service provider whether your phone is activated for international use. 26- The hotel check-in time is 15:00, and the check-out time is 12:00. 27- Requests related to the room (high floor, close to public areas, smoking/non-smoking, bed type) are reported to the hotel by Wtatil. Care is taken to ensure that reserved rooms are in accordance with the guests' preferences, depending on the hotel's availability. The fulfillment of these requests depends on availability at check-in, and Wtatil cannot guarantee it. 28- Breakfast served in the hotels may differ from the rich breakfast traditionally offered in Turkish cuisine. It is generally served with limited options consisting of butter, jam, bread, tea, or coffee, commonly referred to as continental breakfast and may be served in a separate room designated for the group. 29- In some cases, a double room may consist of a double bed instead of two single beds. Most European hotels offer twin-bedded rooms that can be combined when necessary. 30- The policy regarding child and extra beds may vary by hotel and room type. 31- Any extra bed or baby cot is provided upon request and depends on the hotel's availability, and must be approved by the hotel. 32- The capacity of an extra bed or baby cot in the room is 1 (maximum). 33- In triple rooms, there is an application for an extra bed, which is smaller than standard beds designated for the 3rd person. Triple rooms consist of 1 large bed + 1 extra bed. Extra beds consist of foldable beds and coach beds. Our guests in triple rooms and/or reservations with children acknowledge that they accept the potential crowding and bed type discrepancies due to the extra beds added to the standard room. 34- In hotel reservations, if the number of children staying with adults and their ages are incorrectly declared by our guests, relevant hotels may charge additional fees. In such cases, the responsibility falls on the guest who provided erroneous information. Hotels may request identification to confirm the ages of children. 35- In reservations for 2 adults + 1 child, there may not be a separate bed for the child. Child prices are only valid if the child is accommodated with two adults. Child discounts apply exclusively to one "single child" who meets the age group accompanying two adults. 36- Currency fluctuations during the day are reflected in the TL prices. The rates at the time of payment are valid. Additional requests and some extra services (minibar, ironing, etc.) provided by the hotel may incur extra charges. These expenses are not included in the purchase and are to be paid directly to the hotel during your stay. 37- Some countries have different applications regarding city, tourism, or local-level taxes. All such city, tourism, or other taxes currently in place will be collected by the hotel from the guest at the time of entry or exit. 38- The distances provided in the programs are based on maps. Travel times may extend due to traffic, weather conditions, the geographical location of the visited country, road works, and conditions. 39- Wtatil may change the order of cities in the program and the main airline to be flown, provided that the content of the program is not altered. 40- Personal belongings, bags, suitcases, passports/identities of participants in the tour are under their own responsibility, and Wtatil is not responsible for items that are forgotten/lost/stolen. In cases where forgotten items are found, the expenses incurred during their return to the country and/or person are the responsibility of the item owner. 41- Participants in the tour are required to carry their travel health insurance policies and any medications and reports for health issues with them. 42- For potential extra expenses at check-in, official identification/pasport and a credit card or cash deposit issued by official institutions may be required by the hotel. The refund of the deposit requested upon check-out is a transaction between the hotel and the guest, and Wtatil has no involvement. Visa and Passport 43- There is a visa requirement for Turkish citizens. 44- Our guests must ensure that their passports are valid for at least 6 months from the date of return from travel. 45- To have an entry-exit stamp posted on your passport at customs crossings/border gates, there must be at least 2 blank pages in your passport. 46- Being exempt from a visa for entry into the countries in this tour does not mean you can enter/exit the country, as the border police have the authority to refuse you entry or exit, and Wtatil is not responsible for this; the responsibility lies with the passenger. 47- Guests who are not Turkish citizens or those with dual nationality who will participate in the tour using a passport of another country must consult the relevant consulates about the visa procedures applicable to the country they will be traveling to. Otherwise, Wtatil will not be responsible for any consequences arising. 48- To avoid issues with border police at the border crossing of the country you will visit due to torn, worn, damp, and/or similarly damaged passports, it is advisable to renew the passports. Otherwise, the responsibility lies with the passenger. 49- Guests under the age of 18 traveling alone or with only one parent may be asked by the police to show a document of consent from both parents upon entering/exiting the country; therefore, we recommend that minors and their parents pay attention to this matter.
