Day 1 Istanbul – Basel – Strasbourg
Meeting 3 hours before the flight at the Turkish Airlines counter in the international departures terminal of Istanbul Airport. After baggage, ticket, and passport procedures, departure for Basel at 08:50 with Turkish Airlines flight TK 1923. Upon arrival in Basel at 10:00 local time, our city tour begins with our vehicle waiting for us at the airport. Basel, the third most populous city in Switzerland after Zurich and Geneva, is a magnificent city that combines both modern and historical textures and, although small in area, contains many treasures. During our city tour, we will see Basel Cathedral, where the grave of the famous Renaissance writer Desiderius Erasmus is located, the main square Marktplatz, the Government Building, and Hotel Les Trois Rois. After the tour, we depart for Strasbourg, one of the most beautiful cities in France and the pearl of the Alsace region. As you explore Strasbourg, you will feel as if you are traveling through history in Europe’s largest cobblestone medieval neighborhoods. Its fairytale-like nature and historical buildings, half-timbered houses, medieval churches, cathedrals, and many works of art make it a place well worth seeing. Strasbourg also holds historical significance as the place where the French national anthem “La Marseillaise” was written, and it appears before us as a city where Alsace culture and French architecture blend together. During our city tour, we will see Strasbourg Cathedral, the Rohan Palace, Kleber Square, and the Petit France district adorned with traditional Alsace houses. After the tour, transfer to our hotel. Overnight at our hotel in Strasbourg or the surrounding area.
Day 2 Strasbourg – Eguisheim – Colmar – Kaysersberg – Riquewihr – Strasbourg
After breakfast at the hotel, our guests who wish may join the extra tour of the Fairytale Villages of Alsace (Eguisheim & Colmar & Kaysersberg & Riquewihr). (110 Euro) In this tour, where we will want to take photos at every opportunity, our first stop will be Eguisheim. Eguisheim, which was awarded the title of “Favorite French Village” in 2013, is a village where history and nature dance together. Its colorful houses, reflecting the typical architecture of the Alsace region, create Eguisheim’s postcard-like appearance. After the tour, we head to Colmar, famous for its historic buildings dating back to the Middle Ages, Gothic-style churches, and colorful houses. While strolling through Colmar’s well-preserved streets, we will see St. Martin’s Cathedral, built entirely of pink stones, Little Venice with its small canals reminiscent of Venice in Italy, Maison Pfister, one of Colmar’s oldest houses, and Maison des Tetes, a Renaissance building decorated with faces. Our third stop is Kaysersberg. Kaysersberg is a charming part of the Alsace region as a medieval town in France. It is famous for its colorful houses, narrow streets, and historical atmosphere. Especially the 13th-century Château de Kaysersberg castle is one of the town’s most prominent symbols. The Sainte-Croix Church in the center of the town also stands out with its Gothic architecture. Our final stop will be Riquewihr, one of the most enchanting towns in Alsace, featuring numerous half-timbered houses that give the town its charm. This historic village captivates visitors with its old houses decorated with colorful flowers, narrow streets, and medieval atmosphere surrounded by walls. On our tour, we will also see the ruins of Riquewihr Castle and walk along the village’s old ramparts to feel the medieval atmosphere. After the tour, transfer to our hotel in Strasbourg. Day 3 Strasbourg – Heidelberg – Baden Baden – Outlet Center – Strasbourg
After breakfast at the hotel, free time. Our guests who wish may join the extra tour of the Magnificent German Duo (Heidelberg & Baden Baden & Outlet Center). (110 Euro) Our first stop on the tour is Heidelberg. Its streets, squares, and buildings will take you on a journey through time, making you feel the Middle Ages in every corner. Heidelberg, a calm, elegant, and refined city, welcomes you with the harmony of architecture and colors. On our city tour here, we will see Hauptstrasse, Marktplatz Square, Old Bridge, and Heidelberg Castle. After the tour, our second stop is Baden Baden, a nature-filled oxygen haven, a center of culture and art, with thermal baths and even one of Europe’s most famous casinos among its many attractions. After visiting Baden Baden, where many famous writers and composers found inspiration, we will have free time at an outlet center where many renowned brands are gathered. After the tour, transfer to our hotel. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 4 Strasbourg – Schaffhausen Rhine Falls – Zurich – Lucerne – Strasbourg
After breakfast at the hotel, free time. Our guests who wish may join the extra tour of the Schaffhausen Rhine Falls and Swiss Cities (Rhine Falls & Zurich & Lucerne). (130 Euro) Our first stop is the natural wonder Rhine Falls, which holds the title of Europe’s largest waterfall with a width of 150 meters and a height of 23 meters. This place, embraced by the powerful currents of the Rhine River, is a paradise where you will find peace while watching the dance of the deep blue waters. After our enchanting walk with the force of the water and the impressive scenery, our second stop is Zurich, the largest city in Switzerland, which welcomes millions of visitors every year with its historic center, eye-catching Gothic-style churches, and historical buildings. After seeing Grossmünster and Fraumünster Churches and St. Peter’s Church, home to Europe’s largest clock tower, we tour Bahnhofstrasse, considered the city’s shopping center. After the tour, we head to Lucerne, a historic city in the central part of Switzerland at the foot of the Alps. In this enchanting city, after seeing the Lion Monument, built in memory of the 800 Swiss soldiers who were martyred while protecting King Louis XVI and his family, the Chapel Bridge, and the magnificent view of Lake Lucerne, we end our tour and transfer to our hotel. Overnight at our hotel in Strasbourg or the surrounding area.
Day 5 Strasbourg – Freiburg – Basel – Istanbul
After breakfast, check-out from the rooms and departure for Freiburg. Freiburg, Germany’s fourth largest city, located near the Black Forest and enchanting visitors with its natural beauty, is a medieval, history-filled city. On our city tour here, we will see Münster Cathedral, one of the finest examples of Gothic architecture and the symbol of the city, Markthalle (Covered Market), Münsterplatz (Main Square), Rathausplatz, Kaiser Joseph Street, Augustiner Platz, Adelhauser Platz, and Gerberau. After the tour, transfer to Basel Airport. Following baggage, ticket, and passport procedures, departure for Istanbul at 18:05 with Turkish Airlines flight TK1926. Arrival in Istanbul at 23:15 local time and end of the tour.
