Meeting at Istanbul Airport at the Turkish Airlines counter in the international departures terminal 3 hours before the flight. After baggage, ticket, and passport procedures, departure to Malta at 08:00 on Turkish Airlines flight TK1369. Upon arrival at 08:30 local time, we will be met by our vehicle and begin our city tour of the capital, Valletta. After a tour by vehicle around the city walls, we will explore the city’s lively streets. Our first stop will be the Barrakka Gardens, built on the upper part of the defensive walls surrounding this magnificent city. These gardens, built by the Knights of St. John, offer views of the Grand Harbour and the three old cities surrounded by walls. We then continue our tour. St. John’s Co-Cathedral, the Grand Master’s Palace, and the Parliament Building are among the sights to be seen. After the tour, transfer to our hotel. Overnight at the hotel.
After breakfast at the hotel, our guests who wish may join the optional Magnificent Gozo Island Tour. (80 Euro). We depart early in the morning from Cirkewwa Harbor on the northern side of the island to Gozo, Malta’s second largest island. During the approximately half-hour ferry ride, we will also see the country’s small islands Comino and Cominotto. Upon arrival, the places we will see on our tour include Ta’Pinu Church, Dwejra, Inland Sea, Fungus Rock, and the fishing village of Marsalforn. Finally, we will visit the island’s capital, Victoria. After seeing the island’s central church, the city walls, the Court of Justice, and the Bishop’s Palace, we will have free time in the city and then return to Malta by ferry. After breakfast at the hotel, our guests who wish may join the optional Magnificent Towns and Cities Tour (Mdina & Mosta & Marsaxlokk & Vittoriosa & Senglea & Cospicua). (80 Euro) Our tour will take us to the central region of Malta, dominated by the historic Mdina Fortress. In Mdina, the former capital of Malta and a place of great historical importance, we will visit the city walls, which offer a nearly panoramic 360-degree view of the island of Malta. We then visit Mosta, a historic town in the center of Malta. The town is famous for the impressive Rotunda Church (Mosta Dome). This church, which has a massive unsupported dome built in Europe, is famously known for the bomb that fell inside it during World War II but did not explode. After the tour, our next stop will be Marsaxlokk, a traditional fishing village. Named after the Arabic word “marsa,” meaning “harbor,” and the southeast wind “xlokk,” the town is known for its harbor filled with brightly colored traditional luzzu boats, its seafaring lifestyle, and its famous seafood restaurants. We then visit the Three Cities (Vittoriosa – Senglea – Cospicua). With narrow stone streets, walled structures, baroque churches, and seaside promenades, these cities were the first area settled by the Knights of Malta in the 16th century and formed the backbone of the island’s military defense line. Each bears traces of the knights, the Ottoman sieges, and Malta’s maritime history. After the tour, transfer to our hotel. Overnight at the hotel.

The village, built as the set of the world-famous 1980 film Popeye, has today been transformed into an open-air museum and amusement park. Consisting of wooden houses, this charming village offers many activities such as interactive shows, playgrounds, and boat tours for both film enthusiasts and families.
