1st Day İstanbul – Barcelona Meeting at Istanbul Airport International Departures terminal, in front of the Turkish Airlines counter, 3 hours before departure. After baggage, ticket, and passport procedures, we depart for Barcelona at 09:00 on Turkish Airlines flight TK1853. Upon arrival at 10:45 local time, our panoramic city tour begins with our vehicle waiting for us at the airport. Barcelona is the second largest city in Spain and a world-famous, vibrant and captivating capital of the Catalonia region. Bathed by the warm waters of the Mediterranean, this magnificent city offers a unique combination of history, art, culture, and entertainment. With its splendid architecture, colorful streets, delicious cuisine, and lively nightlife, Barcelona attracts millions of visitors every year. The city looks like an open-air museum decorated with the unique works of Antoni Gaudí. During our city tour of this beautiful city, places to be seen include La Sagrada Familia Church, the Christopher Columbus Monument, Montjuïc Hill, La Rambla Street, Spain and Catalunya Squares, the Bullring, and the Olympic Port. After the tour, transfer to our hotel and free time. Overnight at the hotel. 2nd Day Barcelona – Girona & Figueres (Dali Museum) – Barcelona After breakfast at the hotel, guests who wish may join the extra tour to be organized: The Pearls of Magnificent Northern Catalonia (Girona & Figueres & Dali Museum) Tour. (70 Euro) Our first stop on this tour is Girona. Girona, a historic city in northeastern Catalonia, about 100 kilometers north of Barcelona, is famous for its medieval narrow streets, historic buildings, museums, churches, and city walls. On our tour here, the Lion Statue, Cathedral Square, and the famous Jewish Quarter (El Call) will be among the places seen. After the tour, we head to Figueres. Figueres is a city located northeast of Girona and is known as the birthplace of Salvador Dalí. The city is closely associated with the life and works of the famous Spanish painter Salvador Dalí. The most important tourist attraction in Figueres is the Salvador Dalí Museum. Dalí had this museum built here to leave something behind in his birthplace and exhibit his works. Today, the museum has the largest Dalí collection, and since every part of it was designed by Dalí himself, it is referred to as Dalí’s greatest masterpiece. The museum contains more than 4,000 works created by Dalí using different techniques. After the tour, transfer back to our hotel. In the evening, guests who wish may join the extra tour to be organized: The Magnificent Flamenco Fire Tour. (55 Euro) Flamenco is considered an expression of emotion and passion and is an important part of Spain’s cultural heritage. As both a dance and a form of music, flamenco offers visitors a lively and exciting experience. After spending a lovely time here, transfer back to our hotel. Overnight at the hotel. 3rd Day Barcelona – Park Güell & Gothic Quarter – Barcelona After breakfast at the hotel, guests who wish may join the extra tour to be organized: Gaudí’s Magnificent Masterpiece Park Güell & Gothic Quarter. (60 Euro) Our first stop on this tour is Park Güell. One of Antoni Gaudí’s magnificent works, Park Güell is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Known as the “fairy-tale park,” this park creates a magical atmosphere with its colorful stairways and imaginary pavilions. After seeing this magnificent work by Gaudí, our second stop is the Gothic Quarter. In the Gothic Quarter, you can feel the enchanting atmosphere of the Middle Ages and admire the historical texture through its narrow, labyrinth-like streets, Gothic churches, romantic squares, and Roman walls. Among the most important structures in the district are Barcelona Cathedral, Plaça Reial (Royal Square), Plaça del Rei (King’s Square), and La Rambla. After the tour, guests who wish may join the extra Sitges Tour. (40 Euro) Sitges is a charming seaside town located southwest of Barcelona on the Mediterranean coast. It is famous for its turquoise sea, beautiful beaches, and lively atmosphere, and is also known for its art and cultural events, hosting many art galleries, museums, and festivals. We begin our visit with the magical stairs of the San Bartolomé-Santa Tecla Cathedral and lose ourselves in its historical streets. This cathedral, dating back to the 17th century, rises on the remains of old Romanesque and Gothic churches. After admiring this magnificent cathedral, our next journey is through the historic streets of Sitges, where within the medieval town center the Maricel Palace and Museum, one of the finest examples of Modernism, is a paradise for collectors. Right opposite it stands the Cau Ferrat Museum, the home of Santiago Rusiñol, one of the leaders of the modernist movement in Catalonia. As he began exhibiting his paintings here in Sitges, he played a major role in making the town so well known. After walking through the narrow streets where the Sitges Festival is held every year, attracting thousands of people with its horror and fantasy film categories, and seeing the colorful houses and charming bars, we will head to the beach and spend the rest of our time enjoying ourselves like the locals here. After the tour, transfer to our hotel. Overnight at the hotel. 4th Day Barcelona – Istanbul After breakfast at the hotel, transfer to the airport at the time determined by the guide.
