Day 1 Barcelona – Istanbul Istanbul Airport International Departures terminal, meeting 3 hours before departure in front of the Turkish Airlines counter. After baggage, ticket, and passport procedures, departure to Barcelona with Turkish Airlines flight TK1853 at 09:00. Upon arrival at 10:45 local time, our panoramic city tour begins with the vehicle waiting for us at the airport. Barcelona is the second-largest city in Spain and a world-renowned city as the vibrant and enchanting capital of the Catalonia region. Bathed by the warm waters of the Mediterranean, this magnificent city offers a unique blend of history, art, culture, and entertainment. With its splendid architecture, colorful streets, delicious cuisine, and lively nightlife, Barcelona attracts millions of visitors every year. The city is like an open-air museum adorned with Antoni Gaudí’s unique works. During our city tour, we will see La Sagrada Familia Church, the Christopher Columbus Statue, Montjuic Hill, La Rambla Street, Spain and Catalunya Squares, the Bullring, and the Olympic Port. Day 2 Barcelona – Girona & Figueres (Dali Museum) – Barcelona After breakfast at the hotel, guests who wish may join the optional tour “The Gems of Magnificent Northern Catalonia (Girona & Figueres & Dali Museum)” (70 Euro). Our first stop is Girona. Girona is a historic city located in northeastern Catalonia, about 100 kilometers north of Barcelona, and is famous for its medieval narrow streets, historic buildings, museums, churches, and city walls. On our tour here, we will see the Lion Statue, Cathedral Square, and the famous Jewish Quarter (El Call). After the tour, we head to Figueres. Figueres is a city located northeast of Girona and is known as the birthplace of Salvador Dali. The city is closely associated with the life and works of the famous Spanish painter Salvador Dali. The most important tourist attraction in Figueres is the Salvador Dali Museum. Dali established this museum here, where he was born, to leave something behind and exhibit his works. Today, this museum has the largest Dali collection, and because Dali designed every part of it, it is regarded as Dali’s greatest masterpiece. The museum contains more than 4,000 works created by Dali using different techniques. After the tour, transfer to our hotel. Day 3 Barcelona – Park Güell & Gothic Quarter – Barcelona After breakfast at the hotel, guests who wish may join the optional “Gaudi’s Magnificent Work: Park Güell & Gothic Quarter” tour (60 Euro). Our first stop is Park Güell. One of Antoni Gaudí’s magnificent works, Park Güell is on the UNESCO World Heritage List. Known as the fairy-tale park, it creates a magical atmosphere with its colorful stairways and imaginative pavilions. After seeing this wonderful work of Gaudí, our second stop is the Gothic Quarter. In the Gothic Quarter, you can feel the enchanting atmosphere of the Middle Ages and admire the historical texture with its narrow labyrinth-like streets, Gothic churches, romantic squares, and Roman walls. Among the most important structures in the area are Barcelona Cathedral, Plaça Reial (Royal Square), Plaça del Rei (King’s Square), and La Rambla. After the tour, guests who wish may join the optional Magnificent Sitges Tour (40 Euro). Sitges is a charming seaside town located southwest of Barcelona on the Mediterranean coast. It is famous for its turquoise sea, beautiful beaches, and lively atmosphere, and is also known for its art and cultural events, hosting many art galleries, museums, and festivals. We begin our visit at the magical steps of the San Bartolome-Santa Tecla Cathedral and wander through its historic streets. This cathedral, dating back to the 17th century, was built on the remains of earlier Romanesque and Gothic churches. After admiring this magnificent cathedral, our journey continues through the historic streets of Sitges, where in the center of the medieval town we find the Maricel Palace and Museum, a true paradise for collectors. Right opposite is the Cau Ferrat Museum, the home of Santiago Rusiñol, one of the leaders of the modernist movement in Catalonia. As he began exhibiting his paintings here in Sitges, he played a major role in the town’s growing fame. After walking through the narrow streets where the annual Sitges Festival is held, which attracts thousands of people and features horror and fantasy film categories, we will see colorful houses and charming bars, then head to the beach and spend the rest of our time enjoying ourselves there like the locals. After the tour, transfer to our hotel. Overnight at the hotel. Day 4 Barcelona – Istanbul After breakfast at the hotel, transfer to the airport at the time to be determined by the guide. After baggage, ticket, and passport procedures, departure to Istanbul Airport on Turkish Airlines flight TK1856 at 18:30. Arrival at 23:55 local time, and the end of the tour.
